Ben Tiger, Jr., 69, of Holdenville died Sept. 3, 2012 in Ada.
He was born Aug. 25, 1943 in Seminole County, the son of Ben Tiger, Sr. and Martha Jane Tiger.
He married Hopeful Mae Locust Tiger on Nov. 14, 1964 in Stilwell, Okla.
He was a welder.
He is survived by wife, Hopeful of the home; one son, Jeff Tiger of Seminole; one sister, Paticia Hooks of Holdenville and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Anthony Tiger; three grandchildren; his parents, and one sister, Neomi Footracer.
Services will be held Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Redbird Smith Ceremonial Grounds in Vian, Okla. Burial will be held at Redbird Smith Cemetery under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw.
Viewing will be Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Agent and Mallory-Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw.
Pallbearers will be his grandchildren

Cunsah Tiger
Wake services for Cunsah Tiger are scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 22, 2012 at Pecan Grove Church in Holdenville with Rev. Malcolm Tiger and Rev. Houston Tiger officiating.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, 2012 at Pecan Grove Church with burial at the Tiger Family Cemetery, Wewoka.
He was born Jan. 25, 1953 in Wewoka to the late Wilson Tiger Sr. and Mary Grayson Tiger.
He died Sunday Nov. 18, 2012 in Oklahoma City at the age of 59.
He attended New Lima Schools and later worked as a handyman.
Preceding him in death are his parents.
Survivors include brothers and sisters, PeeWee Tiger of Tulsa, Wilson Tiger Jr., of Okmulgee, Jeanette Tiger of Tulsa, and Jimpsey Hulbutta of Texas.
Pall bearers will be Benji Tiger, James Ray Harjo, Jr., Anthony Todd, Issac Tiger, Richmond Tiger, and Terrence Harjo.
Honorary pall bearers will be Brett Tiger and Daniel Lee Luna.
The body will be taken to the Church Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012 at 3:30 p.m.
Arrangements are by Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.
Sylvester "Chick" Tiger
Sylvester "Chick" Tiger, 84 year-old, Wewoka resident died at his home Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012.
Chick was born Aug. 7, 1928 to Jesse and Mindy (Jones) Tiger in Seminole County.
In 1938 the family moved to Altus, where Chick graduated from Altus High School.
He went on to serve in the United States Coast Guard where he earned an Honorable discharge.
Chick then furthered his education attending Hardin-Simmons College in Abilene, Texas on a football scholarship and graduated with a B.S. degree in 1954.
He received his Masters degree in Education from the University of Oklahoma in 1967.
Chick spent many years teaching and coaching in Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma and California.
In 1964, he moved his mom and dad back to Maud where he coached his favorite Maud football team.
He then moved to Indio, Calif. where he coached football and golf.
He married his wife, Mary and they had a daughter, Susan before returning to Oklahoma in 1979.
In his earlier years, Chick loved to fish, hunt, and play golf. He was a fan of all sports.
He was the grill-master of "Chick’s 5 Star Hamburgers" in Seminole.
Chick was a member of Achena Indian Presbyterian Church where he was baptized as an infant. Later he became an elder of the Church.
He was also a proud member of the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma.
The body will be taken to Achena Presbyterian Church in Maud on Friday, Nov. 30, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. and wake services will be held at 7:00 p.m. that evening.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012 at Achena Indian Presbyterian Church in Maud with Rev. Dorsey Nero and Elder Ricky Harjo officiating the service.
Interment will follow at Achena Church Cemetery.
Chick is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Mindy Tiger; and by one son, Michael Tiger.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Tiger of the home; son, Chris and his wife, Peggy of Indio, Calif.; daughter, Susan Tiger of the home; son, Ryan Tiger of Pine Knot, Kentucky; daughter-in-law, Jeana of Seminole; three grandchildren, Michael, Noelle, and Jordan; sister, Lucille of Seminole; brother, Nolan of El Reno; and aunt, Dorothy Harjo of Seminole; along with several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.
Casket bearers will be his 1964 season Maud football team.
Honorary bearers will be Achena Church elders.
Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
Nicholas Tilley
Nicholas Duane Tilley, 16, Seminole resident died Friday, Nov. 9, 2012 in Seminole.
Nicholas was born May 9, 1996 in Ada to Alfred Leroy Tilley, Jr. and Frances Lee (Bear) Tilley.
Nicholas was a student at Seminole High School, he loved sports, playing football and basketball and lifting weights.
Nicholas was a very talented person who loved to draw and won the Seminole Nation Art Contest in 2010.
He loved to fish and haul hay.
He was also a member of the First United Pentecostal Church in Seminole.
He is survived by his parents, Alfred Leroy and Frances Lee Tilley of Seminole; five brothers, Michael L. Tilley and his wife Danielle of El Paso, Texas, Brian K. Tilley of Holdenville, Le R. Tilley of Tulsa, Ashley B. Tilley of Seminole and Duke A. Tilley and his wife, Alexis of Seminole; three sisters, Gloria and her husband Julian Fixico of Tulsa, Carrie Tilley and Gina Tilley both of Seminole. His girlfriend, Chuska Tebe of Seminole, and many other family and friends also survive him.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, Nov. 16, 2012 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Jerry Stacy and Bill Hobia officiating. Burial will follow at the Tilley Family Cemetery in Okemah.
There will be a wake service 6:00 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel.
Casket bearers will be Josh Linville, Tyler Jones, Tyler Combs, Jake Carbitcher, Monroe Carbitcher, and Brandon Carbitcher.
Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
Bobby Timmons
Bobby Wayne Timmons, 71, longtime Seminole resident died Tuesday, Feb 21, 2012 in Seminole.
Bobby was born May 15, 1940 in Connerville, Oklahoma to Lloyd James and Minnie Ruth (Cobble) Timmons.
Bobby worked at Big Yank Manufacturing and retired in 1980.
He was a member of the Temple of Praise Church in Seminole.
Bobby was married to Lucille Timmons on Jan 20, 1959 in Ada, and she preceded him in death on Feb 11, 2010.
Bobby is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law; James and Melinda Timmons of Seminole, Rickey Timmons of Shawnee, Daniel and Dana Timmons of Shawnee, and Ronnie and Mindy Timmons of Seminole. One daughter Pamela Jordan, one brother Phil Timmons of Arlington, Texas and three sisters, Christine Easley of Raytown, Missouri, Nell Spencer and LaTricia Houck both of Seminole. Six grandchildren Tommy Timmons, James Timmons, Jr., Nicole Jordan, MaCayla Timmons, Rachael Timmons and Faith Timmons also survive him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Lucille, a sister Joyce, brother Gerald and a grandson Brian Jordan.
Funeral services are set for 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Feb 25, 2012 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jeff Nance officiating.
Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, is in charge of the arrangements.
Irl Timmons
Irl "Tim" Timmons passed away at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital on March 2, 2012, surrounded by loved ones, due to congestive heart failure.
Tim was born Nov. 21, 1937, to Charley and Grace Timmons in Oklahoma. He was the youngest of six children.
Tim served in the U.S. Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1964. The family moved to Alaska in 1972, and he worked in the dental lab business.
The family enjoyed the Alaska lifestyle. Tim especially enjoyed taking his kids fishing and hunting. The whole family loved getting together to cheer on son Sean, who pitched for the Alaska Goldpanners. He also enjoyed gardening and BBQing.
Tim was predeceased by his parents; brothers, T and Lloyd and sister, Molly of Oklahoma.
He is survived by brother, Bill Timmons of Seminole; sister, Jo Parks of Seminole; wife, Dorothy (Linzner); children, Todd (Rachael) Timmons, Sean Timmons and Randy (Tiffany) Timmons, Michelle (Tyrone) Oates, Troy (Kim) Graziadei and Diana (Ted) Hansen, all of Fairbanks and Nick Graziadei of Las Vegas; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Private services were held in Fairbanks.
Arrangements were handled by Fairbanks Funeral Home.
Benjamin Trent
Benjamin Harrison "Benny" Trent, Jr., 47 year old, longtime Seminole resident passed from this life Tuesday, April 24, 2012 in Edmond.
He was born Nov. 24, 1964 in Duncan to parents Benjamin Harrison Trent and Lorene Elizabeth (Barrick) Trent.
On June 21, 1996, Benny married Deborah Anne Maye in Ft. Smith, Arkansas.
Benny moved to Seminole 17 years ago from Duncan.
He worked as a truck driver for Best Well Service in Prague.
He was a member of the Wild Turkey Federation and enjoyed fishing, hunting, roping, shooting pool and cooking out for his family and friends.
Benny leaves to cherish his memory his wife of almost 16 years, Deborah Ann (Maye) Trent of the home; his mother-in-law, Shirley Maye of Seminole; one step-son, Jeremy and his wife Kathy Dennis of Seminole; two step-daughters, Deena and her husband Randy Self of Collinsville, Jamie Blalock of Konawa; one brother-in-law, Kent Maye and his family of Seminole; three brothers, Val and his wife Joyce Luce of Eufaula, Jerry and his wife Cynthia Luce of Checotah and Earnie and his wife Annie Luce of Checotah; eight grandchildren, Rachelle Lovett, Destiny Craft, Jacob Hicks-Dalton, Hannah Self, Emily Self, Lindsay Freeman and Zachary Dennis; five great-grandchildren, Mikinzee Nielson, Chloe Lane, Isaiah Freeman, Serinity Dennis, Tayton Dennis; and a host of other family and dear friends.
Benny was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Faye Houston; one niece Shelly Houston and his father-in-law, Devoe Maye.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 28, 2012 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole. Internment will follow at Little Cemetery. Rev. Jeff Nance will officiate the service.
Casket bearers will be Jason Blalock, Marcus Freeman, Zachary Dennis, Randy Self, Jeremy Dennis and James Renfro.
Honorary bearers will be Wendell Houston, Keith Houston, Jerry Luce, Scott Luce, Brian Luce and Eric Cross.
