William S. Price

William S. Price of Pauls Valley, Ok was born November 27, 1922 in Kimball, West Virginia to William Cone & Rachel Godson Price and departed this life Wednesday, August 24, 2005 in Pauls Valley at his home in the Donhoo/Colley Complex at the age of 82 years.
Mr. Price grew up & attended school in West Virginia. Mr. Price worked in the oilfield most of his life. He had a keen eye for looking at geological survey maps and determining where the oil was. Mr. Price enjoyed going to Braums every morning, taking his grandkids to the Black & White Store and loved to tell stories. The highlight of his life was keeping Gran. Dorothy as happy as possible.
The most important thing he taught others about life was kindness and always smile.

Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August, 28, 2005 in the Wooster Funeral Home Chapel in Pauls Valley with Rev. Bruce McCray officiating. Memorial & Cremation services are under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home.
A Guest Book will be available for friends on Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Sunday beginning at 12:00 p.m. until service time.

Madelyn Sue Schilling

Madelyn Sue Schilling of Lindsay, Oklahoma was born August 28, 1922 in Lindsay, Ok to Mitchell L. & Audrey L. (Conn) Williams and departed this life Thursday, August 25, 2005 in the Lindsay Manor Nursing Home at the age of 82 years.
Sue grew up South of Lindsay and graduated form Burrows High. She went to College in Clinton, Ok. Sue was a Reg. Nurse and retired from the Pauls Valley General Hospital after 25 years.
Sue is survived by her;
1 Brother: Moody Williams & his wife Mildred of Lindsay, Ok
She is preceded in death by her husband, Otis, her parents, Mitchell & Audrey Williams, 2 brothers, Jack & Tom Williams. Also 1 nephew.
Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 28, 2005 in the Elmore City Cemetery with Rev. Chuck Fletcher officiating. Services are under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.woosterfuneralhomes.com
Visitation will be Friday, August 26th from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Wooster Funeral Home in Elmore City. A guest book will also be available at our funeral home in Pauls Valley.

Michael Lee Gilmore

Michael Lee Gilmore of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma was born to Bob and Bonnie Marie (McCaskill) Gilmore on September 17, 1947 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma and passed from this life on October 26, 2005 in Purcell, Oklahoma at the age of 58 years.
Mike grew up and attended school at Antioch, Oklahoma and graduated from Elmore City High School. Mike then attended Central State University in Edmond, Oklahoma. On December 20, 1969, he married Charlotte Elaine Brooks in Wynnewood, Oklahoma. Mike had worked in the oil field for over 42 years and was currently employed as a tool pusher for NoMac. He enjoyed baseball and football and was an All-State football player during his high school years. The highlights of his life were his grandchildren.

John T. “Tubby” McNeill

John T. “Tubby” McNeill of Elmore City, Oklahoma was born on February 16, 1933 in Elmore City, Oklahoma to John Alexander and Viva Leola (Pyle) McNeill and passed from this life on April 27, 2005 in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 72 years.
John grew up and attended school in Elmore City. After graduation, he worked for the Gibson Phone Company. Later he worked for Warren Petroleum at the Antioch plant. He was then transferred to Sulphur Springs, Texas and retired from Chevron as plant operator. John never took a sick day for 38 years. After retirement, Tubby returned to Elmore City where he farmed and ranched. He was a member of the Elmore City Church of Christ. His hobbies included riding horses, roping and raising cattle. The most important thing he taught others about life were to stand by your word and work for what you get and always be courteous and respectful to others.

Maurice Wayne Cantwell

Maurice Wayne Cantwell of Elmore City, Oklahoma was born to Roy Hershel & Cora Alta (Heimer) Cantwell in Stratford, Oklahoma on January 5, 1927 and passed from this life on Tuesday, February 22, 2005 in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 78 years.
Maurice grew up and attended school in Stratford, Byford, and Vanoss. He graduated from high school in 1946 and attended college at Murray State. He graduated from Oklahoma A & M with a B. S. in Agriculture Education and received his Masters in Education from the University of Oklahoma. He served his country in the U. S. Navy. On October 12, 1951 Maurice married Joyce Walters in Chickasha, Oklahoma. Mr. Cantwell taught agriculture education at Elmore City for 34 years. Maurice was a member of the Church of Christ, the American Legion, Oklahoma Retired Teachers Association and the Retired Vocational Ag Teacher’s Association. In February of 2004, Maurice was led to the Lord by a former student, Jimmy Balentine. His hobbies included raising game roosters and perfecting his own strain of game fowl which he called Blue Darters. Maurice also enjoyed coon hunting, noodling, and raising exotic animals. The most important things he taught others about life were responsibility, to not give up and keep trying. Maurice was a father figure and role model to many young men.

Calvin “Bruce” Courtney

Funeral services for Calvin “Bruce” Courtney of Elmore City will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 7, 2005 at the Wooster Funeral Home Chapel in Pauls Valley with Pastor Ronnie Beaty officiating. Interment will be in the Oaklawn Cemetery in Wynnewood, Ok under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home.
Visitation will be Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Mr. Courtney was born October 24, 1929 in Stratford, Ok to Allen & Ludie (Neighbors) Courtney and departed this life Friday, February 04, 2005 in Sulphur, Ok at the age of 75 years.
Mr. Courtney was raised around Pauls Valley, Stratford and Wynnewood and has been a lifetime resident of Garvin county. He served his country during the Vietnam War & was Honorably discharged in 1960. On March 26, 1970 he married Loretta Gary in Denton, TX.
He had worked for Hillcrest Memorial Hospital in Oklahoma City & also for the Oklahoma City school system. Mr. Courtney loved to “Tinker” and enjoyed hunting & fishing.
Mr. Courtney is survived by his wife Loretta of the home. 2 sons: Shawn Courtney & his wife Ella of Pauls Valley and Dewayne Courtney of Pauls Valley.
1 daughter: Sherry Rene Rheems of Pauls Valley, Ok. 3 brothers: Charles Courtney of Mustang, Ok; Wade Courtney of Wynnewood, Ok and Mervin Courtney of Duncan, Ok
1 sister: Gladys Baker of Moore, Ok. 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Earl L. Caldwell

Mr. Earl L. Caldwell, age 52, left this earthly life to join Jesus on December 1, 2004. Earl was born to parents Ella Frances and Charley (Red) Caldwell in Madill, Oklahoma on August 4, 1952. Living in and around the Ardmore area for 29 years, Earl made a life for himself and his family by driving a truck, beginning at an early age.
He married the love of his life, Robin Annette Alexander, on November 1, 1980 at Foster Church of Christ. They made their home in Elmore City, where he lived for the remainder of his life. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and going to his children and grandchildren’s sporting events. He also enjoyed taking care of his dogs and cats. Earl’s main goal in life was to take care of his family.
He is survived by his wife, Robin Caldwell of Elmore City, three children, Jennifer Self and her husband Mike of Purcell, Justin and Jillian Caldwell of the home, future daughter-in-law, Ashley Johnson of Elmore City, a nephew, Steven Wallace of Newalla, four grandchildren, Drew S. Rolin, Brandon M. Rolin, Jordan K. Rolin, and Haleigh A. Self all of Purcell, mother-in-law, Jessie Alexander of Elmore City, two sisters, Carrol Ann Wallace and Frances Miller of Madill, one step brother, James I. Caldwell, sister-in-law, Debbie Hardy and husband Scott, with nieces, Jennifer Hardy, Julie Wilkerson and husband Stephen, and Jessica Hardy, and numerous sister-and brother-in-laws, cousins, nephews, and nieces.
Preceding him in death are his parents, Ella Frances and Charley (Red) Caldwell of Ardmore, father-in-law, Leroy Alexander of Elmore City, two brothers, Kenneth Darrell Caldwell and James Norris Caldwell, two sisters Loyce Johnson and Laura Sue Caldwell, one nephew, Jason Alexander of Elmore City.
Funeral services for Mr. Caldwell are scheduled for Saturday, December 4, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at the Foster Church of Christ. Interment will be in the Paoli Cemetery under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home.

Bess Murphy

Bessie Jean “Bess” Murphy of Norman, Oklahoma, formerly of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma was born to William McKinley and Bessie (Howell) Monks on August 13, 1922 in Bower, Oklahoma and passed from this life on November 29, 2004 in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 82 years.
Bess grew up and attended school in Bower Community and graduated from Canadian High School where she received outstanding Honor of “All-Around Student” her senior year for her achievements in academics, athletics, and citizenship. Bess married Pat Murphy on August 19, 1942 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. She was a member of the Womens Army Corp during WW II. She was a past Grand Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star. Bess retired from the Pauls Valley State School in 1984.

Joe Bob Murphy of Norman, Oklahoma

Dr. Marvin Hudson officiating and Memories of Bess service at 3:30 p.m. in the Wooster Funeral Home Chapel in Pauls Valley with Rev. Dr. Robert Kanary officiating. Following the service, refreshments will be furnished by the Lexington and Pauls Valley Eastern Star at the Valley Lodge # 6 directly behind Wooster Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Pauls Valley under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home.

Chester A. Fagerlund

The world became a brighter place when Chester A. Fagerlund was born on March 2, 1923 to Mabel and Hugo Fagerlund in Swea City, Iowa.
His wife Barbara, daughters LeeAnn and Leslie, and grandchildren Kathryn and Jeremy are celebrating his step into eternal Life.
Friends and family are invited to gather with us to honor Chet at the First United Methodist Church, Wednesday, October 6 at 2:00 p.m.
His philosophy on life, joy of living, and the depth of his faith and spirituality might best be expressed in the words of advice he gave his daughter, “Always remember that a person’s education, wealth and success by this world’s standards is rubbish and worthless. The only gauge to determine your worth is by your relationship with God.”
In lieu of flowers, do what Chet did and help a child, donate a book, feed a stranger and give more to your church.

Eileen (Daniel) Gilliam

Sylvia Eileen (Daniel) Gilliam of Elmore City, Oklahoma was born to Albert Andrew and Alberta Melda (Stephens) Daniel on August 27, 1948 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma and passed from this life on Thursday, September 30, 2004 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 56 years.
Eileen grew up and attended school in Elmore City.
She graduated from Elmore City High School in 1966 and Dickison Business School.
On April 14, 1993, Eileen married Dennis Gilliam in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Eileen was a member of the Elmore City Church of Christ.
Her hobbies included playing bingo, fishing, and cooking for her family.
The highlights of her life were her grandkids, family, and her animals.

Deloris Jean Jones

Deloris Jean Jones of Elmore Cty, Oklahoma was born to John Edwin and Pearilee (Skinner) Cole on May 5, 1931 in Shidler, Oklahoma and passed from this life on August 11, 2004 in Elmore City at the age of 73 years.
Deloris grew up and attended school in Shidler.
On July 20, 1946, Deloris married John Jones in Winfield, Kansas.
Together they made their home in Ponca City, Oklahoma.
Deloris worked as a care giver and also a nurses aide at St. Joseph Medical Center in Ponca City.
She was a member of the Osage Heights Baptist Church in Ponca City.
In 1997, she moved to Elmore City and attended Katie Victory Baptist Church in Katie, Oklahoma.
She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, making floral arrangements and collecting angels.
The highlight of her life was her family.
The most important thing she taught others about life were to love and serve the Lord.
