Kenneth Ray “Skinner” Hampton, a resident of Calera, Oklahoma, passed away at his home on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at the age of 81 years.
He was born to Lewis Virgil and Mary Mae (Dodd) Hampton in Bennington, Oklahoma on Tuesday, May 26, 1931.
Skinner married Ruth Janette in Reno, Nevada on Tuesday, October 18, 1955.
Skinner lived in Oklahoma his whole life.
He was a proud member of the Choctaw Nation.

Services for Kenneth Blackburn, 85, of Nida, OK, who passed away July 19, 2012, will be held on July 23, 2012 at 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Durant with Rev. Howard Stanley officiating.
Burial will be at the Oak Grove Cemetery and family hour will from 3-4 p.m. on July 22, 2012 at the Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home in Durant.
Johnnie Jack Carriger
Johnnie Jack Carriger moved from Durant, Oklahoma to Heaven to be reunited with his wife, Louise.
Jack was born in Pittsburg, Oklahoma to Robert and Florence (Hoffar) Carriger.
He was the Manager of Steger Lumber Company for 60 years and just recently retired.
Jack was a Christian, a proud disabled veteran of WWII, a dedicated Mason, (member of Lodge 45 and Scottish rite consistory at McAlester, a Bedouin Lodge Shriners at Guthrie).

Services for Lucretia Wesberry, 77, of Hendrix, Oklahoma, who passed away June 12, 2012, will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 14, 2012, at the Hendrix Baptist Church, Hendrix, Oklahoma with Rev. Jim Parrish and Rev. Michael Daniels officiating.
Interment will follow at the Kemp Cemetery in Kemp, Oklahoma.
Serving as pallbearers will be Randy Stone, Roy Davis Jr., J.D. Ramsey, Marty Sinor, Norman McLaren and Charles Williams.
Arrangements are being handled by Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home in Durant.
Glenn D. “Butch” Taylor
Graveside services for Glenn D. “Butch” Taylor, 67, of Longview, Texas, will be 10 AM Thursday, June 14, 2012, at the Wolf Creek Cemetery, Utica, Oklahoma.
Interment will follow in Wolf Creek Cemetery.
Mr. Taylor passed away on June 10, 2012 in a Longview hospital.
A native of Bokchito, Oklahoma, he was born April 9, 1945 to Roy R. and Alphie Mae Taylor.
Butch was a retired master plumber and was a private contractor.
Vivian Juanita (Pittman) Harris
Vivian Juanita (Pittman) Harris was born on September 15, 1922 in Quinton, Oklahoma to Robert and Ena Marine (Manning) Harris and passed from this life on Saturday, June 9, 2012 in Calera, Oklahoma at the age of 89 years, 8 months and 25 days.
Vivian has lived in Bryan County all her life and she worked as a cook, machine operator but her greatest job was being a homemaker and taking care of her family.
She attended the First Baptist Church.
Jon S. Hargrave
Well-known Ardmoreite, Jon S. Hargrave, 88, died Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at Mercy Hospital.
He was born September 6, 1923 at Oak Park, Illinois.
A Captain in the U.S. Air Force during World War II, he was stationed in the Pacific Theater and flew B-17’s from the Aleutian Islands.
He had trained at the Ardmore Air Base, and returned here following the war.
He and the former Lowetta Mae Bice were married June 1, 1945.
They were avid golfers.
