Rusty Farley
(September 25, 1953 - July 4, 2011)

State Representative Rusty Farley, age 57 of the Redland Community, OK passed away on Monday, July 4, 2011 at Paris, TX.

Rusty was born on September 25, 1953 in the Redland Community, the son of Elmer and Estelle McCoy Farley.

He attended the Haworth Public Schools and graduated Haworth High School in 1971.

Rusty married Alison Snyder on June 10, 1977 in Idabel.

Rusty was elected to the Oklahoma State House of Representatives in 2010.

He was a longtime member of the Haworth School Board.

Rusty an accomplished baseball and softball player himself was a strong supporter of youth athletics.

He also had a passion for the Redland Cemetery, which he helped take care of for many years.

Rusty was a member of the Idabel Kiwanis Club and one of the driving forces behind McCurtain County’s Relay for Life Cancer Fundraiser.

He was a longtime member of the Redland Methodist Church where he served as youth director for several years.

Rusty also was involved in several missionary trips with the Methodist Church.

Along with his representative duties Rusty continued to manage BEMAC Plumbing Supply where he had worked for 26 years.

Rusty was an avid fan of the Oklahoma Sooners and was a lifetime resident of the Redland Community.

He loved spending time with his family especially his 3 granddaughters.

Rusty was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend and he will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a grandson, Heath Farley.

Rusty leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Alison Farley; daughters, Bethany Farley and Stephanie Farley; a son, Alan Farley; his granddaughters, Kyleigh Farley, Chloe Farley and Cambrie Farley all of the Redland Community; brother and sister-in-law, Ken and Debbie Farley of Idabel; sisters and brothers-in-law, Carol and Larry Porton of Wheeler, TX and Kathy and Joe Whala of the Redland Community; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Edward and Eleanor Snyder of Wenatchee, WA; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Tracy and Fred Walder of San Francisco, CA, Kim and Mike Robison of Valliant, OK and Shelley Snyder of Gilson, IL; nieces and nephews, Jason Porton, Christi Hatley, Daniel Whala, MacKenzie Farley, Larissa Walder, Brianne Johnson, Drew Robison and Cameron Robison; two great-nieces and two great-nephews; several aunts, cousins, other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 8, 2011 at the Haworth School Auditorium with Rev. David Mercer and Victor Balagbagan officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 7, 2011 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society / McCurtain County Relay for Life, 4110 S. 100th East Ave. Ste. 101, Tulsa, OK 74146, Make sure to note McCurtain County.

Daris Hunter Schell
(August 5, 1986 - June 2, 2012)

Daris Hunter Schell was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on August 5, 1986 to Laurie Robarts and Chuck Davis.

He passed away Saturday, June 2, 2012. He grew up in Broken Arrow and Tulsa graduating from Holland Hall Preparatory School in 2005 where he played football, soccer, and golf.

He went onto attend the University of Tulsa where he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity, he was the Captain of the golf team at Bacone College, and then graduated with a Bachelors in Energy Management from the University of Oklahoma in May 2011.

He was a member of the Honors Program, Michael F. Price College of Business Honor Roll and Beta Gamma Sigma.

Developing his professional career, he was a contract landman for Associated Resources, Inc. of Tulsa.

Daris was an avid sports fan and an athlete himself.

He expressed a passion to spend time with his friends, family and teammates.

Daris was shining star to all who were around him and had full dedication to whatever he set his mind to.

He encouraged others to strive to reach their own goals in life.

Daris was preceded in death by his big brother, whom he was named after, Daris Alan Davis, his grandfather Charlie Davis , and his adoring Uncle, Kevin Alan George.

He is survived by his mother, Laurie and Jerry Robarts of Tulsa, OK, his adoptive father Darold Dean Schell of Kansas City, MO, his Dad Chuck Davis, III of Tulsa and his brother Jace Dean Schell of Tulsa, sisters, Stephanie Brooke Riley of Tulsa, Alicia Elizabeth McCready of Fort Hood, TX and Cathryn Mika-McLeod of Bentonville, AR ; Grandparents, C. Doyle and Shirley George of Tulsa and Joyce Davis of Tulsa and many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends.

No One will ever forget your energy, wit, smile and infectious laughter.

Daris did not pass alone, he was with his fraternity brother and friend, Michael (Dex) Brown.

We are comforted knowing they are racing together through the highways of heaven.

Rest in peace boys ~ you will be missed dearly by your many friends & families.

Memorial Services will be at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at Freeman Harris Funeral Home, 3333 E. 41st Street, Tulsa.

La’Tesa Gladden

La’Tesa Jean “Tesa” (Butler) Gladden, age 53, of Del City, Oklahoma, passed away at 3:05 p.m. on Tuesday, March 20th, 2018, at her residence.

Tesa entered this life on March 22nd, 1964, at the Cannon Air Force Base, Clovis, New Mexico. She was the loving daughter of the late, Robert Charles and Barbara Jean (Northcutt) Butler. She attended grade school in Cincinnati, Ohio and Switzerland County Middle and High School in Vevay.

Tesa moved to Oklahoma and attended Del City High School in Del City, Oklahoma and earned her GED in 1990.

Tesa was united in marriage on August 7th, 1989, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Joe Lynn Gladden. They shared nearly 29 years of marriage together until her death.

Tesa was baptized at Crestview Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on July 22nd, 1991. Tesa was a wonderful homemaker and loved to bake, especially anything sweet! She also enjoyed creating gingerbread houses, being in the swimming pool and getting some natural Vitamin D, spending time with her friends and family, and spending time playing and loving on her dogs, Sadie and Jasmine.

Tesa is survived by her loving husband, Joe Lynn Gladden of Del City, Oklahoma; her step-mother, Myrtle Chandler Butler of Fairview; her sisters: Faith Butler Satchwell and her husband Shawn of Independence, Kentucky and Meredith (Butler) Coker of Florence, Kentucky; her brothers: Shan Butler and his wife Eula of Bennington, Trevor Butler and his wife Valerie of Bedford, Kentucky, and Kendall Chandler and his wife Theresa of Bennington; and her several nieces, nephews and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Charles and Barbara Jean (Northcutt) Butler; her brother, Bryant W. Butler; her sisters: Tracy Lynn York and Jatona (Butler) Wade; and her paternal-grandparents: Robert F. and Loretta Butler.

Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, March 28th, by Brother Hobert Byrd, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street Vevay, Indiana, 47043. Interment followed in the Lee Cemetery, Fairview.

Friends were invited to cal on the family on Tuesday, March 27th, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association or American Lung Association. Cards are available at the funeral home.

Robert “Bob” Kiser

Graveside services for Robert “Bob” Kiser, 78, of Purcell will be held Friday, June 22, 2001 at 10 a.m. at the Ochelata Cemetery in Ochelata. Services will be under the direction of Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell.

Mr. Kiser died suddenly June 17, 2001 at his home in Purcell.

He was born Oct. 22, 1922 at Avant, the fourth of seven children of Wayne William Kiser, Sr., and Lucy Viola Berry. He was reared south of Bartlesville, near Ochelata. While in high school he played sports and enjoyed playing in the high school band.

Mr. Kiser married his high school sweetheart, Thelma Louise Sallee, in 1940.

In his early years he worked as a mechanic and played his guitar part-time. After serving several years in the U.S. Navy, he returned to Tulsa and began playing the guitar professionally. He traveled all over the world and played for bands such as “Leon McAuliffee and the Cimmarron Boys,” “Johnnie Lee Wills Band” and “Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys.”

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Thelma Louise; two brothers, Wayne Kiser, Jr. and Richard Kiser and one sister, Grace Fitts.

Survivors include one son, Robert G. Kiser of Purcell; one daughter, Barbara Ann Lawson of Phoenix, Ariz.; two brothers, Don Kiser and his wife, Mary, of Nowata and Earl Kiser and his wife, Alice, of Maysville; one sister, Norma Sallee and her husband, Harold, of Kansas City, Mo.; one sister-in-law, Bobbie Kiser of Nowata; two granddaughters and one great grandson.

Pallbearers will be Mr. Kiser’s musician friends.

Wilma Watkins

Funeral services for Wilma Watkins, 75, were held Tuesday, June 19, 2001 at the Midway Baptist Church in Dibble with the Rev. Jeff Woolwine officiating. Interment was at Dibble Cemetery under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home in Blanchard.

Mrs. Watkins died June 15, 2001.

She was born June 8, 1926 at Lindsay, the daughter of Elvin and Odessa Spradlin.

On March 24, 1944 she married John Roland Watkins at Yuma, Ariz.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

Survivors include her husband of 57 years, John Roland Watkins; three daughters, Linda Mills and her husband, Ron, Brenda Shelton and her husband, Bob, all of Dibble, and Pam Iwersen and her husband, Steve, of Oklahoma City; one son, John Watkins, Jr., and Gail, of Dibble; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren and three sisters, Thelma Horner, Edna Laney and Argie Faye Boyd.

Alfred D. “Al” Argo, Jr.

Graveside services for Alfred D. “Al” Argo, Jr., 75, of Purcell were held Monday, June 18, 2001 at Hillside Cemetery with Brother Orval McGehee officiating. Services were under the direction of Yoakum-Damet Funeral Home of Purcell.

Mr. Argo died June 14, 2001.

He was born Feb. 2, 1926 at Hollis, the son of Alfred Dixon Argo and Nettie Essary Argo. He was reared in Hollis and attended school there.

Mr. Argo enlisted in the Marines in May of 1944 and served in the Pacific area from February 1945 to March 1946. When he returned to Hollis, he met his wife to be, Mary Louise Langley, and they were married.

Mr. Argo worked for Lone Star Gas Co. and remained in Hollis for about a year before being transferred to Frederick where he and his family lived five years. They were transferred to Purcell where he completed his 23 year career with Lone Star Gas Co.

Following his retirement from the gas company, he worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Purcell as a mail carrier, retiring after a 17 year career.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Doyle, Paul and Eldon Argo and a grandson, Chance Gayle Argo.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Louise “Lou” Argo, of the home; a daughter, Pat Argo of Purcell; a son, Ronnie Argo of Norman; three grandchildren; five great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

Myrtle A. Green

Graveside services for Myrtle A. Green, 91, were held Friday, June 15, 2001 at Lexington Cemetery with Buck Jordan officiating. Services were under the direction of Wadley’s Funeral Service.

Mrs. Green died June 12, 2001 at Norman Regional Hospital.

She was born April 3, 1910 at Fort Worth, Texas, the daughter of Clearance and Elizabeth Mays Brown. She was reared at Muldrow and attended school there.

Mrs. Green had lived in the Lexington area for the past 30 years, coming from Noble.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Louis Green and Joseph E. Pratt; two sons, Raymond Pratt and Joseph Pratt, Jr.

Survivors include two sons, James R. Pratt and his wife, Winnie, of Burbank, Calif., and Wilburn Pratt of Lexington; one daughter, Rose Marie Payne and her husband, Bud, of Midwest City; nine grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Mitchell Pratt, Darrell Pratt, Rocky Payne, Troy Graham, Mark Hansen, Pat Payne and Shawn McElhiney.
