IRVING, Texas — Services for Verda Lucile Morgan, 91, Irving, formerly of Ada, Okla., are 10 a.m. Saturday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Ada, the Revs. Kenneth Elkins and Joe Dixon officiating. Burial follows at Rosedale Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Morgan died May 19, 2004, at her home. She was born July 21, 1912, at Allen, Okla., to Nell and Minnie Earnest Johnson. She attended Lawrence Grade School, Horace Mann, graduated from Fitzhugh High School and East Central College. She was a homemaker and a member of Oak Avenue Baptist Church.
She and Clyde Claxton Morgan were married Sept. 21, 1937, at Lawrence, Okla. He died Jan. 9, 1994, at Ada.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Morgan was preceded in death by a daughter, Beverly Nell Morgan Hart.
Survivors include a sister, Verniece Lucas, Tulsa; three grandchildren, Cynthia S. Hart Callentine, John D. Hart and Sharon K. Hart Felty; eight great-grandchildren, Chris Adams, Ricky and Mathew Callentine, Jamie, Mary and Elizabeth Hart, David and Brent Felty; and a son-in-law, Jim Hart.
Bearers are Farrell Rhoads, Phillip Briggs, Jay Dee Thys, Jack Stark, Michael Whitson and Dwight Hart.

ADA — Graveside services for Mattie Beth Henry, 84, Ada, are 11 a.m. Saturday at Memorial Park Cemetery, Floyd Kaiser officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. today at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Henry died May 20, 2004, at her home. She was born April 22, 1920, at Waldron, Ark., to Ralph and Lucille Beasly Fuller. She came to this area in the 1930s from Tulsa where she attended grade school. She graduated from Ada High School in 1938.
She and Julian “Big” Henry were married Aug. 14, 1940.
Mrs. Henry owned and operated Beth’s Baby Land Store from 1969 until 1982. She was a longtime member of Southwest Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by a son, Dane Henry, July 27, 2001.
Survivors include her husband, Julian “Big” Henry, of the home; two granddaughters, Lisa Nicole Henry and Jennifer L. Weise, both of Lake Jackson, Texas; a sister, Lorene Fuller, Ada; a daughter-in-law, Debbee Henry, Lake Jackson; and several nieces and nephews.
Honorary bearers are Pat Mitchell, Dale Snow, Don Butler and Burl Webb.

Mrs. Young died May 16, 2004, at her home. She was born Oct.10, 1942, at Altus to Tillman and Mary Chapman Roberts. She was a graduate of Martha High School and came to this area in 1972 from Altus
She and Elmer Lee Young were married Dec. 31, 1972 , at Pontotoc.
Mrs. Young was a member of Central Church of Christ and the Ada Hobo’s Club, and for the past four years had served as secretary for Healthcare Innovations.
Survivors include her husband, Lee Young, of the home; three daughters, Cindy Glover and husband Terry, Pam Williamson and husband Steve, all of Ada and Christie Birchfield and husband Dale, Antlers; a son, Michael Young and wife Mandy, Cheyenne, Wyo.; a brother, Bobby Roberts and wife Sharon, El Reno; an aunt, Vera Mae Chapman, Tulsa; six grandchildren, Tiffany Schons, Jason Christian and Beau Christian, April Williamson and Autumn Williamson and Carleigh Crowley; and a great-grandson, Camren Christian.
Bearers are Ernie Sheppard, Tom Jackson, Ben Walker, Ron Milner, Chris Feiler and Dr. Jerry Morgan.

DENTON, Texas — Services for Winnie Pearl Lowther Dudley, 81, Denton, formerly of Ada are 2 p.m. Tuesday at Criswell Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Asher.
Mrs. Dudley died Saturday, May 15, 2004 at a care center in Denton, Texas. She was born Aug. 3, 1922 in Asher to William and Elise Wood Lowther.
She married John Delbert Dudley on Oct. 27, 1939. He died Nov. 24, 1998.
Mrs. Dudley was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Wheeler, Texas, where she spent many years teaching children’s Sunday school. She also was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels.
Survivors include one son, William Dudley, Golden, Colo.; one daughter, Rose Mary Trevino, Denton, Texas; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, John D. Dudley, Jr.

STONEWALL — Graveside services for Elma Lee Nix, 88, Pleasant Hill, East Jesse, Stonewall area, are 3 p.m. today at Swan Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Nix died Saturday, May 15, 2004, at a Durant nursing home. She was born March 2, 1916, at Pleasant Hill community, south of Stonewall to Jesse Frank and Lillie Alice Hough King. She lived all her life in this area, and graduated from Stonewall High School. She graduated from East Central University with a master’s degree in elementary education and home cconomics. She taught school in Eureka, and Pleasant Hill. She was later employed with the Department of Human Services in Coal County for 20 years.
She married James Melvin Nix on Dec. 24, 1939. He preceded her in death on May 2, 1998. She was a member of the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church and the Stonewall Methodist Church. Mrs. Nix was a member of the Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include two daughters, Janet Anderson, Stonewall and Jo Ann Nix, Littleton, Colo.; six grandchildren, Jeff Lee, Shelley Duncan, Jennifer Lee, Carrie Lee, Mandy Anderson and Charle Sutton; and three great grandchildren, Rhyle Sutton, Zoe Duncan and Anderson Duncan.
