Branden Matthew (Bubbles) White, age 20, of Choctaw died at his home on Sunday, Aug. 26, 2012.
He was born Oct. 12, 1991, in Oklahoma City to Carl White and Jeri Cramer.
He attended Carl Albert School in Midwest City and attended two years at the Southwestern University in Altus on a full bull riding scholarship.
He worked in plumbing with his father.
Branden was a member of the Professional Bull Riding Association.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jerry Rex Fowler; uncle, Dennis Fowler; great-grandparents, Gordon and Ila White, Harvey and Exie Montgomery, and Thomas and Rachel Fowler.
He is survived by his parents, Carl White and Jeri Cramer; siblings, Courtney White and Shea Cramer; grandparents, Carl and Carolyn White; uncles, Kevin White, Buck Hindman and Scott Martin; aunts, Kimako Martin, Donna Hinkle, Diane Myers, Amy Hindman and Wendy White.
Pallbearers are Cody White, Dalton White, Kaleb Snyder, Micah Trammel, Kallyn Longnecker and Will Anderson.
Honorary Pallbearers are Cade White and Kevin White.
Visitation will begin 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2012, and continue until time of service, with the family gathering to meet with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012, at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
Jerry White
Jerry Don White, 45, former longtime Seminole resident, died Thursday, June 14, 2012 at his home in The Colony, Texas, near Dallas.
Jerry was born Nov. 29, 1966 in Wetumka to Donald Gene and Ann Jacqulyn (Hill) White.
Jerry moved to Seminole while in the second grade and attended Seminole Public Schools and graduated from Seminole High School in 1985.
He later graduated from Seminole State College with an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice.
He then attended and graduated from East Central University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science.
Jerry proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1986 to 1991 as a Sargent and served in "Desert Storm."
Jerry joined the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol as a Border Protection Agent.
Jerry was currently stationed at the Dallas, Texas branch office.
Jerry was a loving son and brother.
He loved history and loved to travel to look at Civil War sites in the South.
He loved reading about all the history of our country which he started at a young age.
He had a passion for music and played in a cover band in the Dallas area and recorded several songs.
Jerry was a Sci-Fi Fan and was an avid reader of a variety of subjects.
His mother, Ann Poplin of San Jose, California; his brother, Terry White of Owasso; his maternal grandmother, Ophelia Hooper of Wetumka survives Jerry.
His aunts and uncles, Travis and Suzanne Qualls of Wewoka, Mary Keltch of Oklahoma City, Denney and Wendy Hooper of Texas, Terri Lynn Hooper of Norman and Dan and Maureen White of Canyon, Texas, also survive him.
His cousins Landon and Kristen Qualls of Oklahoma City, Lisa, Greg and David White and families from Texas and Heather Gaboury of Bentonville, Arkansas also survive Jerry.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Gene White; paternal grandparents, George and Thelma White and maternal grandfather, Jack Hill.
Funeral services with full Military and U.S. Customs honors will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole with burial at the Wetumka City Cemetery in Wetumka.
Rev. Claude Butler from First Baptist Church in Wetumka will officiate at the service.
Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
Margaret White
Margaret Ann (Moreland) White, 59 year-old, Seminole County resident passed from this life on Friday, Nov. 30, 2012 at her home.
She was born Sept. 6, 1953 to parents Bill Moreland and Elsie Mae (Jackson) Moreland.
Margaret attended Shawnee Schools and on March 21, 1969 she married Freddie Joe White in Chandler.
The couple moved to Seminole County 37 years ago from Shawnee.
Margaret was a homemaker and a construction worker.
She was also a member of the Free Indeed Ministries in Shawnee.
Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Freddie Joe White of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ulysses Jodean "Jody" White and his wife Janelle of Bethel and Marcus "Shawn" White and his wife Anne of Earlsboro; one daughter, Kimberly Dawn "Kim" Oswald of Shawnee; one sister and brother-in-law, Bernice Elizabeth "Liz" Young and her husband Tracy of Shawnee; nine grandchildren, Jaylee White, Adrianna White, Lindsay Keene, Lauren Keene, Landon Rodriguez, Derek White-Edwards, Lexi White, Ashley Oswald and Darren Oswald; three great-grandchildren, Hunter Berry, Kori Cahoon and Bentley Lane; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and dear friends.
Margaret was preceded in death by her father, Bill Moreland; her mother, Elsie Mae (Jackson) Moreland-Kirkendall; one sister, Linda Harris; three brothers, Billy Moreland, Larry Moreland and Lloyd Moreland; and by one great-grandchild, Righteous Oswald.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole with Pastor Guy Cagle officiating the service.
Interment will follow at Little Cemetery north of Seminole.
Casket bearers will be Barry Estell, Darren Oswald, Tim Sullivan, Michael Young, Michael Kruegar and Tim Kruegar.
Honorary casket bearers will be Derek White-Edwards, Jesse Lovette and Landon Rodriguez.
Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
Ruth White
Ruth White was born Ruth Mae Jones Nov. 19, 1926 in Krebs, Oklahoma.
She graduated from Krebs High School and also received her initial nurses training at Albert Pike Hospital in McAlester while attending high school.
She later received her LPN cap in 1953 and worked in area hospitals and nursing homes most of her adult life.
Ruth owned and operated an Upholstery Shop for years, was a great seamstress and quilt maker.
Ruth married Buddie Floyd White Dec. 26, 1945 who preceded her in death in 1996.
They were married almost 51 years and had four children: Floyd Joe White and Karen Sue White who has also passed.
She is survived by Linda Maloy of Oklahoma and Tonna Kizior of Colorado. There are seven grandchildren: Christi Coxsey, Zac Maloy, Tava Sofsky, Melissa Kizior, Rebecca Wedekemper, Sandy Nalley and Heather Pierson; and eleven great grandchildren: Paisley and Ethan Coxsey, Karmen Nalley, Seciley Simmons, Ben and Jude Maloy, Madison and Merrin and Hayden Sofsky, and the newest seven week old twins Everett and Eden Wedekemper.
Ruth often dreamed of working as a nurse in WWII and Viet Nam; she tried numerous times to go overseas during WWII but she was too young.
She loved her country; had an amazing work ethic; and as a LPN always wanted to be on the floor with her patients versus in the office doing paperwork.
Grave side services will be held at Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka on Thursday, Oct. 18th at 2:00 p.m.
There will also be a viewing at Stout-Phillips Funeral Home an hour prior to the Grave side service.
Agatha Whitten-Blair
Agatha Whitten-Blair, 85 year-old, former Seminole resident died Monday, Oct. 1, 2012 at Cedar Creek Nursing Home in Norman.
She was born Dec. 15, 1926 in Foster, Oklahoma to parents Arthur Pickett and Stella (McConnell) Pickett.
Following High School, Agatha worked in retail shoe sales.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph G. Blair of the home; three sons, Craig Whitten of Norman, Reggie Whitten of Edmond and Kevin Whitten of Kansas City, Kansas; two sisters, Armintha Blackwood of Pauls Valley and Marcella Ratcliffe of Castro Valley, California; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents and by her first husband, Robert L. Whitten.
Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, Oct. 8, 2012 at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Seminole with Rev. Mark Hensley officiating.
Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
Bob Williams
Memorial services will be held today, Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012 for Bob Williams at the First Baptist Church of Wetumka at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Claude Butler will be officiating.
Mr. Williams was born on April 22, 1936 in Hanna, Okla. to Jeff and Bessie Williams.
He passed away at the age of 76 on Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012.
Bob served in the United States Marine Corp. from 1954 to 1956.
He was then employed in the tire service industry before opening Williams Feed Store with his wife, Connie.
After retirement, he spent several years working at the City of Wetumka water plant.
Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Betty Cox; a brother, Jerry Williams; an infant daughter, Peggy Jean; and a son, Bobby Williams.
Survivors include his wife, Connie K. (Axman) Williams of the home; three sons and daughter-in-laws and one daughter, Ricky and Kim Williams, and Sherry Rutledge all of Fresno, Calif., Tim and Christine Williams of Taft, Calif., and Eddie and Lori Williams of Wetumka.
Other survivors include ten grandchildren, Gina, Jacob, Jennifer, Richelle, Timothy, Michelle, Dustin, Dylan, Derek and Chase, along with seven great-grandchildren, as well as, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Arrangements are under the direction of Williamson-Spradlin Funeral Home of Wetumka.
Emmit Williams
Emmit James Williams, 75, longtime Seminole resident died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012 in Midwest City.
He was born Nov. 21, 1936 in Lima to Hubbard and Lula Bell (Mills) Williams.
He worked at Padgett Chevrolet for over 35 years and Goff Industries for 12 years before retiring.
He married Beatrice Jones on Oct. 10, 1957 in Seminole.
He is survived by his wife, Beatrice Williams, of Seminole; two sisters, Lolita O’Guinn of Wewoka and Thelma Reese of Seminole.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Norma Jean Williams, Alice Buckner, Geraldine Smith and Wilhelma Newton.
Funeral services are planned for 11:00 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Westwood Cemetery in Wewoka. Pastor Larry Payne will officiate at the services.
Casket bearers will be Chauncey Cravens, Reginald Knighton, Sr., Alonzo Newton, Gilbert Reese, Troy Newton, Mark Reese and Kelvin Reese.
Honorary Bearers will be Anthony Louie, Bryton Cravens, Shey Knighton, Jayce Cravens, Damon Cravens, Dake Reese, Jake Reese, Eddie Louie Jr., and Alvin Fabre, Jr.
