Nadine (Shaubell) Ewert, 90, passed from this life Wednesday, December 22, 2010.
Nadine was born to Claude Marion Shaubell and wife, Edna (Covington) Shaubell on October 9, 1920 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma.
She attended school in Konawa and graduated Wynnwood High. She attended East Central in Ada, Oklahoma. She met the love of her life, Clalude Ewert and they were married in Davis, Oklahoma May 26, 1941.
He preceded her in death March 2, 1988. During their marriage they raised two children in Texas and Oklahoma.
Nadine, was an accomplished violinist and pianist. She loved people, reading, being fashionable with shopping being at the top of her list, for fun things to do (shoes were a true passion).
She possessed a delightful sense of humor and her quick wit will long be remembered, right up there with shopping with her "boys".
Her grandchildren were a joy and she sat through many a tennis match or baseball game in the Oklahoma heat well into her 80’s. She lived her commitment to her family, her friends, and her faith with passion, humor, and integrity.
Nadine was preceded in death by her husband, and two brothers, Jack and Lewis Shaubell.
She leaves to cherish her memory, son and daughter-in-law Jon and Julia Ewert, daughter, Elaine Ewert and her two grandsons, Joshua and Jordan Ewert, also four nephews and three nieces.
Donations may be made to "The Bridge" at the First Baptist Church of Seminole or the charity of your choice.
Viewing will be held Friday, December 24, 2010 from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and Sunday, December 26 beginning at 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
A private graveside service for the family will be held at Greenhill Cemetery, Lindsay, Oklahoma at a later date.
Service under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Seminole, Oklahoma.
Jeanette Factor
Long time Seminole resident, Jeanette Factor Friday, August 13, 2010 at Shawnee, Oklahoma at the age of 71.
Jeanette was born July 14, 1939 in Wewoka, Oklahoma to parents Willie and Elsie (Patty) Joseph. She graduated from Rose State College and retired from the food service industry.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents; Willie and Elsie Joseph.
She is survived by two sons; Russell Warden of Wichita, Kansas, Donald Ray Factor of Seminole, daughter, Stacy Bequer of Tampa, Florida. Jeanette is also survived by one brother, Earl Taylor of Florida, 15 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Wake service will be 4 p.m. Sunday, August 15, 2010 at Sand Creek Eufaula Baptist Church. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday, August 16, 2010 at the Sand Creek Eufaula Baptist. Houston Tiger will be officiating. Interment will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery, Seminole county, Oklahoma.
Jeffie Factor
Funeral services for Jeffie Factor, 84, will be held on Thursday, August 26, 2010, at 2 p.m., at Stout Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, in Wewoka. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka. He went to be with his Lord on August 21, 2010.
A wake will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 from 6-8 p.m., at Stout Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, in Wewoka.
Jeffie was born in the Sasakwa area on August 2, 1926, to Edward Factor and Alice (Harjo) Factor. He attended Sasakwa schools and married Juanita Lewis in Ada, on March 5, 1945.
He served as member, deacon, preacher and pastor of Bird Creek Church, Sasakwa, for many years until his health began to decline. He retired from JP Emco, Ada, where he was a spray painter.
He is preceded in death by his parents, three infant children, brothers, Kenneth, Tom and Harry Factor.
Jeffie is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Juanita, son Curtis Factor, Wewoka, daughter and son-in-law, Alice and Martin Joshua, Oklahoma City, and daughter and son-in-law, Serena and Stan Green, Seminole.
Grandchildren Cecilia Diaz, Rhonda Factor, Curtis Factor, Jr., Frank Walters, Mark Joshua, Todd Joshua, Alicia Joshua and Cody Green. He is also survived by sisters, Martha Factor and Mildred Martin, Oklahoma City, and special niece Wanda Bruner. He has eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and a host of friends. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend and he will be missed very much.
Pall bearers will be his grandsons, Curtis Factor Jr., Frank Walters, Mark Joshua, Todd Joshua and Cody Green. Also great grandsons, Eddie and Zach Diaz.
Kenneth Cooper, Dorsey Nero and Allison Phillips will be officiating the funeral service.

Born July 26, 1936 to John and Lou Gene (Choate) Factor, she died Tuesday, April 27, 2010 in Holdenville at the age of 73 years.
Factor was a graduate of Eufaula Boarding School. and member of AKASVMKV Baptist Church.
She enjoyed playing the piano, listening to music, shopping, riding her bicycle and spending time with her family especially her nieces and nephews.
Preceding Joycette in death are her parents, three brothers Billy Factor, Charles Factor, and John Earl Factor.
Survivors include: brothers Dan Factor of Wewoka, Tommy Factor of Cromwell, two sisters Josephine Hulsey of Seminole and Velta Tiger of California.

Tommy Factor
Tommy Lee Factor passed away on November 25, 2010. He was born on July 7, 1936, in Wolf, Oklahoma to August and Nina (Bender) Factor.
He graduated from Wolf High School and later served in the U.S. Army before attending OSU Tech. Tommy married Wanda Sue Skidmore on May 3, 1961 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. He worked for several years at Lear Siegler before being hired by General Motors to work in skilled trades in their auto assembly plant in Oklahoma City.
He was a proud member of UAW Local 1999 and retired from GM in 1998. He was a member of the Tiger Clan and Tom Palmer Band of the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma. He served as a Deacon at the Central Church of Christ in Moore, being involved in benevolence work, bus ministry and serving as a youth sponsor.
He was also very involved in Little League football and baseball in Moore, serving as president of both associations before spending several years as the Umpire-in-Chief for little league baseball. He became limited in his activities in the last several years but he never tired of enjoying his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Sue Factor of Moore; son & wife, Kenneth and Julie Factor, and grandchildren Patrick, Mekko and Julia, all of Tulsa; daughter & husband Kathy and Dean Pollock, and grandchildren Jared and Zachary, all of Edmond; and son & wife Patrick and Karen Factor, and grandchildren Alyssa, Jacob, and Kayla, all of Moore. One half-brother, George Harjoche of Seminole, also survives him.
Wake services will be Monday, November 29, 2010 from 6:30 to 8:00 P.M. at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole and Funeral Services will be Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at the Central Church of Christ in Moore, Oklahoma with Tommy Haynes officiating. Burial will follow at Little Cemetery in Seminole.
Casket bearers will be Danny Skidmore, Gary O’Neal, David Sanderfield, Rick Corley, James Drake and Mike Fletcher. Honorary bearers will be Jack Cooper, Gene Ford, Steve Atchley and Jim Lane.

Nettie Farrow
God wanted another flower for his bouquet and called Nettie Pearl Farrow home to be with the Lord on June 14, 2010. She passed away in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 68.
She was born on January 27, 1942 in Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma to Jess Lee Mayo Sr. and Julia Faye (France) Mayo. She married Roy Edward "Bill" Farrow on July 13, 1959 in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma.
They lived several years in Tishomingo before moving back to Seminole. She was a member of the Temple of Praise church and helped with the Ladies Ministries, she loved cooking, gardening and sewing.
She is survived by her husband Roy Edward "Bill" Farrow of the home, three sons and daughters in law; Kevin and Gina Farrow, Sr. of Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma, Mitch and Gayle Farrow of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Tommy and Janet Farrow of Seminole, Oklahoma, three daughters and sons-in-law: Connie and James Breedlove of McAlester, Oklahoma, Sharon and Duane Nance of Tishomingo, Oklahoma and Lori and Brett Breedlove of Seminole, Oklahoma, three brothers and sisters-in-law: Jess Lee "Pee Wee" and Pauline Mayo, Jr. of Kansas City, Missouri, John and Joyce Mayo of Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma and Chester Ray Mayo of Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma, and one sister, Juanita Lively of Muskogee, Oklahoma. She is also survived by thirty-two grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters Wanda Barton, Joyce Parker and brothers, Bill Mayo and George Mayo.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at the Swearingen Funeral Home from 6-8 P.M.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, June 17, 2010 at the First Assembly of God at 420 East Evans in Seminole with Rev. Harold Turner officiating and Leon McDowell assisting. Interment will follow at Little Cemetery.

Max Filson
Wewoka businessman Max Wayne Filson, passed away Saturday September 25, 2010 at the age of 85 years in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at First Baptist Church Wewoka, with Dr. Michael Vallandingham officiating and assisted by Rev. Ben Polson, burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
Born April 24, 1925 in Wewoka, OK to O.L. and Erin (Davis) Filson.
Max was a 1942 graduate of Wewoka High School. After graduation he attended Oklahoma State University for one year and joined the US Navy in 1943 and served until 1946, stationed in the South Pacific.
After serving his country he returned to OSU graduating in 1949 with an accounting degree. Max entered the family auto business, Filson Motors from 1949 to 1982. He attended Oklahoma Baptist University and received a B S degree in Health Care Administration. He worked for Oakridge Nursing Home from 1982 til 1986 as Administrator and Wewoka Hospital Administrator from 1987 to 1990. Max was the Minister of Education at First Baptist Church Wewoka from 1991 until 2009.
Max' s community activities included Lions Club 1951 to present where he led the music; Deacon of First Baptist Church ; Wewoka Chamber of Commerce; and Wewoka Citizen of the year.
Max enjoyed his Church Life and Church family. He loved his golf, watching OSU sports, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by wives Wanda Filson, Saundra Filson, and Janet Filson, brothers M.L. Filson, and Joe Filson
Survivors include son Mark Filson and wife Jana of Edmond, daughter Kristi Simpson and husband Chris of Edmond; Grandchildren Kelli Filson, Chad, and Katie Simpson. Step-son Stephen Powell and wife Patti of Wewoka, their sons Shane and Chase; Step-son Brad Bryant, of Edmond and children Josh and Anna, Step-son Bryan Bryant and wife Jan of LaJunta, CO. their sons Garret and Cole; Step-son Billy Bryant, and wife Mechelle, and daughter Ashli of Wewoka; step-son Dennis Bryant and wife Nora of Wewoka; Sister-in-law Katie Filson of Wewoka, and number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Lifelong Seminole resident Amy Leann (Renfro) Findley, age 38, died Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2009, in Ada. She was born Aug. 29, 1971, in Seminole, to Bert E. Renfro and Linda C. (McKee) Renfro.
She attended the First Assembly of God Church, in Wewoka and worked in the healthcare industry caring for mentally disabled people.
She is survived by her parents, of Seminole; daughter, Brayden Brea Findley, of Seminole; and sister, Cyndy Stone, of Seminole.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Monday, Jan. 4, 2010, at the First Assembly of God Church, in Seminole. Rev. Perry Justus and Rev. Doyle Long will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Little Cemetery located north of Seminole.
Pallbearers will be: Brent White, Ricky Streater, Mike Streater, Dewayne Streater, Jeff Lankford, Gary Lankford and Gil Turpin.

Thomas Fixico
Lifelong Seminole County resident Thomas Jefferson Fixico, Sr., age 73, died Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010, in Midwest City.
He was born May 14, 1936, in Seminole County, to Edmond Smith and Magdaline (Tanyan) Fixico.
He was a retired minister. He pastored at the New Hope Church. He was also a former deacon and minister of Snake Creek Baptist Church. He married Kate (Haag) Fixico on Sept. 1, 1956.
He is survived by his sons, Marlon Fixico, of Washington, D.C., Edmond Fixico, of Parshall, N.D., Thomas Fixico, of Shawnee, Lorne Fixico, of Shawnee, Jerrald Fixico, of Seminole, and Milo Harjo, of Ada; daughters, Maurine Fixico, of Oklahoma City, and Beverly Mason, of New Town, N.D.; brothers, Kenneth Fixico, of Seminole, and Samuel Fixico, of Seminole; sisters, Margaret Hobia, of Seminole, Geneva Lowe, of Shawnee, and Winona Washington, of Oklahoma City; 29 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife; and sisters, Myrtl Johnson, Gladys Kaskaske and Tresa Creek.
A wake is scheduled for 7 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2010, at the New Hope Church. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, Feb 17, 2010, at 1 p.m., at the New Hope Church with a burial to follow at Snake Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
