Edward DeLoach

Edward Wayne DeLoach died Sunday, Feb. 14, in Seminole. Graveside services are scheduled for 2 p.m., at the Little Cemetery Chapel, in Little, on Saturday, Feb. 20.

Services are under direction of Fisher Funeral Home of Holdenville.

Edward DeLoach

Edward Wayne DeLoach, age 69, died Sunday, Feb. 14, in Seminole.

He was born April 24, 1940, to Reuben and Josie (Tate) DeLoach, in Corinth, Miss. He was brought up in Mississippi and in Arkansas. He married Mary Griffin on Feb. 9, 1970, in Shawnee, and they made their home in Seminole.

As a young man he traveled to various towns and communities across the country as a semi-pro wrestler. He was an over-the-road truck driver for 35 years. From 1972 to 1985, he operated a horse and cattle ranch in the Holdenville area.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and brothers, Eddie Gains DeLoach and Travis DeLoach.

He is survived by his stepdaughters, Janice Kay Brumley, of Holdenville, Connie Marie Cheatham, of Bixby, JoWanna Morris, of Wewoka, and Terry Lynn Perry, of Seminole; nine step grandchildren; and eleven step great-grandchildren; and sister, Edna DeLoach, of Detroit, Mich.

Graveside services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 20, at the Little Cemetery Chapel and interment will be in the Little Cemetery.

Services are under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home, of Holdenville.

Claudia Dennis

Claudia Irene Dennis, age 92, passed away on May 13, 2010 in Cushing.

She was born to William Edward Anderson and Margaret Susan (Rutledge) Anderson on July 26, 1917 on Chickalah Mountain near Bellville in Yell County, Ark.

Irene, a homemaker, and her husband, Edward J. Dennis, who preceded her in death on November 11, 2009, lived on a farm south of Yale for many years.

She had been a resident of Linwood Village Nursing Home in Cushing since last fall.

Irene is survived by three sons, Kent M. Young and his wife Jeanette of Tulsa; David L. Young and his wife Darlene of Wewoka; Donald R. Young of California; one daughter, Claudia Kay Cater of Oklahoma City, and step-daughter Murna Rae Dennis of Yale.

She is also survived by numerous loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews and others.

She was also preceded in death by former husband, Earnest M. Young, son Jimmy Dale Young, both of Wewoka; and her parents, brother Stanley Anderson, and sisters Vinia Horn and Tenia Mae Malone.

A graveside celebration of her life was held at Oakwood Cemetery just south of Wewoka on Monday, May 17, 2010.

Services were under the direction of Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Yale.

William Denson

William "Bill" Denson died on Wednesday June 30, 2010, amid many loving prayers.

He was born March 16, 1932, in Konawa, OK to William "Buddy" and Lois Foreman Denson. He graduated from Shawnee High School, attended OU Norman and graduated from Roosevelt University Chicago with a degree in psychology.

Bill had decorated career with IBM as a sales manager traveling extensively throughout the world. He ran a small computer consulting firm in his retirement.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dolores Jean Newell Denson, their four married children, Richard Denson, Debra Hvass, DeeAnn Mazyck, and Denise Koch. Twelve grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren (so far): and two pending.

He is also survived by brother R. Joe and Bonnie Denson and sister Deanna and Johnny Ward.

Bill stayed current with computer technology and hunting. He fished, which he taught all his children and grandchildren. He sang leading and preaching for the Churches of Christ brotherhood, as well as sharing his faith and knowledge with young Christians.

A public viewing will be 8am – 2pm on Tuesday. The Denson family will greet friends and family prior to the service, at 1:30 p.m.

Norma Dindy

The journey of life began for Norma J. (Cookie) Dindy on October 10, 1953 to Verta Dindy and the late Ethan Cudjo.

Cookie received her education at Douglas Elementary and was a graduate of Wewoka High School. After graduation, Cookie went to work for the Blue Bell Corporation.

Cookie lived her life overflowing with love for her family members and friends. She was the most dedicated daughter any mother could ask for. Her strong faith led her through life's journeys.

Cookie leaves behind her Mother Verta Dindy of the home: two brothers Willis Talley of Wewoka, Anthony (Karen) Griffis of OKC; two sisters Phyllis White of MWC, OK: Etta (Bruner) of OKC; three aunts Katie Dindy of Tecuseh, OK: Thedonia Osborne of Tecumseh, OK: Evangeline Dindy of Wewoka, OK: Two uncles Monroe Dindy of Wewoka, OK and Davis (Genette) Dindy Sr. of OKC: three nephews Marcus Griffis, OKC: Bradley Bruner of OKC; and Lance Bruner, of OKC: two nieces Candice ( Horace) Jackson, OKC, and Melanie White of MWC; a great nephew Adam Jackson, OKC, many cousins and host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 1 PM Saturday, April 24, 2010 at Stout-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, with interment at Westwood Cemetery.

Arrangements are by Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.

Garry Doolittle

Garry Wendell Doolittle, 57, Wewoka, died on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 in Holdenville, Oklahoma.

Garry was born November 30, 1950 in Wewoka to Oliver Wendell and Bennie Mae Doolittle.

Garry worked as a Sanitation Engineer for the City of Wewoka for many years and he worked for Oakridge Nursing Home for a few years.

He is survived by his sister Ollie Ruth (Louis) Kemp, Wewoka, five brothers, Carnell and Ivory Doolittle, Wewoka, Ray Doolittle, Wewoka, Charles Doolittle, San Diego, CA. and Dwight Doolittle of Tulsa.

Services will be held at Love Chapel Church of God in Christ, Wewoka.

Jimmy Dorrough

Saint Louis resident Jimmy Ray Dorrough, age 71, died Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2010, in Oklahoma City. He was born July 5, 1939, in Paris, Ark., to Rasmas Ray Dorrough and Cornelia Claudette (Rogers) Dorrough.

He owned and operated the Saint Louis Salvage from 1977 until he sold the business in 2004. He has owned and operated Tri-County Salvage, in Byers, for the past three years.

He is survived by his companion, Barbara Lindecamp, of the home; sons, Jimmy Jack Dorrough, of Kinppa, Texas, William Ray Dorrough, of Saint Louis, and Beau Dorrough, of Tecumseh; daughters, Denise Ensey, of Rush Springs, and Shawna Etchieson, of Shawnee; brothers, Ralph Dorrough, Dwain Pitts, and Jerry Dorrough, all of Saint Louis, Jake Dorrough, of Wolf, Steve Pitts, of Maud, Danny Dorrough and Kenny Dorrough, both of Abilene, Texas; sisters, Genevive Dorrough, Cathy Dorrough and Linda Dorrough, all of Abilene, Texas; and nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Matthew David Dorrough; and sisters, Maxine and Barbara Dorrough.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010, at the Saint Louis First Baptist Church, in Saint Louis. Interment will be at Cummings Cemetery, in Maud. Brother Glenn Peck will officiate the service.

Casket Bearers will be: Shane Stidham, William Johnson, Jake Dorrough, Jason Dorrough, Mike White and Tommy Monk.

Honorary Bearers will be: Ronnie Stackhouse and Sammy Young.

Services are under the direction of Knight-Swearingen Funeral Home, in Maud.

William Dorrough

William "Ralph" Dorrough, 75 year-old, longtime Saint Louis, Oklahoma resident died May 9, 2010 at his home in Saint Louis.

He was born October 21, 1935 in Paris, Arkansas to parents Rasmas Ray Dorrough and Cornelia Claudette (Rogers) Dorrough.

Dorrough married Dixie Arlene Eastwood on July 1, 1967 at the Wilmont Baptist Church in Oklahoma City.

Dorrough owned and operated the Saint Louis Auto Salvage until his retirement in 1981.

He was of the Christian faith and he also enjoyed country gospel music; John Wayne; Hank Williams and playing the guitar.

Dorrough is survived by his wife of almost 43 years, Dixie Arlene (Eastwood) Dorrough of the home; six brothers, Dwain Pitts and Jerry Dorrough of Saint Louis, Jake Dorrough of Wolf, Steve Pitts of Maud, and Danny Dorrough and Kenny Dorrough both of Abilene, Texas; three sisters, Genevive Dorrough, Cathy Dorrough and Linda Dorrough all of Abilene, Texas; and a host of nieces and nephews and many other family and dear friends.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Saint Louis.

Interment will follow at Cummings Cemetery in Maud. Ishmael Webb and Pastor Glenn Peck will officiate the service.

Arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Maud.

Michael Dosh

Michael Todd Dosh passed from this life on Monday, October 4, 2010, at his home north of Seminole at the age of 42 years.

Michael was the son of Ted & Carolyn (Steward) Dosh, born on August 24, 1968 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was brought up and attended schools in Bennington, Oklahoma. Following high school graduation, he worked as a truck driver until his health failed two years ago. After living in various parts of Oklahoma, Michael made his home in Seminole for the past six years. He married Dusty Dawn Harris in Seminole on June 2, 2007.

Michael loved model cars, real cars and mechanic work. He loved horses, loved to ride, and enjoyed all of nature.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, and one son, Colton Dosh.

He is survived by his wife, Dusty, of the home; four children: Michael Paul Dosh and Justin Dosh, both of North Carolina, Timothy Bouchard and Monica Dosh, both of Seminole; his first granddaughter, soon to be born; his parents, Ted and Carolyn Dosh of Bennington; one brother, Brandon Dosh, also of Bennington.

Funeral Services will be Thursday, October 7, 2010, 2 p.m. at the Twin Oak Baptist Church north of Seminole. Rev. Forrest Wess is the officiating minister.

Pallbearers are Cory Pettigrew, Clark Anderson, Orthel Harris Jr., Steve Sutton, Timothy Bouchard and Jerry Fielder.

Services are under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home of Holdenville.

Jimmy Dotson

Wewoka resident Jimmy Lee Dotson, age 72, died Friday, Feb. 12, 2010, in Unity Hospital Shawnee.

He was born in Oklahoma City, to the Audie Elmer Dotson and Bessie Agnus Hart.

He married Geraldine Madden, April 4, 1969. He was a self-employed welder for many years.

He is survived by his wife, of the Wewoka; daughters, Lois Shivers, of Wewoka, and Loretta Day, of Calvin; sons, Raymond Dotson, of Neb., and Larry Dotson, Kan.; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Jim Douthit Jr.

Lifelong Seminole county resident Jim Riley Douthit, Jr. passed away on April 13, 2010 in Bowlegs at the age of 59.

He was born on May 1, 1950 in Oklahoma City to Jim Riley Douthit, Sr. and Mary Lee (Price) Douthit.

He was a truck driver, EMT and oilfield worker he retired from truck driving in 2004.

He was a member of the God’s Assembly Church. He was a Vietnam Vet. where he served in the 124th Air Cav as a sergeant.

He marrried Neda (Endeboets) Douthit on February 27, 1993, she survives him of the home, he is also survived by his father, Jim Riley Douthit, Sr. of Bowlegs; three sons, Eric Wayne Douthit of Marlow, Riley "Wade" Douthit of Maud, and Josh Duggen Gandy of Oklahoma City; two daughters, Melody "Nikki" Douthit of Maud, and Tiffany Dawn Acre of Moore; one brother, Steven Wayne Douthit, Sr. of Bowlegs; and sister, Mary Elizabeth Pauk of McLoud.

He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; Cody Douthit, Chance Douthit, Garrett Douthit, Rylee Huddleston, Austin Huddleston, Hannah Douthit, Dezire Acre, Draven Acre, Danielle Acre, Dustin Acre, Daniel Acre Jr. and Kase Gandy.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Lee Douthit, grandmothers, Mary Easter Price and Lola May Douthit and grandfathers, Theodore R. Price, Sr. and James Lloyd Douthit.

Graveside services are scheduled for 1 p.m., Saturday, April 17, 2010 at Wolf Cemetery with Rev. Jim Moreland officiating.

Pallbearers will be; Joshua Gandy, Eric Douthit, Wade Douthit, Paul Hobia, Cody Douthit and Chance Douthit.

Honorary bearers will be; Les Hale, Steve Douthit, Mark Gurley, Robert Noaln, Ray Robertson and Jr. Hudson.
