Seminole resident Jane Webb, age 78, died Sunday, Sept. 6, 2009, at Unity North Health Center, in Shawnee. She was born Dec. 17, 1930, in Okmulgee, to Robert Charles Kairschner and Virginia Gertrude (Patterson) Kairschner.
She worked as a Teacher’s aid in the New Lima School District and then as a Librarian at the Varnum School District. She was also a longtime member of the Trinity Baptist Church, in Seminole.
She is survived by her son, Mike Webb, of Ada; daughter, Ann Webb, of Tulsa; brother, Patrick Kairschner, of San Jose, Calif.; sister, Shirley Kairshner, of San Jose, Calif.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edd Napoleon "Nap" Webb; son, Robert Eddie Webb; and daughter, Barbara Webb.
Graveside services are scheduled for 1 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2009, at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens, in Seminole. Rev. Ron Duvall will officiate the service.
Honorary Casket Bearers will be: Ken Jackson, Dewey Lee, Jirl McGinnis, Jim Parsons, Bill Parsons and Terry Nix.
Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
The casket will be open at the funeral home prior to graveside services and will not be open at the graveside.
Ron Webb, Sr.
Ron Webb, Sr. was born November 24, 1941 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Lucian Grant and Mabel Effie (Hays) Webb, and passed away April 23, 2009 in Tecumseh, Oklahoma at the age of 67 years.
He graduated from Ada High School in 1959, and from East Central University in 1963. While in college he met Neomia Dee Bearden. They were married May 24, 1963 in Ada. Ron taught school and coached for 40 years, 7 of those years in Seminole, and 26 years in Tecumseh.
He was a member of the Broadway United Methodist Church, Ada High School Alumni Association, and the Oklahoma Athletic Coaches Association.
His family was the focal point of his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Ronnie; and a niece, Paula Bearden.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Dee Webb, of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Lee and Lisa Webb, of Oklahoma City; granddaughter, Abigail Webb and grandson: Andrew Webb, both of Oklahoma City; brother-in-law and his wife, Sid and Dora Bearden, of Edmond; and 2 nephews, as well as many friends and colleagues.
The family has designated Broadway United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society as appropriate for memorials.
The family will be at the funeral home on Sunday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. to meet and visit with friends.
Services will be 10 a.m. Monday, April 27, 2009 at Cooper Funeral Chapel with Rev. Tracy Schumpert, Rev. Keith King, and Rev. Justin McFeeters officiating.
Burial for Ronnie Webb, Jr. and Ron Webb, Sr. will be 2 p.m. at Maple Grove Cemetery, in Seminole under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
Herbert Webster
Herbert Ardell Webster, 70, longtime Seminole resident died Monday, Dec. 7, 2009, at his home in Seminole. He was born on Nov. 13, 1939, in Tahlequah, to Alda Roger and Odie (Clinton) Webster.
He was a machinist for a metal fabrication company in Tulsa. He also served in the U.S. Army as an Sp-4 in as an Armor crewman.
He is survived by his daughter, Deanna Webster, of Shawnee; sisters, Carrie Magle, of Austin, Texas and Dolly Snyder, of California; three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Scotty Teel; sisters, Geneva, Lula and Lorene; and brothers Gene, Alvin, Roy and J.R.
Memorial services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Monday, Dec. 14, 2009, at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel.
Zelma Wesley
Funeral services for Zelma Elizabeth Wesley will be held Saturday, August 8, 2009 at 2 p.m. at the Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Okemah.
Interment will follow at the Sand Creek Cemetery.
Wesley was born August 10, 1911 in McGlouth, Kansas to Arthur Conner and Rosa E. (Farmer) Conner.
She died Wednesday, August 5, 2009 in Okemah at the age of 97.
Wesley had been a resident of the Okemah/Cromwell area most all of her life.
She and Walter Clay Wesley were married May 28, 1927 in Okmulgee; he preceded her in death February 1, 1985.
Wesley was a homemaker and a longtime member of the Cromwell Church of Christ.
She was also a painter and past member of the Home Demonstration Club.
She was a seamstress and enjoyed cooking and attending children’s, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren’s sporting events.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four brothers, two sisters, and one son.
Survivors include her two sons, Nelson Wesley of Havana, Kansas and Raymond Wesley of Cromwell; two daughters, Wanda McGee of Monnett, Missouri and Leona Simmons of Moore; 15 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
Services under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Okemah and officiated by Marvin and Danny Wesley.
Agnes West
Agnes (Douglas) West, age 89, and long-time resident of Konawa, died Wednesday, June 10, 2009, at Holdenville General Hospital, in Holdenville.
She was born Jan. 10, 1920, in Konawa, to Alex and Jennie (Powell) Douglas. She married Thomas West on July 1, 1937. She was a member of the Cedar Creek Eufaula Baptist Church.
Graveside services are scheduled for 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 13, at the Douglas Family Cemetery located at 13866 Hwy 9A (three miles north of Konawa) under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, in Konawa. Ed George and George Harjochee will officiate.
Pallbearers are Jeremy Walker, Stacy McGrit, Patrick McGrit, Vincent Wise, Walter Wise, Jr., and Jacob Cully.
She is survived by her son, Terry West; brother, A.B. Douglas, of Sasakwa; three grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alex and Jennie Douglas; husband, Thomas West; daughter, Lucilla McGrit; five brothers and eight sisters.
Nekita Westbrook
Nekita Gayshaw Westbrook was born on July 2, 1960, in Seminole, to Eddie Ray Ramson and Mary Louise (Bruner) Hardiman.
She passed from this life at the age of 48, on Feb. 13, 2009. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church.
She went to Seminole Public Schools and graduated in 1978. She worked at the Heritage House, the Methodist Daycare, and Judge Frank Seay, Sr., she also volunteered with many people young and old. She had a love for children.
She had a wonderful and loving character and a kind heart that inspired anyone she came in contact with. She enjoyed music, dancing, traveling, church activities, gospel music and anything to do with her family.
She leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Mary L. Hardiman; four sisters, Sheila Bruner, Michelle Hooks, Kim Bruner, and Kelia R. Hardiman all of Oklahoma City; three brothers, Gerald Burner and Tony Bruner of Oklahoma City, and William Shaw, of Wewoka; three aunts, Doris Hubbard and Eva Cooper, of Seminole and JoAnn (Robert) Harris, of Oklahoma City; two uncles, J.C. Simpson, Jr. and James C. Simpson, of Seminole.
She is preceded in death by her Godparents, Mr. and Mrs. R.A. Westbrook and brother, Ricky Westbrook.
The family would like to give a special thanks to MedCorps Plus, Crystal Wilkes, Erica Motley and Edna Mae for all the care they provided to Nekita.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20, 2009 at the Ebenezer Baptist Church with Pastor Larry Payne officiating. Interment will follow at Sowatsky Cemetery, in Seminole.

Nola Westphal
Nola Faye (Maloy) Westphal, 86 year-old, longtime Seminole County resident went to be with her Lord and Savior, Friday, August 7, 2009 at Seminole Estates Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born August 21, 1922 in Wolf, Oklahoma to parents Gradon Austin Maloy and Iva Mae (Edgeman) Maloy.
Nola married Richard O. "Dick" Westphal on September 9, 1945 in Long Beach, California. They moved to Seminole County 60 years ago and are members of the Wolf Baptist Church.
Nola was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 64 years, Richard "Dick" Westphal, of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, David and Mary Kay Westphal, of Seminole, Oklahoma; three daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Mike Palmer of Ada, Oklahoma, Paula and Tom Briggs of Chouteau, Oklahoma, Patricia and Mike Griffin of Wolf, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren, Scott and his wife Roma Jackson, Cherie and her husband Chris Hobbs, Angela and her husband Roger Mabon, Tavis and his wife Jennifer Westphal, Brent and his wife Feliza Griffin, Michael Palmer, Chad and his wife Misty Kneeland, Cassidy and her husband Shane Ringels and David and his wife Lindsey Griffin; eleven great grandchildren, Kala Hobbs, Tyler Hobbs, Jacob Griffin, Camden Griffin, Grady Westphal, Grant Westphal, Ian Mabon, Andrew Mabon, Landon Ringels, Madeline Kneeland and Austin Palmer; and one great-great-grandchild, Layhauna Love.
Nola is preceded in death by her parents and by two brothers, G.A. Maloy and Jim Maloy.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole. Ray Wade will officiate the service and interment will follow at Cummings Cemetery in Maud, Oklahoma.
Casket Bearers will be: James Scott Jackson, Tavis Lynn Westphal, M. Brent Griffin, Michael Dewayne Palmer, Chad Kent Kneeland and David Lee Griffin.

Norma Wildcat
Norma June Wildcat, age 77, died Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009, in Midwest City.
Norma was born on June 19, 1932 in Seminole, to Wesley and Susie (Ross) Tanyan. She was of the Cheyarha Band and the Sweet Potato Clan. She was also a member of the Tallahassee Indian Presbyterian Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Bennie Wildcat; parents; sister, Ella Mae Tiger; and brother, Ben Tanyan.
She is survived by her sons; Justin Jay Wildcat and Wilburn "Chuck" Wildcat, both of Seminole; daughters, Judy Culberson, of Wewoka, Sondra Akkasiriskul, of Bankok, Thailand, Phyllis Bel Fellah, of Springfield, Ill., and Mable Marshall, of Seminole; 18 grandchildren; sisters, Alline Freddie Billie, of Shawnee, and Irene Harjo, of Earlsboro; brothers, Ramsey Tanyan, of Tulsa, and Ron Tanyan, of Muskogee.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Monday, Nov. 23, 2009 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with TJ Fixico and Bill Hobia officiating. Interment will follow at the Tanyan Family Cemetery, north of Seminole.
A wake service is scheduled from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 22, 2009 at the Swearingen Funeral Chapel.
Pallbearers will be: Tyler Harjo, Dakota Harjo, Dominic Cloud, John Tanyan, Wesley Tanyan, Bruce Akkasiriskul, Casey Wildcat, James Marshall and Dion Wildcat.

Norma Wildcat
Everett Williams
Sasakwa resident Everett R. Williams, Sr., age 89, died Thursday, Dec. 24, 2009, at the Wewoka Care and Rehab Center, in Wewoka. He was born Aug. 6, 1920, in Lamar, Missouri to Ossie and Laura (Clinpeel) Williams.
He moved here five years ago from Arkansas and was a member of the Assembly of God Church, in Sasakwa. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a ranch hand in Arkansas for most of his adult life.
He is survived by his son, Raymond Williams, Jr.; daughters, Janie Robertson, of Sasakwa, Catherine Frusher, of New York, and Betty Jo Adkins, of Ohio; three grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Evey Williams.
Burial will take place later this week at the Reed Cemetery in Storey, Ark., under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, of Seminole.
