Poteet, Rev. William Iva, 94, died March 8, 2003. He was born to Louis Cass and Eunice (Spivey) Poteet on October 28, 1908 in Fisher County, Texas. He was married to Grace Imel on August 23, 1947 in Chula Vista, California.
Mr. Poteet was a minister for the Nazarene Church for more than 30 years.
He is survived by his wife, Grace; son, Larry Poteet & wife Cindy, Moore, OK; daughter, Darlene Brown & husband Tim, Bethany, OK; brother, Henry Poteet, Austin, TX; sisters, Eunice Huckaby, Albuquerque, NM, and Grace Phillips, Oceanside, CA; 4 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of William Poteet to the Hall of Witnesses Memorial, Southern Nazarene University, 6729 NW 39th St. Expressway., Bethany, OK 73008. Services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 13, at Williams Memorial Church of the Nazarene, with interment at Bethany Cemetery.
Alvin Thomas Smith
Rev. Alvin Thomas Smith, age 85, of Oklahoma City, Okla., died Wednesday, March 5, 2003, at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City, Okla. He was a member of Pentecostal Holiness Church. .
He was the son of the late James Smith and the late Ollie (Walker) Smith.
He is also survived by his wife Mildred (Lewis) Smith;

William John Hatcher
William John Hatcher, age 32, of Bethany, Okla., died Thursday, March 6, 2003, at Residence in Bethany, Okla.
He was the son of the late William Hatcher and Carolyn (Nunley) Wilcox.

Robert Michael Rees
Robert M. (Bob) Rees was born August 16, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois. Bob died March 8, 2003 where he was a resident of Oklahoma City. Bob will be missed dearly. He was a respected member of the Insurance community, known by everyone that did business with him as a tough, conscientious and knowledgeable agent. The Robert M. Rees Insurance Agency has served Oklahoma since 1966. Bob has loved serving his clients, and over the years many became his nearest and dearest friends.
One of Bob's greatest enjoyments was that of Big Band music. Over the years many people heard the sounds of his "Moonlight Serenade Orchestra" immediately recognizing his talent and demand for perfection. Bob's musical leadership began with his own band during his high school years while living in Okinawa.
He also enjoyed flying, an interest he acquired from the man he considered his father, "Chet" Rees. In his love for flying airplanes, Bob served as President of the Oklahoma City Aviation Club in 1995.
Bob's zest for life was strong but his love for Linda and Bailey (their dog) brought serenity to his home life. Bob had many friends that were as trusted and loyal to him, as he was to them
Bob was preceded in death by his mother, Frances Rees and father, Chester "Chet" Rees and several aunts and uncles.
He is survived by his wife Linda and her son, Doug Branch of Alexandria, Virginia; a daughter Megan by a previous marriage; uncle, Jack Fleming of Missoula, Montana; cousins, Skippy Du Charme of Rathdrum, Idaho and Patricia Perrenoud of Otis Orchards, Washington;
Memorial services to celebrate Bob's life will be held at the Mercer-Adams Funeral Chapel at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, March 11, 2003.
Leo Flay York
In loving memory of Leo York. He was born to Artie Flay and Eula (Weaver) York McKinley on Jan. 27, 1934 in Okla. City, Okla. He graduated from and received his Master’s Degree from the Univ. of Okla., with studies in Geology & Mechanical Engineering. He was a U.S. Army veteran and served in Japan during the Korean War. He was the owner & proprietor of York Marine & Salvage Co. He was a private pilot and greatly enjoyed flying. He was of the Baptist religion and was active with the Calvary Boys Ranch.
He was preceded in death by his father, Artie Flay. He is survived by and shall be lovingly remembered by his mother, Eula York McKinley; wife, Dolores; daughters, Regina Park and Debra Williams; 4 loving grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.
Services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 14, at Mercer-Adams Chapel, with interment at Chapel Hill Cemetery.
Cora Cartmill Webb
Cora Cartmill (Cartmill) Webb, age 99, of Yukon, Okla., died Friday, March 14, 2003, at ManorCare, Warr Acres in Warr Acres, Okla. .
She was the daughter of the late Charles Cartmill and the late Ada (Pritts) Cartmill.

Mary Katherine Osborn
Osborn, Mary K. Susie, 58, born July 14, 1944, in Okla. City, OK, to Keith Neil and Mildred (Ellis) Jones, passed away on Wed., March 19, 2003. She was a graduate of Classen High School and worked as an LPN at Integris Baptist Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ray Osborn, II, and a sister, Keddy Kay. She is survived by her sons, Ray & wife Julie, and Sheridan & wife Rita; cousin, Judy Morgan, all of OKC; brothers, K. Roy Jones & wife Carol, Grand Junction, CO, Keith Lane & wife Barbara, Meeker, OK, and Ralph Kris Jones & wife Cindy, Chandler, OK; 4 grandchildren: Mia Nicole and Christian Osborn, and Sade Francesca and Carissa Smith.

Charles Warren Wollard, age 86, of Oklahoma City, Okla., died Saturday, March 8, 2003, at Lackey Manor Retirement Home in Oklahoma City, Okla. .
He was the son of Fred Wollard and Frances (Lister) Wollard.

Harold D. Thompson
Harold D. "Tommy" Thompson was born on October 2, 1926 in Mangum, Oklahoma to Jesse & Effie Thompson. He went to join the Lord on Sunday, February 9, 2003. Tommy served in the US Navy as a Seabee during WWII. He retired from Sears & Roebuck in 1985 after 31 years of service. He was a long time member of Baptist Temple Church, where he was a deacon & a member of the Kiononia Sunday School class. He spent many years teaching Sunday School at the Baptist Retirement Center. He was an avid golfer and fisherman. He is preceded in death by his father, mother, and a brother, Lavelle.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Joyce; daughter, Lynn Parker of Florida; sons Tommy of Arkansas; Robert of Oklahoma City; Don and wife Carol of Oklahoma City; daughter, twelve grandchildren; and fiev great grandchildren. Two brothers also survive him, C.M. Thompson of Del City and Al Thompson of Chanute, Kansas
Dad / Granddad will be forever loved and sorely missed.
