Dewayne White passed away at age 59 on Wednesday April 14, 2010.
Callie Dewayne White was born October 26, 1950 in Shawnee the son of Callie J. White and Norma (Bratcher) White.
He graduated from Shawnee High School in 1968 where he was selected as an All-American in baseball.
He received his Bachelor Degree from Central State University and later his Master’s Degree from the University of Oklahoma.
He had been the baseball coach at Western Heights High School where he led the boy’s baseball team to a state championship in 1983 and was also named Coach of the Year in Oklahoma.
He later led the girls fast pitch softball team a state championship in 1991.
Mr. White also worked as Assistant Principal at Western Heights Jr. High during much of that time.
He then was Assistant Principal at Shawnee Middle School and later Principal at Seminole Middle School. Most recently he worked as JAG Coordinator at Western Heights.
He married Lu Lord in 1998.
He was a member of Bethel Acres Assembly of God where he served on the Board, and was in various educational organizations.
He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, baseball, softball, and the O.U. Sooners.
Preceded in death by his father, Callie J. White, as son, Randy Dewayne White, and a brother, Gary White.
Survivors include his wife Lu White of Bethel, a son Michael White (Sheri White) of Houston, TX, a daughter Angie White of Granbury, TX, a daughter-in-law Janet White of Perrin, TX, and grandchildren Hunter White, Jadyn White, Ethan and Jordan White, Cannon Lord, Mother and Step-Father, Norma and Leo Henley, step-children Clint Lord and Courtney of Edmond, Elizabeth Lord of Tulsa, a sister, Tami Fleeman of Shawnee, Nephew and Niece Scott and Brittany Fleeman, Shelby and Sadie Fleeman of Okemah and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday April 17, 2010 at 10 am.
The services will take place at Bethel Acres Assembly of God with Larry Townsend officiating the service.
Burial services will follow at the Resthaven Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm on Friday at Walker Funeral Home.
Thomas White
Seminole resident Thomas R. White passed away Friday, January 1, 2010, in Seminole. Thomas was born to A.C. and Norma Mitchum White on November 25, 1942 in Rush Springs, Oklahoma. Thomas graduated from Rush Springs High School, in 1961. He was a craftsman for Lawton Mobile Inc., for a time before he became disabled.
Thomas married Bernary Jay Stafford March 16, 1985, in Wewoka Oklahoma and she survives him of the home.
Thomas loved playing bingo, CB radios, traveling and visiting friends and family. Thomas was a wonderful husband, son, brother, uncle and brother in law and will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his wife; mother, Norma, of Marlow, Oklahoma; brothers, Burl White, of Duncan, and Kenneth White, of Marlow, Oklahoma.
Funeral services were scheduled for Monday, January 4, 2010 at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, in Wewoka with Pastor Alan Lawson officiating with interment at Oakwood Cemetery, in Wewoka.
Pall Bearers were: Jo White, Jay White, Jason White, Bubba Clark, Kevin Rutherford, and Michael Smith.
Services were under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home Wewoka Oklahoma.
Phillip Whitlock Sr.
Phillip Ray Whitlock Sr. went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 6, 2010.
He was born March 19, 1949 to Marvin and Dorothy Whitlock in Wewoka. He graduated from Wewoka High School in 1967.
Phil served in the United States Marine Corps and was honorably discharged in 1968.
He went to work for the Burlington Northern Railroad in 1968 and retired from the railroad in December, 2000.
Phil enjoyed spending tireless days and nights working on his farm.
Phil was baptized into Christ at the Wewoka Church of Christ where he served as a bus driver.
After moving to Sasakwa, Phil was a member of the Sasakwa Church of Christ.
He did mission work for prisoners at the Davis Correctional Center.
Phil married Linda Kay Reich on May 2, 1970 and together they raised three children, Phillip Ray Whitlock Jr., Lance Wayne Whitlock, and Brian Keith Whitlock.
Phil was a devoted husband, father, Papa, son, and friend. He was cherished and deeply loved by his three grandsons, Connor, Cooper, and Carter.
Phil was preceded in death by his father and mother, Marvin and Dorothy (Clayton) Whitlock, son, Lance Wayne Whitlock, and mother-in-law, Evelyn Mae Reich.
He is survived by his wife Linda Kay Whitlock and son, Phillip Ray Whitlock of the home; son Brian Keith Whitlock, daughter-in-law Kristin Rayanne Whitlock, three grandsons, Connor Keith, Cooper Kegan, and Carter Lance Whitlock of Wewoka: Brother and sister-in-law, Clayton and Linda Whitlock, and brother Gary Whitlock of Wewoka; Sister and brother-in-law, Connie and David Pierce of Holdenville; father-in-law; Millard D. Reich of Sasakwa, and numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, uncles, aunts, and nieces, and nephews.
Services for Phil will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at 2 p.m. at the Wewoka Church of Christ with Virgil T. Romine, officiating.
Services are under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home in Wewoka.
Pall Bearers will be Austin Livesay, Ashton Livesay, Taul Livesay, Millard Epley, Almon Epley, Nick Hensley, Tony Downey.
Honorary Pall Bearers will be Tom Kiker, Clifton Taylor, Robin Chesser, Durl Johnson and the late Cato Jones.

Harlan Whitlock
Harlan Junior Whitlock, 84, longtime Seminole resident died Wednesday, June 2, 2010 in Seminole. Harlan was born December 18, 1925 at Wewoka, Oklahoma to Charley and Sarah Jane (Smith) Whitlock. Harlan grew up in Wewoka before entering the U.S. Army at age 18.
Harlan was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, where he was a Private First Class.
His distinguished service record earned him a "Purple Heart and a Bronze Star". He served in the 2nd infantry and his company of 177 soldiers served in the "Battle of the Bulge". Harlan was one of 8 men that were left standing after the battle; the rest either died in battle or were captured. He also was a judo expert and a sniper during the war.
Harlan in his younger years work in the Seminole oilfields and later went to work as a Mechanic for Wonder Bread in Seminole. Retiring in 1983 after 23 years with the company. Harlan was a member of the New Life Church in Wewoka where he served as a deacon and youth leader. He was also a graduate of Seminole High School. Harlan loved his family and gave all of them nick names. He was also a hat collector.
Harlan married Geneva Pearl (Gentry) Whitlock on June 1, 1947 in Newcastle, Texas.
Harlan is survived by his wife of 63 years Geneva Whitlock of Seminole. A daughter
Sherry Barrett and her husband Mike of Seminole, and a son Larry Whitlock and his wife Sharon of Seminole.
He is also survived by three grandchildren, Kerry Peters and husband Jason, Larry Whitlock, Jr. and wife Tracy and Jimmy Whitlock and Finance’ Sommer Newman and six great grandchildren. His parents, J.C. Whitlock, Edgar Cooley Whitlock, Russell Whitlock, Earnest Whitlock, Lucille Spence, Edna Carroll and Lona Elkins, preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held, 2:00 P.M., Monday, June 7, 2010 at the New Life Church in Wewoka, Oklahoma with Rev. Tom Azlin officiating and assisted by Freeman Whitlock. Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka, Oklahoma.
Casket Bearers will be Larry Whitlock, Jr., Jimmy Fred Whitlock, Jason Peters, Jimmy Dale Whitlock, David Riddle and Roy Sisco. Honorary bearers will be his great grandchildren: Caleb Peters, Whitney Peters, Kennedy Whitlock, Landon Whitlock, Tyler Whitlock, Chance Newman, Reece Hodges and Blydan Harlan Whitlock.

Bertie Williams
Funeral Services are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 20, 2010 for Wewoka resident Bertie Lee Williams at Stout-Phillips Funeral Chapel with Dr. Michael Vallandingham officiating and interment to follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
Bertie Lee was born March 14, 1918 in Ada, Oklahoma to Lester Bloomingkemper and Allie Kaiser Bloomingkemper and passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2010 in Holdenville, Oklahoma, at the age of 92 years.
Ms. Williams was raised in Ada where she attended school and worked at her family's restaurant. She met her husband Hershel Williams while Hershel was attending East Central University. They were married on March 1, 1936, and had a wonderful and devoted marriage for 68 years.
He preceded her in death on June 20, 2004. On Bertie's 90th birthday party she was awarded her honorary cap, gown, and diploma from Ada High School.
Ms. Williams and husband Hershel owned and operated George's Cleaners, in Wewoka, for 40 years. She was a faithful member of The First Baptist Church, Wewoka, and FBC Women’s group. She was awarded Best of Show at The Wewoka Sorghum Festival for her hand-made king size cathedral window quilt and won many sewing awards for entries at the Oklahoma State Fair.
Bertie was the hostess to the Williams family reunion at Thanksgiving for over thirty years. After retiring Bertie and Hershel loved working on their cattle ranch and gardening.
Bertie is preceded in death by her parents; husband; two daughters, Lorraine Baay and Helen Woods; and one brother, Roger Bloomingkemper.
Surviving Bertie are her daughter, Dorothy Sadeghy, of Edmond Oklahoma; grandchildren, Wayne Sadeghy, Ciemeen Jackson, and Shannon Clayton; and great grandchildren, Jason Sadeghy, Shereen and Shayna Jackson, Shannon Elaine (Clayton) Long, James Clayton, Jerica and Joshua Long.
Bertie was the ultimate seamstress and cook. She will be remembered for her sweet smile and loving nature and her Christian devotion. Needless to say, Bertie will be missed by all who knew her.

Gordon Williams
Seminole resident Gordon Ray Williams, age 71, died Monday, March 8, 2010, at Unity North Hospital, Shawnee.
He was born Oct. 6, 1938, in Hedrick, to Charlie and Opal Williams. He moved to Seminole, 40 years ago from Hedrick.
He was a mechanic and served in the United States Army as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne while in Germany, 101st Airborne, at Fort Bragg, in North Carolina, and served two tours in Vietnam.
He married Eloise Williams, Sept. 5, 1975.
He is survived by his wife, of the home; son, Justin Williams; daughter, Mary Kay Williams, both of the home; brothers, Jimmie Williams, of Mexico, and Charles Williams, of Clinton; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Charlene Williams; and brother, Clifford Williams.
Graveside funeral services are scheduled for 3 p.m., Friday, March 12, 2010, at Little Cemetery, in Seminole. Rev. Carl Whitfield will officiate the services.
Serving as casket bearers are: Chris Hawk, Glen Lena, Brandon O’Kelly, Don Rose, Charlie Rice and Billy Harris.
