Benny Charles Jones

Benny Charles Jones, age 54, of Bethany, Okla., died Wednesday, April 16, 2003, at Residence in Bethany, Okla. .

He was the son of the late Benjamin Jones and the late Eileen (Brown) Jones.

He is also survived by his wife Phyllis (Eyestone) Eyestone; One Daughter, Daughter-Holly (Jones) Demuth of Ft Worth, Texas Two grandchildren

Arrangements are being handled by Mercer-Adams Funeral Service, 3925 N. Asbury, Bethany, Okla.Interment will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Akron, Ohio

Joyce Eileen Hoskins

Joyce Eileen (McLain) Hoskins, age 66, of Oklahoma City, Okla., died Sunday, April 20, 2003, at Mercy Health Center in Oklahoma City, Okla. .

She was the daughter of the late Fletcher McLain and the late Maureen (Cain) McLain.

She is also survived by her One Son, Son-Kenneth Hoskins One Brother, Brother-Don McLain of Oklahoma City, Okla. Four grandchildren

Arrangements are being handled by Mercer-Adams Funeral Service, 3925 N. Asbury, Bethany, Okla.Funeral service will be at Bethany Cemetery at 10:00 AM Wednesday, April 23, 2003 . Interment will be at Bethany Cemetery in Bethany, Okla.

Donald F. Starin

Donald Francis Starin, age 78, was called home to our Heavenly Father on Sun. April 20, 2003 following a lengthy illness. He was born March 2, 1925 in Hackensack, NJ to Francis and Josephine Starin who preceded him in death. In 1943, Don enlisted in the US Navy and served as an aviation machinist until his discharge in 1946. Don graduated from Vanderbilt University in 1949 with a BA degree and entered the business world. He was the National Promotion Manager for the bowling division of Brunswick Corp. and traveled worldwide prior to taking early retirement in 1976 when he moved to OKC and married his wife Toni. He became an avid OU football fan and enjoyed fishing, reading and cooking. Don loved living in Oklahoma and often said the natives did not realize what a great place this is. In 1979, Governor George Nigh commissioned Don as an Oklahoma Ambassador of Goodwill and the certificate proudly hangs on his office wall. He was a lover of animals but above all, he was a people person who greatly cherished his family and friends. He will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved him. Don was a member of the United Methodist Church of the Servant and was active until his illness prevented his participation.

He is survived by his loving wife and best friend Toni of the home, his daughters Donna Yancey and husband Bill of Nashville, TN, Barbara Beasley and husband Mark of Dallas, TX, and Paula Starin of Ft. Worth, TX; grandchildren Allyson and Kristin Yancey and John and Cara Beasley. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice.

Services were at 10:00 am, Wed. April 23 at Mercer-Adams Funeral Home in Bethany, with the Rev. Jeremy Basset officiating.

Wilhelmina Clara Botts

Wilhelmina Clara Botts died Monday April 21, 2003 in Bethany. She was born March 28, 1910 in Blanchard, Oklahoma to Samuel and Annie Greenwood. She attended St. Stephen's Presbyterian Church where she was very active in women's fellowship and was mission chairman for many years. She worked at Fox Veliet Wholesale Drug Company and Parr and Howard Brothers Florist.

She is preceded in death by her parents, son Wiltz Barrow, brothers Buster, Jack, and Bill Greenwood, and sister Evelyn Dowdy.

Mina is survived by her son James Barrow and wife Marjorie of Bethany; grandchildren Doug Barrow and wife Carol of Yukon, David Barrow of Oklahoma City, and Becky Trammell and husband Jack of Mustang; great-grandchildren Jonathan, Lena, Matt, and Katy; and sister Marguerite Bailey of Duncanville, Texas.

Services were at 2:00 pm on Thursday April 24, 2003, at St. Stephen’s Presbyterian Church with interment to follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.

Sharon Kay Daugherty

Sharon Kay Daugherty, age 54, of Yukon, Okla., died Thursday, April 24, 2003, at 345 Cherokee Drive in Yukon, Okla. Daugherty was employed by Gulfstream Aerospace.

She was the daughter of George Wray and Emma (Gibson) Wray.

She is also survived by her Two Daughters, Daughter-Cassandra (Daugherty) Day of Okla. City, Okla. Daughter-Robin Spainhour of Lawton, Okla.

Arrangements are being handled by Mercer-Adams Funeral Service, 3925 N. Asbury, Bethany, Okla.Funeral service will be at Yukon First Assembly of God at 2:00 PM Monday, April 28, 2003 , Damien Isaacs officiating. Interment will be at Bethany Cemetery in Bethany, Okla.

David Gene Roark

David G. Roark was born May 28, 1935 to W. Richard & Hattie Roark in Oklahoma City. He passed away July 18, 2004. He retired from General Motors after 21 years in the skilled trades division. David was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Brenda Sue Hayes. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Pauline; daughter Carolyn Rivera & husband Nick; grandchildren Roger, Kim, Amber, Raina, and Nicki; brother James Roark & wife Florence; and brother-in-law Pat Miller. Services will be held at 10:00 AM Wed., July 21, at Mercer-Adams Chapel, with interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.

Esther Mildred Martin

Esther Mildred Martin

Born in Burdette, Kansas, May 26, 1919, to Arthur Thomas Foster and Katie Belle (Moore) Foster, Graduated from Harper High School, Harper, Kansas in 1936, and attended one year of college at Central College in McPherson, Kansas. It was there that she met a young preacher boy named Ernest Milo Martin, with whom she fell in love and married at Harper, Kansas, on September 3, 1940. Esther served at Milo`s side as a loving, faithful, supportive, and godly pastor`s wife for 41 years. Together they served in the Free Methodist Church for nineteen years, pastoring churches in Oklahoma, Iowa and California. They then transferred to the Church of the Nazarene where they pastored for twenty-two years in Oklahoma and Texas, before retiring to Watonga, Oklahoma in 1981. Esther served as pianist in every church they served, and then played piano or organ in the Watonga First Church of the Nazarene from the time of their retirement until she moved to Oklahoma City in 2000. She was an excellent piano teacher and has taught countless young people throughout the years, some of whom went on to become professionals in the Christian music ministry. Esther lived exactly 85 years and two weeks.

Esther was preceded in death by Milo in 1989, her parents Arthur and Katie Foster and her brother Raymond Foster.

She is survived by three sons; Doyle Martin of Elmore City, Oklahoma, Stanley Martin of Del City, Oklahoma and John Martin of Oklahoma City Oklahoma; one daughter, Carolyn Graham of Glendale, California; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a host of friends and extended family.

Glenn Webber

Glenn Webber was born on July 23. 1918 in Lincoln Nebraska and was born to his heavenly life on June 9, 2004 at the age of 85. He lived most of his life in the Oklahoma City area with a career in the insurance business. He was partnered in business and in life with his love, Maxine. They were married on January 11, 1941 and were devoted to each other, to their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and to the Lord Jesus Christ. Glenn was a member of Bethany First Church of the Nazarene and faithfully taught the Sunday School class for many years. He was diagnosed with Parkinson`s Disease in 1995 and even through the great suffering and disability that the disease brought to him, he lived the rest of his life with great dignity and kindness, retaining his sense of humor and a heart full of caring.

He was predeceased by his mother, Nola Webber and his brother, Daniel Webber. He is survived by his wife, Maxine, of 63 years, daughters, Carol Hawley and husband, Harry, Susan Young and husband Bruce, and by granddaughters, Lesli Walsh, Kristin Emerson and husband Harry, Andrea Cunningham and husband Jeff, and Keri Metoyer and husband Eric, and 6 great grandchildren, Corey Campbell, Hannah Campbell, Sean Walsh, Andrea Reilly Emerson, Emma Metoyer, and Gabriella Metoyer. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Marjorie Webber and 2 beloved nieces and their families. We rejoice in his reward of eternal life with his loving heavenly Father, and we gratefully` acknowledge the love and care that was shown to him by the staff of St. Ann Nursing Home over the last year and a half.

Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 11, 2004 AT Mercer-Adams Chapel, with interment in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

Josephine Cleavelin

Josephine Hall Cleavelin, passed away June 7, 2004.
Born August 18, 1921 in Grannis, Arkansas to James W. and Laura Hall, one of ten children.

Josephine is survived by her husband of 64 years, Ervin L. (Larry) Cleavelin, Jr. They have resided in Bethany, OK for the past 44 years following Larry`s retirement from the USAF. Josephine is survived by four children: Rodney and Angelene Cleavelin, Tulsa, Rinn and Nita Cleavelin, Lubbuck, TX, Nancy and Kenneth Luper, OKC and Niki and Tony Furrh, OKC. Josephine was active in PC United Methodist Church teaching Sunday School, singing in the choir and involved in the Methodist Women`s Society. Josephine was also involved in Colortones and was a proud military wife, who traveled the world.

She is survived by 12 grandchildren, 8.5 great grandchildren, three sisters and one brother. Viewing will be Wednesday and Thursday evenings at Mercer-Adams in Bethany with the family present Friday 7-9pm to meet with friends. Services will be at PC United Methodist Church Saturday, June 12, at 10:00 am with internment at Resurrection Cemetery following. The family requests that donations be made to the PC United Methodist Church Memorial Fund in lieu of flowers.

Sara Ann Quiett

Sara Ann Quiett, age 82, of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away on June 6, 2004. Sara goes to join her husband of over 30 years, James Harold Quiett. She is also preceded in death by her mother, Isabell McLees. She was a WW II Navy Veteran. She attended Springdale Alliance Church. Sara`s incredible faith in God was known by everyone around her.

She is survived by her son, David. Her family will dearly miss her. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, June 11, 2004, at Mercer-Adams Chapel in Bethany, OK.

David Clayton Wright

David Clayton Wright was born on February 26, 1960 in Ft. Worth, TX and went to be with his Lord and Savior on June 7, 2004 at the age of 44. He moved with his family to Walters, OK in 1963, and then to Bethany, OK, in 1973, and graduated from Bethany High School in 1978. At the age of 15, he became lot boy for Rutlege Auto Sales, in Bethany where he developed a love for the car business. Ralph Rutlege was his mentor and instrumental in David starting his own business, DC Kars. David was a member of Portland Avenue Baptist Church where he served as Church Treasurer, Upward Sports Coach, and Greeter. He loved fishing, hunting, playing games, telling stories and was an avid OKC Blazers fan. He was much loved and will be missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his parents, Marion and Evelene Wright, 4 sisters: Darlene Neff and husband, Henry; Alva Jean Davis and husband, Stanley; Connie Wright and Mary Heath; 2 nieces, Chasity and Carisma Ausby, and by fiance Gina McKean.

Services will be Friday, June 11, 2 p.m. at Portland Avenue Baptist Church. Burial at Chapel Hill. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Portland Avenue Baptist Church Nehemiah Building Fund.

Gilberetta Westmoreland

Gilberetta Westmoreland, age 67, was born June 27, 1936, in Drumright, Oklahoma. She went to be with her Heavenly Father on June 6, 2004. She was employed as an administrative assistant in several churches and medical offices in Oklahoma & Texas. She was a faithful member of Bethany First Church of the Nazarene.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Myra Charlotte (Montgomery) Everitt. She is survived by 2 sons, Jeff & wife Susan, Tulsa, OK, and Kelly Pat (K.P.) & wife Teri, OKC; 2 brothers, Curtis Everitt, Bethany, and Carlos Kessel, Ft. Worth, TX; 1 sister, Lee Meaders, N. Richland Hill, TX; and 3 grandchildren: Paige, Reese & Kellan Westmoreland, and a host of friends.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 10, 2004 at Bethany First Church of the Nazarene, with interment at Bethany Cemetery.

Arlon Woodrow Beadles

Arlon Woodrow Beadles went to be with the Lord on June 6, 2004. Mr. Beadles is survived by his wife of 66 years, Marie Beadles, 2 sons, Arlon Glenn, Commerce, GA, Jimmy Don, Bethany, OK; and preceded in death by daughter Beverly Jo. Mr. Beadles has 3 grandchildren, Gregory Glenn, Duluth, GA, Traci Gail Richardson, Pelzer SC, Adam LeRoy Beadles, Williamson, SC; and 5 great-grandchildren. Mr. Beadles was a retired Texas cotton farmer and Okla. City Park`s Dept. Employee. Mr. Beadles became a Christian in 1949 and was actively involved in the Slaton, TX Pentecostal Holiness Church, the Muse Memorial Church, and Northwest Christian Center of Okla. City.
The family & friends will host the viewing Tuesday, 6/8, at 7-9 p.m., Mercer-Adams, 3925 N. Asbury, Bethany, OK. Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Wed., June 9, at Northwest Christian Center, 8601 N. Council, OKC. Officiating the funeral will be Rev. David Richardson, Jr., and Dr. Frank Tunstall.

Ara Mae Galloway

Ara Mae White Galloway was called home by our Lord & Savior June 4, 2004. She was born June 19, 1900 in Greenville, TX. Her parents were Walter Preston White & Mattie (Montgomery) White Moorman. She married Emmett L. Galloway Sept. 7, 1918. They lived numerous places in North Texas & Louisiana, coping with the depression and World War II. She was devoted to her family and home. A loving person always available when needed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Paul R. Galloway, Sr., grandson Dr. Dan Cross Galloway; great-grandson, Brandt A. H. Galloway. She is survived by her daughter, Marcheta G. `Kitty` Ernst & husband Edward; grandsons, Paul Ernst & wife Sue, David Ernst & wife Allison, Paul R. Holloway, Jr., Barry Galloway & wife Saundra, Edwin Galloway & wife Lisa, Leanne Galloway Waddell; 12 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces & nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Ann`s Home, 9400 St. Ann Dr., OKC 73162, or Hospice Dept., Mercy Health Center, 4300 N. Memorial Rd., OKC 73120.

Graveside services at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 8, at Elmwood West Cemetery, Abilene,TX.

Willie V Jordan

Willie V. Jordan, age 82, was born in Port Neaches, TX on Jan. 18, 1922, and passed away on June 4, 2004 in Okla. City. She was a homemaker and a member of Kelham Baptist Church, the Shriners, and FOP.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Jack C. Jordan, retired OCPD; 1 son, Jerry Jordan; 3 sisters & 2 brothers. She is survived by her daughter, Jackie Suriano & husband Michael, Okla. City; 4 grandchildren: Chris, Shawn, Jerry, Jr., & Jason; and 5 great-grandchildren: Jackson, Cooper, Chaisey, Garret, and Carmyn. Memorials may be made to the Parkinson`s Foundation.

Graveside services services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 8, at Memorial Park Cemetery.
