James H. Laney
James H. Laney was born June 8, 1938 in Paris, Texas, and died of heart disease in El Paso, Texas on November 30, 2012.
He was from a family of schoolteachers and a Texas public school teacher for over thirty years.
He taught World History at Burgess High School, El Paso, and was the librarian at Ross Junior High, El Paso.
He was interred with Naval Honors in the Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
James attended Bennington High School.
Joyce “Marie” Green
Joyce “Marie” Green was born on March 14, 1958 in Bonham, Texas to R.C. and Joyce (Dawson) Clinton and passed away on March 1, 2013 in Durant, Oklahoma at the age of 54.
Marie has been a lifelong resident of Bryan County and attended school in Colbert and Grayson County College.
She married Gerald Green on December 11, 1999.
She was member of Grace Baptist Church, Eastern Star and she enjoyed gardening, cooking, movies, pictures, almost anything board games and she dearly loved her family, especially her grandchildren.
Joyce was preceded in death by her father, R.C. Clinton; grandmother, Stella Mae Dawson and Rosa Lee Clinton; grandfather, Ira Odell Dawson and Claude Newton Clinton and stepdaughter, Shirley Dean.
Joyce is survived by her husband, Gerald Green of the home; sons, Gary Leon Clinton and wife Angie of Van Alstyne, TX, Corey Clinton of Durant, Gerald Green Jr. and wife Brenda of Tishomingo, OK and Donald Ray Green of Milburn, OK; brother, Gary Lynn Clinton of Denison, TX; sisters, Carla Breaux of Pearland, TX, and Karen Abrial and husband Larry of Lewisville, TX; 15 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services to celebrate Joyce’s life will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel.
Bro. Mark Wesley will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Colbert with Cory Clinton, Tyler Clinton, Trevor Clinton, Mark Clinton, and Kelly Clinton serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 6-8 PM.
Arrangements are under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service, Durant, Oklahoma.
Ralph Eric Smith
Ralph Eric Smith a long time resident of Durant, Oklahoma passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at the age of 47 years 9 months and 1 day.
He was born in Durant, Oklahoma on Wednesday, May 26, 1965 to Raymond (Red) and Rebecca Jane (Mason) Smith.
Graveside services will be held at the Albany Cemetery in Albany on March 3, 2013 at 10 a.m.
Arrangements are being handled by Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home in Durant.
Geneva Mae Walby
Geneva Mae Walby a resident of Humble, Texas passed away in Houston, Texas on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at the age of 70 years 9 months and 27 days. She was born in Denison, Texas on Thursday, April 30, 1942 to Jesse and Nellie (Click) Manners.
Geneva Manners married Ronald Walby on Saturday, April 30, 1988.
Geneva enjoyed working with her hands and spent many hours crocheting and doing crafts when she was younger.
Services will be held March 5, 2013 at 10 a.m. at the Holmes-Coffey-Murray Chapel.
Family hour will be March 4, 2013 from 6-7 p.m. at Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home.
Interment will be at Highland Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home in Durant.

She was born in Enloe, Texas, on Friday, December 25, 1931, to Charley Elmer and Audra Tildon Newell.
Bonnie was a woman who dedicated her life to caring for her home and family.

He was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Joseph Leonard Merchberger, Jr., and Almeita (Vandenburg) Smith.
Troy was very sociable and liked to be with his friends.
Troy is survived by his mother, Almeita Smith of the home; father, Michael Coburn of Durant, Oklahoma; step-father, James Smith of Durant, Oklahoma.

Alice (Robinson) Dollar age 72 years 10 months and 24 days passed from this life on Saturday, March 2, 2013 and was reunited with her parents Mitchell and Callie (Anderson) Robinson.
She was born on April 9, 1940 in Mashburn, Oklahoma.
Alice married Doug Dollar on May 12, 1962 in Calera they celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary last May.
She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and loyal friend.

He was born on Wednesday, March 28, 1945 in Modesto, California to Emogene Smith.
Jack was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bokchito, Oklahoma.
He was a jack of all trades working on lawn mowers, working on farms for different people and had worked for Beames Hill Stop.
Services will be held at Holmes-Coffey-Murray Chapel on Oct. 15, 2012 at 10 a.m.
Family hour will be Oct. 14, 2012 from 3-4 p.m. at Bokchito Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home in Durant.

Joyce Evelyn Pruitt a resident of Durant, Oklahoma passed away at her home on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at the age of 85 years 2 months and 11 days. She was born in Claremore, Oklahoma on Friday, July 29, 1927 to Bine and Pearl (Brown) Chandler.
Joyce married John Pruitt Jr. in Claremore, Oklahoma on June 30, 1945.
Joyce Pruitt worked for the McBride Clinic in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma for over 25 years.
Graveside services will be held at Pleasent Hill Cemetery, Armstrong, OK at 2 p.m. on Monday, October 15, 2012.
