Bertha Price Boatman, Konawa, died on Saturday August 7, 2010, at the age of 95, in Ada.
She was born on May 12, 1915 in Francis to Dollie Mae Allgood and Richard David Williams. She was one of nine children.
Bertha grew up a farm girl and attended a country school near Francis. As a young girl she learned how to work in the cotton fields.
In 1932, she married Claude Price and together they raised three children. During WWII they lived in Ft. Worth and she worked in a clothing factory.
They later lived in the Tipton and Fredrick area and she worked in the restaurant business. After Claude passed away in 1968, she married Homer Boatman in 1969 and they made their home on OKC.
After Homer died in 1975 Bertha remained living in OKC until her health began to fail in 1999. At that time she moved to Lexington. In 2002, she moved to the Konawa area, where she became a member of the Konawa Church of the Nazarene. For the past four years she has lived in Ada.
Throughout her life, Bertha worked outdoors and in the garden. She quilted, crocheted and worked on crafts.
She is preceded in death by her two husbands Claude Price and Homer Boatman, one step daughter Margarette Langley, sister Vercie Wilson, six brothers, Lee, James, Earl, Virgil, Ray and Ewell Williams.
She is survived by daughter Flora Dye, OKC, sons Leon Price, Alamogordo, NM, Jim Price, Konawa, step-daughter Gloria Logan, Newalla, sister, Marie Brazell, Konawa, six grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and six great great grandchildren, and host of friends and family.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, August 12, 2010, at the Konawa Church of the Nazarene.
Interment will be at the Vamoosa Cemetery.
Arrangements are with Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell.
Richard Boren
Richard Donald Boren was born November 15, 1946 in Gracemont, OK., to the late Loyd C. and Oletha (Cargill) Boren. He died Friday, October 8, 2010, in Davis at the age of 63.
Richard and Marilyn Jones were united in marriage in Seminole on October 5, 1974.
After graduating from Maud High School, Richard became employed by the City of Seminole and worked as a police officer for 22 years.
Richard was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police Officers. He was of the Church of Christ faith.
Survivors include his wife Marilyn; one daughter, Joy Boren-Cobb of Yazoo, MS; one son, Daniel Cobb of Davis; six grandchildren; two brothers, Jim Boren of Meeker and Gary Boren of Ada.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, J.C. Boren.
In lieu of flowers, an account has been established at any Oklahoma Bank First to assist the family with medical and final expenses.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Michael Boyne
Michael Chase Boyne, 68, longtime Seminole Pioneer Nursing Home resident died Friday, Feb. 12, 2010, at Unity North Hospital, in Shawnee. He was born Feb. 8, 1942, in East Saint Louis, Ill., to Robert and Dorothy Boyne.
He moved to Seminole from California.
Private services will be held at Pioneer Nursing Home, in Seminole.
Angela Bradley
Angela Marie Bradley, age 46, died Saturday, March 6, 2010, at Mercy Hospital, in Oklahoma City. She was born Jan. 16, 1964, in Wewoka, to RD Nunn and Maxine Chesser Nunn. She was raised in Wewoka and attended Wewoka public school.
She relocated to Seminole and married William Bradley Oct. 18, 1997, and lived in Seminole until her death.
She is survived by her husband, of the home; mother, of Seminole; daughter, Melissa June William; sons, Jonathan Daniel Harrison, David Lee Harrison, and Travis Dean Bradley; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father; brother, RD Nunn Jr.; and sister, Rhonda Nunn.
Graveside services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Thursday March 11, at Little Cemetery, in Little, under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home, of Wewoka.
Pallbearers will be: Patrick Bradley, James Calvin Bradley, Howard McAlester, Floyd Brown, and Chris Williams.
Lillie Brady
Lillie Maye Brady died on August 5, 2010 at Sasakwa, OK. at the age of 93 years.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 7, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at Stout-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Martin Gustin officiating. Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.
Maye was born April 4, 1917 in Natura, OK (west of Okmulgee) to Thomas Reuben and Dicy Ellen
Rogers. She attended Bald Hill, Pharooh, and Wetumka Schools. Maye married Warnie Brady on July 21, 1939 in Shawnee, he preceded her in death September 6, 2004.
Maye is preceded in death by her parents, husband Warnie Brady of 65 years, one son Carl Melvin Brady, three brothers Floyd Melvin Rogers, Claude Rogers, and Pierce Rogers, six half-brothers; Roy Rogers, Earl Rogers, Cecil Rogers, Charlie Rogers, Plumner Rogers, and Ted Rogers.
Survivors include sons: Edward Brady of Tulsa, Bill Brady of Sasakwa; Tim Brady of Sasakwa and one daughter Claudia Barnhart of Holdenville; nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be: Eddie Brady, Jeff Brady, Roger Brady, Matthew Brady, Kevin Pensoneau, and Scott Johnson.
Honorary Bearers will be: Steven Brady, Roman Rosalez, Tony Johnson, Jarrod Porter, and Tyler Porter.
Arvie Branch
Arvie Dewayne Branch, 51, Pratt, Kansas, died on Monday, August 23, 2010 at Pratt Regional Medical Center of Pratt, Kansas.
Arvie was born February 4, 1959 to parents George and Margarett (Ross) Branch in Oklahoma City. Arvie grew up in Red Oak, Oklahoma and graduated from the Red Oak School district.
Arvie worked as a machine operator at Quality Laundry and Dry Cleaning of Pratt, Kansas. He was affiliated with the Assembly of God Church of Red Oak, Oklahoma.
Arvie is survived by four sons; Charlie Branch, Christopher Branch, Adam Branch and Derrick Branch all of Arkansas. He is also survived by five sisters; Linda Mummery of Midwest City, Judy Helsel of Pratt, Kansas, Connie Long of Arkansas, Paula Branch of Stigler, Oklahoma and Marilyn Whitfield of Seminole. Arvie is also survive by one granddaughter, and a host of other family.
Arvie was preceded in death by his parents; George and Margarett "Maggie" Branch, brother, Ronnie Branch, sisters, Margarett Eagens, Louetta Brown and MaDonna Roop.
Graveside funeral service will be held 1 p.m., Friday, August 27, 2010 at Leflore, Oklahoma with Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating.

Leonard Branson
Funeral services for Leonard Branson, 81, of Hydro, , will be held on Friday, April 16, 2010, 10 a.m. at the Church of Christ in Hydro with Landon Rowell officiating.
Burial will follow in Hydro Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home of Weatherford.
Leonard was born on July 15, 1928 in Hydro to Ben and Dixie (Phipps) Branson and passed away at home in Hydro on Tuesday, April 13, 2010.
Leonard was raised and attended school in Hydro.
In 1952, he enlisted in the United States Air Force serving in Korea.
On July 29, 1955, Leonard married Alice Maynard in Weatherford.
They moved to Hydro in 1957 where he worked on the Buckmaster Farms, Hydro Co-op, 3-M Company, Bright Farms and Entz Auction. He retired in 1991.
Leonard enjoyed wheat harvest and attending the Hydro Fair. Memorials may be made to the Hydro Fire Department.
Leonard is survived by his wife, Alice of their home; one son, James Branson of Weatherford; three daughters, Sandra Branson of Hydro, Cathy Branson of Weatherford, and Peggy Prince of Wewoka; two grandsons, three brothers, Don Branson of Hinton, Jody Branson of Weatherford, and Ben Branson of Foss; and two sisters, Shirley Williams of Tulsa, and Glenda Branson of Hydro.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Charles, Rex, and Kenneth; and two sisters, Betty and Wanda.
Amanda Marsh and Todd Streater were thought of as added grandchildren. He was accepted by Alice’s family as another brother.
Christene Breshears
Christene Florence Breshears, age 86, died Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010, at the Holdenville General Hospital.
She was born March 4, 1923, to Wade and Mollie (Gentry), in Winfield, Ark. She was brought up and attended schools in Centrahoma. She married J. L. Breshears on July 25, 1938, in Coalgate. They lived in Centrahoma, Pryor, Borger, Texas and Amherst, Texas, before moving to the Holdenville area when they retired in 1967.
She was a member of the Johnson Church of Christ, in Shawnee.
She is survived by her children, Lou Ella DeHay, of Amarillo, Texas, and James Breshears, of Mt. Juliet, Tenn.; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren; sisters, Pauline Nowlin, of Holdenville, and Maxine Melton, of Wewoka; and brothers, Ray Gentry, of Sasakwa, and Roy Gentry, of Elmore City.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Kelly Gentry and Doug Gentry; and sister, Ilene Hogue.
Funeral services were scheduled for Monday, Feb. 8, at 10 a.m. at Lillye Chapel, Fisher Funeral Home, in Holdenville, with Rev. Charles Higgins officiating. She was laid to rest in the Centrahoma Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Chris Landreth, Kevin Landreth, Davy Nowlin, Daniel Nowlin, David P. Nowlin and John Gibson.
Services were under direction of Fisher Funeral Home, of Holdenville.
William Bridgeman
"Bill" William King Bridgeman, age 86, and a long-time resident of Konawa, died Thursday, Feb. 18, 2010, at Jan Frances Care Center, in Ada.
He was born Feb. 7, 1924, in Westerly, W.V., to Otis Riley Bridgeman and Annie Jane (Bryant) Bridgeman. He married Josephine (Perry) on May 5, 1944, in San Diego, Calif. He was an auto mechanic and a carpenter, and a member of the Assembly of God Church, in Konawa.
He is survived by his wife, Josephine (Perry) Bridgeman of Jan Frances Care Center in Ada, Oklahoma; son, Riley Bridgeman, of Konawa; daughters, Mary Jo Walker, of Konawa, Jane Brewer, of Topeka, Kan., and Susan Garner, of Little Rock, Ark.; sister, Gracie Bridgeman, of Ferndale, Fla.; fourteen grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren; and great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Randolph Bridgeman; and son, Gary Curtis Bridgeman.
Graveside services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010, at Dora Cemetery, in Konawa, Rev. Steve Lowrance, Pastor of the Assembly of God Church in Konawa, will officiate.
Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, of Konawa.
Geneive Briery
Devoted wife, loving mother, doting grandmother and great grandmother, Genny Briery, passed away on February 1, 2010, in Allen, Texas at the age of 85.
She was born on May 27, 1924, in Locust Grove, Oklahoma, to Oliver Bart and Ava Cook.
Genny graduated from Seminole High School in 1942 and attended Seminole Junior College. She went to work as a secretary for Seminole Public Schools where she worked at Northwood and Roosevelt for 25 years. She was loved by and touched so many students’ lives while working at Seminole Schools. She was a longtime member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 204 and was a member of the Seminole Teacher’s Association.
She was a member of the First Christian Church, in Seminole. She helped with the American Cancer Society Fundraising activities and the American Lung Association. Genny loved yard work, lake activities, boating and fishing. She also loved being with her grandchildren.
She married Clifford Edward "C.E." Briery on January 1, 1942 in Seminole, Oklahoma, and they just celebrated their 67th year of marriage.
Genny leaves the cherished memories of her husband C.E. Briery, of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Mike Townsend, of Plano, Texas; and one sister, Helen Jones, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
She is also survived by her grandchildren; Ashley and husband Frank Slaughter of Prosper, Texas and Alisha and husband Bryan Rand of Frisco, Texas, great grandchildren, Jurnee, Dalton, Andrew, Cade, Sarah, Ella, Rhea, Haylee and Grace. She also leaves a host of friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Oliver and Ava Cook; brother, Weldon Cook;sister, Evelyn Duke; and son, Cliff Briery.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday, February 4, 2010, at the Swearingen Funeral Chapel with Rev. Andy Lewis of the Holy Covenant Methodist Church, in Carrolton, Texas officiating. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, in Seminole.
Pallbearers will be: Mike Townsend, Frank Slaughter, Bryan Rand, Dalton Hill, Cade Hill and Dayton Barnes.
