Valerie Rose Narcomey, age 53, lifetime resident of the Seminole/Bowlegs areas, died Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010, in Seminole.
She was born Feb. 9, 1956, in Talihina, to Bill and Dorothy (Bean) Narcomey.
She was a homemaker. She was known as the "Bib B" to all her nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father.
She is survived by her sons, Eric Narcomey, of Baltimore, Md., and Phillip Narcomey, of the home; brothers, David W. Narcomey, of Bristow, Terry Narcomey, of Ponca City, Timothy Narcomey, of Konawa; sisters, Carol Narcomey, of Seminole, Darlene Satepauhoodle, of Bowlegs, Mary Willims, of Depew, and Lenora Narcomey, of Seminole.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010, at the Cedar Creek Baptist Church, in Konawa, with the Rev. Dorsey Nero officiating.
Services will be conducted by Swearingen Funeral Home, of Seminole. Internment will follow at the family cemetery, west of Bowlegs.
Casket Bearers will be: William Narcomey, Bill Satepauhoodle, Bruce Williams, Joseph Haney, Larry Hill and Curtis Tanyan.
Honorary Bearers will be: Kenny Ray, Irving Riley, Richard Cole and Calvin Warledo, Tim Franklin and Chissi Narcomey.
Margaret Neal
Margaret Jean (Schrader) Neal, 83 year-old, long time Seminole resident passed from this life Friday, April 9, 2010 in Shawnee.
She was born September 27, 1926 in Konawa, Oklahoma to parents John Daniel Schrader and Minnie Dora (Thompson) Schrader.
Margaret lived in Konawa where she graduated from Konawa High School in 1944 moving to Seminole after graduation. She married Doyle C. "Mutt" Neal on January 10, 1946 in Ada.
Together they raised four children and were faithful members of the Seminole First Baptist Church. Margaret taught 2nd grade Sunday school for 29 years and she had a deep commitment to the mission’s efforts, she was active in the Women’s Missionary Union also known as Women on Mission.
Over the past many years Mrs. Neal was known for her incredible talent for making old-fashioned peanut brittle.
All of the proceeds went to the World Missions endeavor of the First Baptist Church of Seminole. Many years she helped cook the Wednesday evening meals at the First Baptist Church, Seminole.
Her love for cooking and feeding people carried over to going to Falls Creek many summers.
Her claim to cooking fame wasn’t just limited to peanut brittle, family gatherings were not complete without her chicken and dumplings and her homemade biscuits.
Margaret leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 64 years, Doyle Neal of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ann and Bob Tinsley of Okemah; three sons and daughters-in-law, Dan and Karen Elmore Neal of Enid, Bill and Sandy Johnson Neal of Okemah, and Randy Neal of Seminole; one son and daughter-in-law she adopted in friendship, Ken and Karen Green of Seminole; 9 grandchildren, Sheri and her husband Mark Pitts, Jake Neal, Sarah and her husband Larry Branson, Richard Neal, Seth Tinsley, Bekah Tinsley, Maggie Neal, Krista Green and Kenny Green, Jr.; five great-grandchildren, Allie Pitts, Cevan Neal, Christopher Neal, Erica Branson and Peyton Branson; she is also survived by a host of other family and dear friends.
Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, John and Minnie Schrader, by one sister, Mary Dean (Schrader) Berry and by one brother, Bill Schrader.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m., Monday, April 12, 2010 at the Seminole First Baptist Church located at 420 Reid Street in Seminole, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at 2 p.m. at the Konawa Cemetery in Konawa.
Casket Bearers will be: (Grandsons) Jake Neal, Richard Neal, Seth Tinsley, Larry Branson, Mark Pitts and Kenny Green, Jr.
Honorary Bearers will be: Dub Childress, Kenneth Mendenhall, Jack Reynolds, Kay Dodson, Allen Ledbetter, Howard Young and Larry McMains.

Loyd Nease
Loyd Nease, age 79, of Oklahoma City, passed away July 1, 2010.
He was born April 14, 1931, in Seminole, to Otto and Maudie Nease.
Loyd graduated from Bowlegs High School. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
Loyd retired after 30 years of Civil Service, from Tinker Air Force Base, as a Contract Negotiator.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Norma, of the home; daughter, Amy Hill and husband Wesley, of Oklahoma City; three grandchildren, Braden and Krissy Starcher and Erin Hill; brother, Karl Nease, of Shawnee; sister, Cledith Peterson of Baton Rouge, LA; two nieces Marsha and Jamie; three nephews, Mark, K.O. and Joe.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Ruth Lonsway.
Services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, July 5, 2010, at Southern Hills Baptist Church. Interment will be at 2:30 p.m., at Resthaven Cemetery, in Seminole.
Services are under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home & Chapel in Moore.
Olen Neill
Funeral Services for Olen Edmond Neill of Wewoka are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, July 29, 2010 at the Mission Home Missionary Baptist Church, with Bro. Bob Spears and Bro. Larry Jones officiating, with burial at Holdenville Cemetery. He passed away Monday, July 26, 2010 at the age of 84 years in the Wewoka Nursing Center.
Survivors include Wife: Vida Sue (Robinson) Neill of 60 years. Sons: Ace Neill of Tulsa, Ok, Eddie Neill and wife Nelda of Wewoka, One daughter, Vicki Taylor of Wewoka. Grandchildren Stephanie Hawkins and husband Rod, Russell Neill and wife Kristin, Lecarol Neill, Shane Taylor and wife Misty, and Jenetta Taylor, nine great-grandchildren: Brother Homer Neill, sister-in-laws Christine Neill, Peggy Neill, Pat Neill, and Jean Molleur.
Olen was a graduate of Butner High School. He worked in the Oilfield as a trucker for many years and was a member of Missionary Baptist Church, Odd Fellows, and Barking Waters CB Club. He enjoyed his CB, spending time with his grandchildren, camping, traveling, and making Sorghum.
Preceding Olen in death are his parents, Brothers and Sisters: Lawrence Neill, Sam Neill, R.D. Neill, Grady Neill, James Neill, Paul Neill, Donom Neill, Ralph Neill, Faye Bibb, Allie Mae Mayfield, and Jeanne Evelyn Moore.
Pall Bearers: Glenn Abel, Butch Houser, Dan Houser, Ronnie Kessee, Larry Sawyer, and Jim Stafford. Honorary Bearers will be Jerry Boswell, Judge Sawyer, Hayes Stafford, Ronnie Stafford, and Dewey Muirhead.
Robert Newman Jr.
Robert H. Newman Jr., 64, lifetime resident of Seminole County went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 17, 2010 at his home in Cromwell.
Bobby was born October 29, 1946 in Olney, TX to Robert Sr. and Oleta Newman and was raised in Wewoka.
Bobby graduated from Butner High School in 1965.
After graduating he served 6 years in the US Army.
Newman, in his younger years, worked in the pipeline and oil industry as a welder and backhoe operator before starting his own directional drilling company which he owned and operated for 25 years. Bobby and family attended Grace Community Church in Vamoosa.
Bobby had strong Christian faith, Christian values, and loved the Lord with all his heart.
He was a loving man, always dedicated to his family.
He made many sacrifices, always putting his family first.
He was greatly loved by family and friends and will truly be missed. Bobby was always full of laughter, telling joke after joke.
He gave nicknames to many family members and friends.
Bobby married his "little bride" Pam in 1986 and was married for 25 wonderful years.
Bobby is survived by his wife Pam Newman of the home; mother Oleta Newman of Wewoka; Larry and Brenda Newman of Osage Beach, MO; three daughters, April Mason and husband Jerry of Seminole, Sommer Whitlock and husband Jimmy of Seminole, and Tessa Newman of Cromwell; and one son, Dr. Joshua Sheffield and wife Wendi of Moore.
He is also survived by six grandchildren, Destin Johnson, Taryn Johnson, Chance Wood, Braeden Johnson, Jayce Michael Sheffield, and Blayden Whitlock; and one great-granddaughter Journei Johnson.
Bobby was preceded in death by his father Robert Newman, Sr.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at Grace Community Church in Vamoosa, with Pastor Drew Isaacs officiating.
Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka.
Pallbearers will be Danny Isaacs, Larry Newman, Jimmy Newman, Dr. Robert Wieck, Kevin Wieck, Jimmy Ngo, Tony Rowland, and Eddie House.
The Grandchildren and great granddaughter will be honorary bearers, as well as T and Scotty Isaacs.
Karen Norbury
Longtime Asher area resident Sheila Karen Norbury died on May 9, 2010 in Asher, Oklahoma at the age of 67.
She was born on September 23, 1942 in Wanette, Oklahoma to Olen Oscar and Lillian Adele (Chambers) Sanders.
She was a member of the Avoca Church of Christ in Asher and was retired from Sander’s Laboratories in Tecumseh where she was a lab tech.
She leaves to cherish her memories two sons and daughters-in-law: Mickey Postman of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Ronny Norbury of Velva, North Dakota and daughter and son-in-law: Sharla and Culwell of Asher, Oklahoma, two sisters; Cheryl Newell an Ginger Gregg.
She is also survived by seven grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Olen and Oscar Sanders.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Thursday, May 13, 2010 at the Avoca Church of Christ in Asher, Oklahoma with Larry Sneed officiating and Ray Newell assisting. Interment will follow at Tecumseh Mission Cemetery in Tecumseh, Oklahoma.
Bryan North
Bryan Paul North was born on May 26, 1981, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Saturday, March 20, 2010, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 28.
Bryan, the son of Taylor Ray "Ted" and Litichia Denise (Vass) North, was a resident of Seminole, Oklahoma. He attended Strother Schools and was employed as a construction mechanic. Bryan loved to hunt and fish, but most of all he loved to spend time with his daughters. He will be missed by his family.
Survivors include: daughters, Amira Raso and Riley North of Euless, Texas; parents, Ted and Denise North, of Seminole; sisters and brothers-in-law, Litichia and Brent Tro, of Prague, and Scarlet and Michael Figueroa, of Oklahoma City; maternal great-grandmother, Hazel McDaniel, of Seminole; and mother of his children, Patsy Elaine Thorton.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 25, 2010 at 10 a.m., at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel, in Prague, with Rusty Dawson officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service, in Prague.
Lola Nottage
Lola Mae Nottage, 83, of Ardmore, and formerly of Las Vegas, Nev., passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2010, at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, Texas.
Lola was born on April 15, 1926, in Tampa, Florida, to Florence and Charles Alsobrook. She was one of eleven children.
She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Charles, Wenona, Juanita, Marjory, Earl, Van, and Connie; and two husbands, Anthony Nottage and Allan Chazel.
Lola is survived by her twin sister Zola, and sisters, Francis, and Florence (Elaine); four children, Sandra Downey and husband Bill Downey, of Ardmore; Allan Chazel and wife Ann-marie, of Las Vegas, Nev.; Richard Chazel, of Las Vegas, Nev.; and Candy Chazel, of Odessa, Texas; grandchildren, Bill Downey and wife Kathy, Helen Romeiser, Mike Downey and wife Mechell, Rachael McAden and husband JB, Crystal Chazel, Brett Chazel, and Carmie Shae Chazel. She also leaves behind great-grandchildren, Amber Blankenship, Timothy Downey, LeAnna Romeiser, Emily Romeiser, Stephen Downey, Jessica Downey, Greeley McAden, and two great-great grandchildren Ezri Blankenship and Aanika Blankenship.
For 21 years, Lola worked as a blackjack dealer at the famous Harold's Club in Reno, Nev., which was considered the first modern casino. She was known by all for having an unmatched work-ethic, and amazed her family all the time by taking on enormous tasks requiring great skill and physical strength. Though she had little formal education, she was a bright woman who could build, grow, or make anything. Lola was a very giving person, always placing others first, and could often be found sewing or baking something for family members.
While there will be no formal memorial services for Lola, she was surrounded by family at her death. She will be laid to rest in Utah where she loved to pass time fishing for trout.
Kyla Nunnelley
Kyla Jean (Lenora) Nunnelley Hughes, 52, longtime Seminole resident died Thursday, February 4, 2010, in Seminole. Kyla was born March 29, 1957 to Tony and Anita Jean (Barlow) Lenora, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Kyla lived most of her life in Seminole, where she attended and graduated from Seminole Public Schools. She was also a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, in Seminole. Kyla was a homemaker.
She is survived by her father, Tony Lenora, of Seminole; husband, Kenneth Hughes, of Seminole; stepmother and dear friend, Gloria Barrett, of Seminole; two sons, Holand Chad Nunnelley, of Shawnee, and Hagen Caleb Nunnelley, of Marlow; four step children, David T. Lucas, of Lawton, Kyla Jean Licwinko, of Ft. Campbell, Ky., Kendra Renee Datl, of Ft. Brag, N.C., and Steven Austin Hughes, of Seminole; two brothers, Gaetano Lenora, of Bartlesville, and Larry Lenora, of Chandler; three sisters, Angelina Lenora, Amanda Lenora and Lucia Lenora, all of Seminole; three grandchildren, Howlyn Cody Nunnelley, Bladen Shane Shelton, and Nicole Elizabeth Mendenhall; and two step grandchildren, Hannah Licwinko and Samuel Lucas.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Anita Jean Lenora, and her first husband, Clint Nunnelley.
Memorial services are planned for Wednesday, February 10, 2010, at 11 a.m., at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Rusty Wooden of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, Chandler, officiating.
