Konawa resident Onita (Payne) House, age 79, died Monday, March 22, 2010, at Jan Frances Care Center, in Ada
She was born March 18, 1931, in Waldron, Ark., to Lilly (Payne) and Sellus Payne. She married Robert House Feb. 24, 1945, in Waldron. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church, in Sasakwa.
She is survived by her sons, Aron Dale House, Rickey Lynn House, and Robert Rickman House, Jr., all of Konawa; daughters, Betty Stuckey, of Madill, Shirley Ann Briggs, of Webbers Falls, Janis Wheeler, of Ada, and Brenda Tatum, of Konawa, Oklahoma; thirty-two grandchildren, eighty-one great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons, Darryl Wayne House, Jerry Don House, and Robert Leon House; one brother and four sisters.
Services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Thursday, March 25, at the Assembly of God Church, in Sasakwa under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, in Konawa. Rev. Wesley Martin, Pastor of the Assembly of God Church will officiate.
Burial will follow at Crossroads Cemetery, in Sasakwa.
Pallbearers are: Scottie Agent, Weylon Holtman, Larry House, Bryan House, Justin House, and Eddie Hilmes.
Honorary pallbearers are: Dale House, Rickey House, Robby House, and Billy Stuckey.
Visitation is Tuesday and Wednesday at the funeral home from 8:30 a.m. until 7 p.m. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday evening from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.
Wallace Huff
Wallace Beacher Huff, age 83 and a long-time resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed away from this life on Monday, October 4, 2010 at his home in Konawa.
Wallace was born on May 27, 1927, at Rocky Point in Sasakwa, Oklahoma, to Effie (Babb) and Zill Huff. He married Tenzie Lois Blackwood on February 9, 1951 in Konawa. He worked as a Control Operator for Enogex Natural Gas Company. Wallace loved to spend time on the farm, go fishing, listen to country music, and to be with his children and his grandchildren.
He is survived by four sons, Eugen Huff and wife, Peggy of Choctaw, Oklahoma, Joe Huff and wife, Karen of Macomb, Tim Huff and wife, Crystal of Stillwater, and Gerald Huff of Konawa; two daughters, Cindy Carpenter and husband, Freddy of Vamoosa, and Phoebe Harris and husband, Jeff of Sasakwa, two brothers, Louie Huff of Tehama, California, and Furmon Huff of Burleson, Texas; ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Effie and Zill Huff, and his wife, Tenzie Lois Huff.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 6, 2010, at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa. Burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery. Rev. Ed Bray, Pastor of Cross Timbers Church in Konawa will officiate.
Pallbearers are Shawn Green, Jeremy Green, Darrell Huff, Bert Harris, Bo Harris, Brad Huff, and Brady Huff. Honorary pallbearers are Amy Hale, Heather Clay, and Aubry Huff.
Kenneth Hughes
Seminole resident Kenneth Hughes, age 51, died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010, in Seminole.
He was born Jan. 3, 1959, in Oklahoma City, to Bobby L. Hughes and Loretta C. (Sanders) Hughes. He moved to Seminole in 1987 from Midwest City. He was a roofer for Styles Roofing.
He is survived by his daughters, Misty Hughes, of Bowlegs, Patricia Hughes, of Purcell, and Christy Garber, of Oklahoma City; brothers, Tommy Wayne Hughes, of Holdenville, Billy Hughes, of Oklahoma City, and Jimmy Hughes, of Newalla; sister, Karen Hughes, of Seminole; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents brother, Gary Hughes; and sister Bobbie Williams.
Memorial services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010, at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Jimmy Moreland officiating.

George Hulbutta
George Hulbutta died on Monday, August 30th, 2010 in Seminole at the age of 71 years.
George Hulbutta was born August 10, 1939 in Seminole County to Louisa Harjo Billie. He attended Limestone schools and was a self-employed mechanic. He was married to Louise Hulbutta and she precedes him in death. George was a fisherman.
George is preceded in death by his mother, daughter Yvette Hulbutta, brothers Lee Moses Sr., and Joseph Billie,
Survivors include his son Allen Hulbutta, sister Nell Starr of Wewoka, brother John Billie of Holdenville.

Sarah Hulsey
Sarah "Jean" Robbins Hulsey was born on February 11, 1942 in Cunningham, Texas to General "Lee" and Molly "Kate" Holbert.
She departed this life on April 26, 2010 at home surrounded by family and friends.
Jean enjoyed cooking for family and friends, but the true love of her life was her horses. She spent many hours trail riding and teaching her children and grandchildren how to ride.
She was a charter member of the original South Rock Range Riders round-up club and was also involved in the OHSRA.
She was a faithful member of Fairview Baptist Church where she enjoyed many friendships and was known for her pies, cakes, homemade hot rolls and hushpuppies.
She was preceded in death by both mother and father, her brother George Holbert, sister-in-law Jamie Sue Holbert and brother-in-law Alvin Lee Hulsey.
Hulsey is survived by husband of 20 years Rick Hulsey, son Montia Robbins, his wife Paula, daughter Dena Nipper, her husband Brian Nipper, 5 Grandchildren: Aaron Robbins, Jennifer Robbins-Wilson, Jack Robbins, Tierra Robbins, Chris Nipper and fiancé Kelsey Borcherding, Tanner Nipper; and 2 great-grandchildren, Hanna and Hailey; one sister Dixie Freeman and husband, Pat; mother-in-law Ruth Hulsey; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Dennis and Sandy Hulsey, Billy & Jennifer Childress and Earl Childress; lifelong friend Mae Newell and many other family members and friends.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday, April 30 at Fairview Baptist Church with Bro. Wayne Knight officiating. Burial will be in Tecumseh Cemetery.
The family will be at the funeral home Thursday evening from 5 – 7 p.m. to receive friends.
Henry Humbles
Henry Thomas Humbles, 60, of 2209 W. Howett Street, Peoria, Illinois; father of local resident, Tahasha Wilcots, passed away at 9:24 p.m., Friday, October 1, 2010, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL.
Humbles was born February 21, 1950, in Alvaton, Kentucky, to Girline (Humbles) Johnson and Wallace Jewell.
Humbles attended Peoria Public Schools.
Following graduation he attended East Central University in Ada. For a number of years he worked in construction.
He was employed at Caterpillar Tractor Company, P & P Press, X-PAC, and last employed by FCA as a forklift operator.
Humbles accepted Christ at an early age, he was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father and stepfather, Sterling Johnson.
Humbles is survived by his mother, two daughters Tahasha (Von) Wilcots, of Wewoka, and Errica Jackson of San Diego, CA.; three sisters Regina Sutton of Inglewood, CA, Lynnette (Ronnie) Lee of Peoria, IL and Avis (Howard) Duncan of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, October, 8 2010 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 305 S. Madison Park Terrance where Rev. Alphonso Lyons will officiate.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m.. He will be laid to rest in Lutheran Cemetery.
Family and friends will be received at 2209 W. Howett.

Dwalia Humphreys
Dwalia Norma Jean Rowe Humphreys of Fort Worth, Texas died on Jan. 15, 2010, following a long illness. She was born Dec. 31, 1933, to Lucille and Raudy Rowe, of Seminole. Her primary career was that of a mother, followed by a long career as psychologist counseling neglected and abused children, in Texas and California.
She is survived by her siblings Ted, Eldine and Clois; children, Don Mark, John and Laura; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2010, at Little Cemetery, in Little.

James Huntley
Wewoka resident James Edward (Liddell) Huntley died Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at VA Medical Center, in Oklahoma City, after a battle with lung cancer.
He was born March 1, 1957, in Oklahoma City, to Quanzetta Huntley Carolina and Conway Liddell.
He attended Douglas High School, in Wewoka, and later enlisted in the United States Army. At the time of his death he was attending New Lima Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Martha (Gibson) Huntley; sister, Latoya (Cheatham) Huntley; and brothers, Joe Huntley, T.S. Huntley, Luther Liddell, Richard Liddell, and Larry Liddell.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 1 p.m., Saturday March 27, 2010, at First Baptist Church, in Wewoka, interment to follow at Westwood Cemetery, in Wewoka.

Gina Hurley
Gina Roseann Hurley of Seminole passed away from this world on May 15, 2010 at the age of 43.
The world received this loving and caring mother, fiancé, and friend on March 8, 1967 in Oklahoma City.
Gina was born to parents; Jackie Don and Barbara Ann (Sturmon) Harris.
From the beginning Gina knew she was to become a nurse, she attended and graduated from the University of Maryland as a registered Medical Assistant and a Phlebotomist.
She worked mainly in pediatrics because of her love for children.
It did not matter if they were her own or friends, she took care of them all. She came as a stranger but leaves behind many friends.
Gina was an avid fan of OU, U.F.C. and Chicago Cubs baseball.
She enjoyed cooking her "famous" Lasagna for all. There was never an empty stomach when she cooked.
Gina was preceded in death by her father, Jackie Don Harris, her biological mother, all her brothers and two sons.
Gina leaves behind to cherish her memories: one son, Bo Jack Hurley of South Dakota, fiancé, Eric "Chief" Coley of Seminole, her "mom" and "dad", Rosetta Coley and William Coley both of Seminole and many special "brothers" and "sisters" she met during her short time with us.
She will especially be missed by all her "buddies" at Stan’s, her co-workers at The Seminole Nation and abroad.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 21, 2010 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole.
Burial will take place at the New Coley Cemetery.
Serving as Pallbearers will be: Brent Hopper, James Crawford, Oscar Carpitche, Dion Wildcat, Michael Adams and John Brauning. Honorary Pallbearers will be her "girls" Minnie Hopper, Jenifer Crawford, Amanda Jo MacTavish, Stephanie Adams and Jerri Lynn Medlock.
