RONALD HISAW

DURANT — Services for Ronald Joe Hisaw, 39, Durant, are 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church. Burial follows at Bokchito Cemetery. Family hour will be 7-8 p.m. today at Coffey-Murray Funeral Chapel.

Mr. Hisaw died May 8, 2004, at an Ada hospital. He was born Jan. 25, 1965, at Mission, Texas, to Benny Jo and Cleta Grace Reed Hisaw. He was a graduate of Southeastern Oklahoma State University.

Mr. Hisaw was a teacher at Rock Creek Public Schools and Bokchito High School. He was a member of First Baptist Church.

He and Charlotte Bush were married June 14, 1985, at Lee Heights Baptist Church.

Mr. Hisaw was preceded in death by his mother, Cleta Grace Hisaw; and two grandfathers, Bonnie Reed and Ben Hisaw.

Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Hisaw, of the home; a son, Ryan Hisaw, Durant; a daughter, Morganne Hisaw, Durant; his father, Benny Jo Hisaw, Konawa; two brothers, Garland Perry and Billy Jo Hisaw, both of Konawa; two sisters, Joanie Ashcraft, Pine Bluff, Ark., and Nancy Slaughter, Whitehall, Ark.; two grandmothers, Bobbie Reed Robbins and Ella Hisaw, both of Ada; and a host of other family members and friends.

Bearers are L.A. Cherry, Allen Cartwright, Waddel Hearn, Jason Swayne, Jeff Counce, Steve Speers, Keith Safe, Jeff Lee, Jim Taylor, Robert Jaska and Joe Holt.

KATY, Texas — Graveside Services for Eunice Eleanor Thomason, 103, formally of Ada, Okla., are 3 p.m., Tuesday, May 11, 2004, at Memorial Park Cemetery, Richard Jones officiating.

Ms. Thomason died May 6, 2004, at Herman Memorial Hospital in Katy. She was born Sept. 21, 1900, at Wheatland, Indian Territory, to John and Lena Wheeler Hill.

She attended Wainwright High School, graduating as valedictorian in 1919, and then went to Tahlequah State Teachers College. Later, she was hired to teach at Boynton. She also attended Oklahoma University. She also taught at Morris and Rocky Hill. Eunice worked for many years at Dillon's Department Store in Ada.

Survivors include her two sons, Howard Thomason,Sun City, Ariz., and Jimmy Thomason Abilene, Texas; a daughter, Norma Huddleston, Katy; a sister, Madge Elizabeth; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Claude F. Thomason; one brother, John Howell Hill; and four sisters, Otis Hill, Ada Mary Hill, Lena Vetus Hill Cherry and Dovie Frances Hill

ALLEN — Memorial services for Arthur C. Larson Jr., 83, Allen, are 4 p.m., Sunday at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Robert C. Eaton officiating.

Mr. Larson died Friday, May 7, 2004, at his home. He was born May 19, 1920, in Argyle, Minn., to Arthur C. and Amanda Margaret Hansen Larson. He graduated from high school in Tacoma, Wash.

He married Iva Lois Tucker on May 24, 1972.

He came to Allen in August 1980 from Anaheim, Calif. He retired in 1980 after 35 years' service for Southern Pacific Railroad.

He was a Jehovah's Witness.

Survivors include his wife, Lois, of the home; a daughter, Connie Finschtermacher, Wash.; four sons, Clifford Card Larson, Majesca Canyon, Calif., Eric Larson and Arthur C. Larson III, both of Taos, N.M., Jimmy Dale Colbert, Guthrie; six grandchildren, Will Finschtermacher, Max Larson, Jesse Colbert. Joshua Colbert, Jonah Colbert and Lance Larson.

FORT GIBSON — Services for Staff Sgt. Erickson "Eric" Heath Petty, 28, Fort Gibson, are 1 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church, Tom Barlament officiating. Burial with full military honors follows at Fort Gibson National Cemetery.

Staff Sgt. Petty was killed in action in Iraq May 3, 2004. He was born May 5, 1975, at Ada to Army Chief Warrant Officer Ronald Petty and Janet Jones Petty.

He moved from Ada to Ardmore at any early age, attending Lincoln Elementary School. He attended Byng Middle School after his family returned to Ada for two years in the late 1980s. In 1989, he moved with his family to Fort Gibson, where he graduated in 1993.

He enlisted in the Oklahoma Army National Guard on his 17th birthday, and entered the U.S. Army in November 1993. He served a one-year tour in Korea and four stateside tours, including a three-year tour as an Army recruiter in Grand Junction, Colo.

In February 2003, he was assigned to the 1st Armor Division in Germany and was sent to Iraq two months later. The 12-year veteran served as a platoon sergeant for the Cavalry Scout Platoon.

He was awarded the Bronze Star, Purple Heart, two Army Commendation Medals, six Army Achievement Medals and several other medals for his service in Iraq and Korea.

He married Kimberly Langton Jan. 22, 1994, at Fort Gibson.

He was a member of Landmark Baptist Church at Grand Junction.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Gene Petty and Buell Jones.

Survivors include his wife, Kimberly, and son Colton, of the home; his parents, Janet and Ron Petty, Harrah; a brother Kyle and wife Christa Petty, Louisville, Ky.; grandmothers Voncille Petty and Mintha Jones, both of Ada; father- and mother-in-law, J.W. and Jerry Langton, Fort Gibson; sister-in-law, Shanna Bandy and husband David; and two nieces, Kelsea and Hayley Bandy, both of Coweta.

Bearers are recruiters from the Denver Recruiting Command.

ADA — Services for Wilburn Walter Stone, 72, Ada, formerly of Sulphur, are 2 p.m. Tuesday, at Calvary Pentecostal Holiness Church, the Revs. Frank Trent and Gene Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery, Sulphur. Konawa Desert Storm Post 11194 will conduct military honors at the cemetery.

Mr. Stone died Thursday, May 6, 2004, at an Oklahoma City hospital. He was born July 31, 1931, in Sulphur to Clarie and Minnie Cummings Stone. He attended Sulphur schools and graduated from Sulphur High School. He came to this area in 1992 from Sulphur. He was a retired U.S. Department of Agriculture cattle inspector.

Mr. Stone married Belva Trent on Aug. 27, 1957, in Sulphur. He was a minister in several churches in the Sulphur and Ada areas.

He was a member of Pentecostal Holiness Church. He served in the U. S. Air Force.

Survivors include his wife, Belva Stone, of the home; one sister, Ruth Hoover, Sacramento, Calif.; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two daughters, Karla Joann Stone, on Nov. 8, 1959, and Sherri Lynn Stone, on March 21, 1987; two brothers, Thomas Stone and L. C. Stone; and one sister, Minnie Ray.

Bearers are Kent Lee, Jason Lee, Tim Cornelius, Keith Trent, Chris Owens and Kyle Trent.

Honorary bearers are Jack Cowgar, Louie Bennett, Marvin Lee, Lucky Spooner, John Wood and Howard Welborn.

PATRICIA WARD

EDMOND — Graveside services for Patricia Nell Ward, 59, Edmond, are 2 p.m. Monday at Swan Hill Cemetery in Ada. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, May 11, at New Covenant United Methodist Church in Edmond.

Ms. Ward died Saturday, May 8, 2004, at an Oklahoma City hospital. She was born April 11, 1945, in Sulphur Springs, Texas, to Aubrey Bain and Rose Thompson Bain, moving to Ada in 1961. She graduated from Ada High School in 1963 and continued to live in Ada until 1974. She then lived several years in Oklahoma City and Guthrie, before moving to Tulsa in 1979. In 1995, she moved to Edmond to be closer to her grandchildren.

She worked in medical sales for 20 years beginning with Sherwood Medical and retiring from Tyco in 2002 after being awarded top honors and recognition for her accomplishments.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Stacy and Bill Junk, Edmond ,and Cindy and Charlie Becker, Boynton, Fla.; her parents, Aubrey Bain Sr. and Rose Bain, Ada; a brother and sister-in-law, Aubrey Bain Jr. and Jaci Bain, Plano, Texas; a sister and brother-in-law, Lafton and Hank Walbrick, Ada; three grandchildren, Jordan and Madison Junk and Angela Becker; two nephews, Steve Bain, Ada, and Bo Walbrick, Ada; a niece, T. K. Walbrick, Norman.

Donations may be made to the Susan B. Komen Breast Cancer of Oklahoma Affiliate, 120 N. Robinson Suite 701, Oklahoma City, OK 73012 for breast cancer research or New Covenant United Methodist Church, 2700 South Boulevard, Edmond OK 73013.

ADA — Services for Pamela Beck, 54, Ada, are 2 p.m. Saturday at the Temple of God Church in Connerville, the Revs. Larry Harrison and Tony Poe officiating. Burial follows at Pontotoc Cemetery. A wake will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at the church.

Mrs. Beck died May 5, 2004, at a local hospital. She was born Feb. 19, 1950 at Talihina to Isaac and Esterline Jefferson Tyson. She attended Carter Seminary and Pittman Business College, Dallas, Texas.

She and Jerry Anthony Beck were married March 30, 1988, at Gainesville, Texas.

She was a homemaker and a licensed minister of the United Tribes for Christ Fellowship in Oklahoma City. She came to this area in 1994 from Tishomingo.

Mrs. Beck was preceded in death by her parents Isaac and Esterline Tyson; and two brothers, Vernon Leroy Tyson and Robert Earle Tyson.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry Anthony Beck, of the home; three daughters, Cheryl Campbell, Achille, Karen Wright and Lisa Cummins, both of Ada; two sons, Tracy Lewis, Connerville, and Anthony Sanchez, Salinas, Calif.; five sisters, Ramona James, Ada, Dorothy Baken, Latta, Hazel James, White River, Ariz., Peggy Immohotichy, Oklahoma City, and Marcella Tyson, Talihina; three brothers, Tony Tyson, Heavner, Curtis Tyson, Poteau and Harold Tyson, Hominy; and 16 grandchildren.

Bearers are Jeffery Lewis, Chris Cummins, Stacy Tyson, Allen Beck, Tommy Baken and Gabe Baken.
