Violet Marie (Gant) Boggs went to be with the Lord June 11, 2004. She was born in Joplin, Missouri on August 28, 1908. She was a member of Faith Tabernacle Church for over 60 years where she was active in the choir.
She was predeceased by her husband of 30 years, Joe Frank Boggs; She is survived by her sisters, Betty Krolczyk, Gene Noble, and Rose Rathbun & husband Phil; brother, William Gant & wife Dorothy; and several nieces, nephews, and numerous friends. She was greatly loved and will be missed dearly.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 15, 2004 at Mercer Adams Chapel, with interment at Memorial Park Cemetery, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Chalmer Hadley Bowman
C. Hadley Bowman Sr.
C. Hadley Bowman, Sr. died peacefully in his home on April 4, 2004. Hadley was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Chalmer and Jessie Bowman on January 6, 1922. He was the seventh of nine children and is predeceased by his parents and his brothers, Calvin, Ed, Vernon, Paul and Tom Bowman and two sisters, Carolyn Lovell and Lorene David. He is survived by one sister, Normajean Cook of Stillwater, Oklahoma. Hadley enlisted in the Army in June 1942 and was stationed in Dover England during the D-Day invasion. He often told the story of seeing American and allied ships for as far as the eye could see moving past the English coast toward France on that day. Hadley returned to the states in 1946 and on November 27, 1946 he married Jean Lasater. Hadley later graduated from the University of Oklahoma School of Pharmacy in 1949 on the GI Bill. Hadley and Jean owned Bowman Drug in three separate locations over his five decades of practicing pharmacy from 1949 until he retired in 1995. He was a beloved member of the Bethany Community where Bowman Drug was located for its last thirty one years until 1995. Hadley was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Hadley is survived by his wife, Jean, of the home, and his four children and their spouses, Hadley Jr. and Candi Bowman of Oklahoma City, Tom and Jann Bowman of Salina, Kansas, Janet Bowman of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Mike and Amy Bowman of Chandler, Arizona. He is also survived by six grandchildren, David, Elliott, Amanda, Garrett, Griffon and Anna and by numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Mercer-Adams Funeral Home in Bethany with burial at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Bronell A. Greer
Bronell A. Greer, age 81, went to be with his Lord on Monday, April 5, 2004 from St. Ann`s Home where he had resided for a year. He grew up in Shawnee, Oklahoma, the youngest of eight boys. He married Paula Whitener of Duncan, Oklahoma, who was then his French teacher at Bethany Nazarene College (now Southern Nazarene University). In 1944 he earned a degree in Theology. That same year the Greers left for India where they served as missionaries for the next 47 years.
In India, they had two sons: David, who died in a drowning accident there in 1962, and Stephen, who is now a social worker for the Topeka Public Schools in Kansas. Stephen is joined by his wife, Trish, formerly of Olean, NY.
The family will receive visitors at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 7.
Funeral services will be at Calvary Church of the Nazarene on Thursday, April 8, 2004 at 10:00 a.m., followed by interment at Bethany Cemetery.
Josephine K. Gary
Josephine K. Gary (JoKay), as she was known to all that knew and loved her, was born December 7, 1944 to Robert and Thelma Thurston, and passed away April 11, 2004 after a long fight with cancer. She fought the good fight until she could fight no longer. She never gave up until the very end. JoKay was a loving mother and grandmother. She touched everyone`s heart that knew her. JoKay loved life and living. Spring was her favorite time of the year. She loved working in her yard and planting flowers, and any thing to do with the outdoors, sports and animals. She will be missed very much.
JoKay is survived by her son, Ron Gary & wife Deborah, Edmond, OK, and her #1 grandson, Clint, also of Edmond. Special thanks to all her doctors, nurses and caregivers at Mercy.
Services to celebrate JoKay`s life will be held at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service, 3925 N. Asbury, Bethany, OK, at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 15, with graveside services following at Memorial Park Cemetery, OKC.
Alice Loucleta Barber

Alice L. Barber, age 93, was born August 7, 1910 in Woodward, Oklahoma and passed away April 7, 2004 after a short illness. She moved to Oklahoma City in 1926 and worked for Sherwin-Williams as an assistant manager for 27 years. Alice was married to Leo W. Barber of Oklahoma City for the last 38 years.
Alice was preceded in death by her first husband, Tracy W. Ryman, her son, Don T. Ryman and her three brothers, Russell, Dallas, and Ralph Enlow. She is survived by her husband Leo Barber, daughter Dolores Garver and her son-in law, Albert Garver, step-daughters Billye Stein and husband Jerry, Beverly Bevins and husband Mike. She is also survived by her grandchildren Tracy and Jana Garver, Tina Hodges, Todd, Micah and Kim Bevins, Tim and Wanda Stein, Tammye and Damon Dawes and great grandchildren, Richard Ferling, Jr., Toby, Jayme and Stacy Garver, Blake Dawes, Chace, Courtney, Jeremey and Hunter Stein, Josh, Amanda and Kris Keeper and four great, great grandchildren Allye Stein, Ella Bevins, Ally Keeper and Pazley Garver. Alice had a good life; she was one of a kind and added a spark to life. We loved her dearly and she will be missed by many.
Funeral services will be at Mercer-Adams Chapel, 3925 N. Asbury, Bethany, on Saturday, April 10, at 10:00 a.m., followed by interment at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mark Alan Crossman
Mark Alan Crossman was born in Lima, Ohio on December 13, 1954 and passed away in Bethany, Oklahoma on April 4, 2004. He graduated from Shawnee High School in Lima, Ohio in June of 1973, and obtained his Bachelors Degree from Southern Nazarene University, Bethany, Oklahoma, in May of 1991.
He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Dillon Crossman, Lima, OH and Punta Gorda, FL. Also, his older brother and sister, William Crossman, and Carol Crossman, Lima, OH. In addition, he has a daughter, Monica Arlette Crossman, Bethany, OK, and one grandson, Collin Alan Sapcut, also of Bethany. He is preceded in death by his father, William H. Crossman.
Mark had a quick wit and an unforgettable personality. He was a devoted father and grandfather and will truly be missed by all who loved him.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 9, at Bethany 1st Church of the Nazarene Chapel in the Round.

Sharon Kay Galyon, passed away on Wednesday, March 31, 2004. She was born to General Baxter & Maddie (Robertson) Hopper in Shawnee, Oklahoma on October 21, 1951.
She was preceded in death by her son, Jason Galyon, and brother, Edward `Hoppy` Hopper. She is survived by her husband, J. Brent Galyon of the home; son, Paul Galyon & wife, Shelley, Mustang, OK; sister, Jean LeCompte & husband, Oren, Shawnee, OK; sister-in-law, Paula Collins & husband, John, OKC; two grandchildren: Brent and Laken; several nieces & nephews and friends & strays that will cherish the memories of her forever.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 5, 2004, at Forest Hills Christian Church, with interment at Fairlawn Cemetery.

Johnetta `Joni` Ann DeLaPaz
Loving wife, mother and sister went to her heavenly home at the age of 64.
Joni Ann was born on December 1, 1939, in Lawton, Oklahoma, and left this world on March 30, 2004.
Joni was a loving wife to Secundo for thirty three years. They traveled the U.S. many years while Secundo worked in the field of oil & gas exploration. In her later years she enjoyed being a member and participating in the OKC Pow-Wow Club. All who knew her, know she is a passionate and strong willed person and stood up for what she believed.
She is preceded in death by mother, LaVerne Neal, brother, Jim Neal, and most recently, son, Timothy Moore. She is survived by husband, Secundo, daughters, Sue Koskela of Oklahoma City, Donita Wiggins of Bethany, and Loa Girty of Tahlequah; sisters, Loa Dungan of Arlington, TX, and Virginia Harrison of Lawton. Grandchildren, Kristie Payne, Amanda and Nicole Williams; Logan, Garrett, and Walker Girty; and Dakota Moore; an aunt, Barbara Longhorn.
Services are 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 2, 2004 at the Mercer-Adams Funeral Chapel with interment in the Bethany Cemetery.
Cheryl Lynn Gonzalez
Cheryl Lynn Gonzalez, age 56, of Yukon, Oklahoma, died Tuesday, March 30, 2004, at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Okla. City, Oklahoma. She was employed by Integris Canadian Valley Hospital.
She was the daughter of the late Henry Bampton.

Estelle M. Richuber
Estelle M. (Broyles) Richuber was born in Newton County Missouri on May 1, 1905. She died Monday night at home surrounded by her loving family. She moved to Oklahoma as a young girl. Her passion was gardening, cooking and doing for others. She was retired from General Motors.
Estelle was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Erva Broyles, husband Mike `Dutch` Richuber, brothers Glenn, William, Chester and Arthur Broyles, sisters Elfie and Blanche Broyles, Olive Bowling and Opal Booth. She is survived by one sister, Allie Milligan of Ardmore, 5 generations of nieces and nephews. Her loving and generous spirit lives in her family.
Services are provided by Mercer-Adams Funeral Home, with church services 1:30 pm Thursday afternoon at Highland Hills Baptist Church, OKC.
Mary Katherine Calcote
Mary Katherine Calcote, age 83 , of Oklahoma City, went to he with her heavenly Father April 12, 2004. Born to Shingo Cabell and Richard Lemin in Chester Pennsylvania. Graduated from Ursuline Academy in Dallas Texas. She joined the Coast Guard in 1943, First Class Petty Officer Store Keeper, First Naval in Heston Massachusetts until 1946.
Preceded in death by her husband Charles Calcote, infant son, and brother Joe Lemin. Survived by two brothers and one sister in Dallas, Texas. Five children, Cindy Peters, Nancy Cox, Donne Page, Philip Calcote, all of Oklahoma City and Beverly Viavida of Wichita Kansas and their spouses, thirteen grandchildren, and one great grandson. She was a wonderful and loving person who will be missed by all.
Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 14, at Resurrection Cemetery Chapel.
Russell William Arterburn
Russell W. Arterburn, age 81, of Oklahoma City passed away January 27, 2004 at the Norman Veteran`s Center. He was born April 19, 1922 in Stuart, Oklahoma. Russell served in the Navy in World War II on the USS Leonard Wood, a transport ship serving both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. He was very dedicated to family, golf and the Elks Lodge. Russell held 11 different offices during his membership with the Elks including President of the Oklahoma Elks Association. He and his wife attended 31 Grand Lodge sessions and helped institute 19 lodges.
Survived by wife; sons, Russell & LaDonna, Darrell & Pam; daughters, Connie & Ron Perkins and Debbie & Don Reed; 7 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild.

Lizabeth Raegan Carter
Lizabeth Raegan Wall-Carter, age 26, and unborn son, Clayton Jack Carter, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2004. Raegan was the daughter of Lee Otis and Harolyn (Scotty) Allen Wall of Lawton, OK. She was born on July 3, 1977. She grew up in Lawton and then attended Putnam City High School in OKC. As a child, Raegan developed her love for singing, art and dance. She also had a special passion for animals. She was preceded in death by her mother. Survivors include her husband, Brandon Carter, Tecumseh; father, Lee Wall, OKC; and mother & father-in-law, Jack & Jane Carter, Tecumseh; grandparents, Ruth & Howard Baker, OKC; god-parents, Ken & Mary Bomar, Plano, TX, secret sister, Natalie Bomar Combs, Springdale, AR, and aunt, Alice Maksim, Aurora, CO. Raegan always believed that she could overcome any obstacle that came into her world. In lieu of flowers, parents, invest your time with your kids and never give up.
