Shirley Ester Trimarchi, of Midwest City, died Monday, May 4, 2009. She was born Feb 4, 1941, in Lima.
She is survived by her daughters, Tammy Lynn Carrel, of Rockwall, Texas and Regina Dawn Tindell, of Oklahoma City; 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brothers, Clifford Grisham, of Lima and Kenneth Grisham, of Oklahoma City; and sister, Mary Hunter, of Syracuse, N.Y.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Trimarchi.
Services were held Friday, May 8, at 2 p.m., at the Cornerstone Church, 9900 SE 15th Street, in Midwest City.
Mildred Trobaugh
Services for Mildred Jean Carrigan Trobaugh, 64, Ada, are 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Faith Assembly of God Church, Rev. Greg Pollard will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mrs. Trobaugh died Monday, April 20, 2009 at her home. She was born February 25, 1945 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Odis Jean and Mildred Viola Welliver Carrigan. She attended Prarie Valley School and graduated from Byng School of Nursing, in August 1981.
She married Nelson Kaye Trobaugh April 3, 1964 in Ada, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death August 4, 2007, in Ada. Mrs. Trobaugh was an aide at Valley View Regional Hospital and later was a Licensed Practical Nurse at Ballard Nursing Center, Stonegate Nursing Center, in Stonewall and Halo Hospice, in Ada. She moved to Ada in 1963 from Seminole. She was a member of Faith Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Jeannie Ruston and husband Tony, Ada; grandchildren, Ryan Hudson, Ocean Springs, Mississippi, Damian, Nia and Lee Ruston, of Ada; one sister, Lynett Jones, and husband Roy, Ada; a brother, Wendell Carrigan, Okemah; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a sister, Delois June Carrigan.
Bearers will be Michael Jones, Dwayne Jones, Neal Ron Trobaugh, Noel Don Trobaugh, Damian Ruston and Lee Ruston.
The family says those who wish may make memorials to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation for Cancer Research, 825 NE 13th, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73104-5097.
Services are under the direction of Criswell Funeral Home, Ada.
Paul Troglin
Services for Seminole County resident Paul Edward Troglin are scheduled for 10 a.m., Jan. 3, 2009, at Immanuel Fellowship Church, 3103 Hwy. 3 N., in Seminole. Services are under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home. Pastor Tim Tate and Mitchell Hennen will officiate the service.
Paul went to be with his Savior on Dec. 29, 2008, after suffering congestive heart failure. Paul was born in Seminole County on Dec. 15, 1932. He was the first of seven children born to Harry and Delora Troglin.
He attended Taylor School, Bowlegs School, and school in Burton, Kan., and graduated from Nelogany High School, in Nelogany, in 1953. Paul served in the U.S. Army with the 36th Field Artillery Battalion from 1955 to 1957. Later he graduated from Oklahoma State Tech, in Okmulgee.
Paul worked in oilfield well servicing, a machine shop in Tulsa, and retired in 1992 from the City of Seminole after spending 22 years working at the golf course and the waste water treatment plant. After retirement he took up oilfield bit tipping for a while and spent many years cutting and baling hay.
Paul married Patricia Crews on Oct. 18, 1956. To this union were born three daughters: Debra, Delana, and Paula June, who died in infancy. Paul also had one special nephew, Evan Pierce, who was a son to him and a brother to his daughters.
Paul was a dedicated family man who loved his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren dearly.
Paul was preceded in death by his brother Levi Troglin who died as a child, his infant daughter Paula June Troglin, in 1963; also his mother Delora (Foreman) Troglin, in 1986 and his father Harry Troglin, in 2000.
He is survived by his wife, of more than 52 years, Patricia (Crews) Troglin, of the home; two daughters and their husbands, Debra and Bob Pullen, of Wetumka and Delana and Don Carter, of Stevensville, Mo.; siblings, Pauline Crews, of Oklahoma City, Charles Troglin and wife Fran, of Wewoka, Sonja Batesel and Harris Troglin and wife Gloria, of Bowlegs, Ruby and husband John Meek, of Seminole; four special grandchildren survive him, Lani Kramer and husband Shawn and Michael Carter and wife Jill, all of Stevensville, Mo., April Pryor and husband Rath, of Lamar, and Aaron Young, of Wetumka; two step-grandchildren, Michael Pullen, of Norman and Tracy Pullen, of Wetumka; ten great-grandchildren also survive him.
Casket bearers that Paul chose are Bill Davis, Robert Donaldson, Chris Haney, Brian Bristow, John Bristow, and Eli Troglin.
Jade Trussell
Jade Elaina Kay Trussell, 2 year-old, Seminole resident went to be with the Lord Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at her home in Seminole, Oklahoma. She and her twin sister were born March 7, 2007 at Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to parents Nickloas Shipley "Nick" Trussell and Jeri Kay (Tollison) Trussell.
Jade is survived by her parents Nickloas Shipley "Nick" Trussell and Jeri Kay Trussell of the home; her twin sister, Jodie Stephanie Faye Trussell of the home; one brother, Nickloas Shipley Trussell, Jr. of the home; maternal grandparents, Jerry and Rossett Tollison Tollison of Seminole, Oklahoma; paternal grandparents, Ernest and Stephanie Trussell of Bakersfield, California; uncle, John Tollison of Seminole, Oklahoma; Aunt Tabbitha Trussell of Bakersfield, California; great-aunt and uncle, Janet and Bill Spurrier of Mustang, Oklahoma; and a host of other cousins, aunts, uncles and other family in Oklahoma and California.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 3 p.m., Friday, October 30, 2009 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma.

Laney Turner
Funeral services for Okemah native Laney Pearl Turner are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, September 12, 2009 at the Baggerley Funeral Home in Edmond.
Interment will follow at Little Cemetery, north of Seminole, under the direction of Baggerley Funeral Home.
Turner died Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at the Bellevue Health Center in Oklahoma City.
She was born on December 19, 1929 in Okemah to Floyd Mike and Mandy Lee (Estep) Hyatt.
Turner was married to her husband, Fred, for 58 years, and was a homemaker.
She was employed for many years at Central State College and baby sat in her home.
Turner was a member of the Edmond Pentecostal Holiness Church for many years, and enjoyed cooking, gardening, working in her yard, going to garage sales, and spending time with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Turner; parents; one infant brother; brother James Hyatt and Troy Hyatt; and sisters Dolores Hyatt, Marie Barber Setzer.
Turner is survived by her children, Linda Ann Riddle, Edmond; Frederick Lloyd Turner, Jr., Orlando; brothers Glen Hyatt of Perry, and Carl Hyatt of Perry; sisters Pauline Burdick of Edmond; Evelyn Thornbrue of Perry, Wanda Williams of Stillwater; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Dwight Underwood
Dwight Lorin Underwood, age 74, died peacefully on April 3, 2009 in his home in Colorado Springs, Colorado, surrounded by his wife and family. Dwight had been fighting cancer since December 2008.
The Lord took him home and he is resting peacefully, free of pain. Dwight was born November 3, 1934 to Dwight and Josephine Underwood, in Beatrice, Nebraska. Dwight graduated Leuzinger High School in Inglewood, California. in 1952.
He proudly served with the Green Berets in the United States Army 82nd Airborne Paratroopers from March of 1953 until March of 1956. He obtained his pilot’s license for single engine planes in 1967, a favorite hobby of his for years to follow.
Dwight met the love of his life at Engineered Electronics in Santa Ana, California where they both worked. He married Anna Mae Rains on December 19, 1963, in Costa Mesa, California. They recently celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary in Kansas on their way to visit family in Oklahoma for the holidays.
Dwight and Ann started their family in Fountain Valley, California with the birth of their 3 daughters, Kelly Lynn, Tracy Lee, and Brandy Lynn. The family moved to Prague, Oklahoma in 1971 where they purchased a home in the country.
In 1973, Dwight and Ann were blessed with the birth of their son, Robert Allen. The family lived and operated this farm for years providing a lifetime of happy memories to cherish. Dwight has been a business owner, inventory and purchasing manager, and most recently was building contract manager at Peterson Air Force Base, in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Dwight had a passion for history, skiing, flying, sightseeing, swimming, horseback riding, golfing, OU and Dallas Cowboys football games, playing poker with friends, and trips to Cripple Creek with his wife.
Dwight was also a very gifted craftsman and in recent years began a business with his son, Bobby, crafting beautiful aspen wood picture frames, tables, log beds, china hutches, banisters, and multiple other custom wood pieces.
Dwight is survived by his loving wife, Ann Underwood; his daughter, Kelly Robison, her children Brittany and Joshua, and daughter-in-law Jessica, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; his daughter, Tracy Shepherd, son-in-law Steve and their three sons Dustin, Dillon and Dalton, of Seminole, Okla.; his daughter, Brandy Underwood and her son Tyler, of Colorado Springs, Colo. and his son Bobby, daughter-in-law Sheri, and their children Rylan, Zachary, and Kenzie, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; his sister, Leslie Odevseff and her two daughters Carol and Barbara, of Wichita, Kan.; his brother-in-law John Rains and sister-in-law Barbara, of Prague, Okla., their children Myra, Johnny, and Scott; his sister-in-law, Betty Jensen, her husband Eddie, and their 3 children Shaun, Shannon, and Sherri, all of Prague, Okla.; his sister-in-law Ruby Barnes, her husband Derral and their children Gayle, Paul and Wayne, of California; and his brother-in-law Bill Rains; and his family pets Boomer and Sasha.
Dwight is preceded in death by his parents Dwight and Josephine Underwood, his brother-in-law Alec Odevseff, his father-in-law Clarence Rains and his mother-in-law Ollie Mae Rains.
The family will hold a memorial service on April 10, 2009 at First United Methodist Church, located at 420 N. Nevada Avenue, in Colorado Springs, Colo.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Springs Rescue Mission in Dwight’s name. Our family would like to thank friends and family who have provided meals, flowers, cards, phone calls, prayers, time helping, visiting and offering support throughout the past few months.
Dwight was a wonderful husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, and friend. He was compassionate, kind, hard working, honest, courageous, and loyal. John 15:13 reads "greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends."
Dwight provided a wonderful life for his family, always putting the needs of others ahead of his own. His family will miss him dearly, but will treasure their memories and know he is at peace and home with God.
Victor Underwood
Seminole resident Victor Lee Underwood, age 61, Seminole died Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009, at the Veteran’s Hospital, in Oklahoma. He was born June 16, 1948, to Nagie (Harjo) Underwood and Tecumseh Underwood, Sr.
He graduated from Strother High School in 1966 and went on to serve in the United States Marine Corp. He later received his associates’ degree in accounting from Seminole State College. He worked for the Strother School System.
He was active in the Seminole Nation where he served in several capacities including the general council. He was also an active member of the Seminole Nation Honor Guard. He was a member of Friends Freewill Baptist Church, in Cromwell.
He is survived by his sons, Brandon Underwood, of Seminole, Brian Underwood, of Ohio, Beau, Blake, Kevin, Lance, and Clayton Underwood, all of Seminole; brothers, Tecumseh "Tip" Underwood, Jr., of Maud, and Ted Underwood, of Seminole; sisters, Donna Gayton, Pam Underwood, and Rhonda Underwood, all of Ada, and Joe Kay Berryman, of Shawnee; and 12 grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Willie Bond Underwood and Matthew Underwood; and by daughter, Victoria Underwood.
Wake services are scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009, at 6 p.m., at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel. Then he will be taken to Strothers Gym at 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20, 2009 where there will be a wake service held Friday evening at 6 p.m.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009, at Strother High School Gym. Interment will follow at Underwood Family Cemetery 5 1/4 miles East of Little on Hwy 99A.
Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
Norma Veazey
Norma Faye (Parks) Veazey former resident of Seminole and Wewoka, age 78, died Saturday Jan. 31, 2009, surrounded by family members.
Veazey was born March 25, 1930, in Pawhuska, to Fred Parks and Josephine (Maddox) Parks. She graduated with the Class of 1948 from Pampa High School. On Oct. 15, 1950 she married Edward Joe Veazey, in Pampa, Texas.
She was a life long member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority; member of the Orchid Unit Garden Club, in Wewoka; and a volunteer for Oklahoma Adult Literacy organization.
She is survived by her son, Joe Veazey, of Houston, Texas; two daughters, Susan Rose, of Tulsa and Katy Cook, of Mounds; brother, Lee Parks, of Midland, Texas; three sisters, Betty King, of Pampa, Texas, Martha Sutton, of Atlanta, Ga., and Clarice Hough, of Bartlesville; eleven grandchildren; and one great child.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Josephine Parks and husband, Edward Joe Veazey, who died Nov. 28, 2007.
Graveside services were scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2009 at Oakwood Cemetery, in Mounds. Mr. Keenan Meadors officiated.
Services were under the direction of Schaudt’s Glenpool Funeral Service & Cremation Care.
David Vivier
David Lee Vivier, age 73, of Ada, Oklahoma, died Friday, Jan. 9, 2009, in Valley View Hospital, in Ada.
Graveside services are scheduled for 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2009, at Hutche–Chuppa Cemetery, in Weleetka, under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, in Konawa. Ed George will officiate.
He was born June 12, 1935, in Rosebud, S.D. to Paul Vivier and Phoebe (Killsenemyincoolwater) Vivier. He later married Joyce Ann Harjo. He was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church, of Konawa, and served in the air force, and he worked as a roughneck for the oilfield industry.
He is survived by two sons, Anthony Lee Vivier, of Lawton and Sonny Paul Vivier, of Calvin; three brothers, Eugene Vivier, of Des Moines, Iowa, Miquel Bordeux, of Anchorage, Alaska, and Tony Escutia, of San Antonio, Texas; four sisters, Bonnie Boltz, of Saint Francis, S. D., Becky Dillon, of Muscatiane, Iowa; nine grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Vivier, in May 2002, and by his parents, Paul and Phoebe Vivier.
Pallbearers are Josh Goodenkauf, Dalton Vivier, Riley Vivier, James George, Todd Jesse, and Glen Gibson. Honorary Pallbearers are Wayne Gray, and Cody Allen.
Jack Vogle
Jack Dennis Vogle, 72, of McAlester, died Sunday, Sept. 13, 2009, at his home.
He was born Oct. 9, 1936, in Carter Nine, he was the son of Everett William and Agnes Margaret (Chambers) Vogle. He graduated from New Lima High School in 1954.
He served in the U.S. Navy Special Forces aboard the USS Yorktown in the Pacific Ocean, during the Korean War.
For the next 30 years he worked in the oil fields of the world. He worked in almost every state, offshore and three foreign countries and was in the drilling business as Vogle Drilling Company for the latter 15 years of his career.
He returned to McAlester in 1987 and married Fredonia Robinson, in 1989, in Eureka Springs, Ark. He then worked for TCI Cablevision and produced many television commercials for local business, documentaries and community productions before retiring in 1998. He was the recipient of many media awards and accolades. He operated his own television production company producing television commercials.
He was a member of numerous clubs and organizations including the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, Sertoma International, American Film Makers Institute, McAlester Community Theater, Audubon Society, National Associate Member of the Smithsonian Institution, WebWhispers Nu-Voice Club, and the International Association of Laryngectomees.
He served as co-chair for the Pittsburgh County Health Department’s Southeast Tobacco-Free Oklahoma Coalition and other community boards. He won numerous awards for community service and professional video productions, including the Governor’s Conservation Award in 1990, American Cancer Society "Volunteer of the Year" in 2003 and May 31, 2004 was proclaimed Jack Vogle Day in McAlester for his work to prevent youth from using tobacco.
Survivors include his wife, Fredonia, of the home; sons, Joe Don Vogle, Jeffrey David Vogle; daughter, Lisa Michelle Vogle Courtney; and stepdaughter, Katheryn Jean Smith Lightle.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Helen Victoria Perry; his parents, and brother, Sgt. Maj. (Ret.) Everett W. "Bill" Vogele Jr.
Pallbearers were: Glen Jones, Roger Kelley, Junior Kelley, John Goodyear, John McNally and Rick Fender.
Honorary pallbearers were Mike Echelle, Clyde Petete and David Hill.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Thursday at Chaney’s Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Paul Snow officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in McAlester. The United States Navy will provide military honors. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Chaney-Harkins Funeral Home of McAlester.
