Christopher Lee "Chris" Young
HAWORTH, Okla. - Christopher Lee "Chris" Young, 17, of Haworth, Okla., died Saturday, May 20, 2000, at his home.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Haworth High School auditorium with the Revs. James Cockerham and Thomas Cockerman officiating. Burial will be at Garvin Cemetery in Garvin, Okla. In charge of arrangements is Miller & Miller Funeral Home of Valliant, Okla.

Young was born Jan. 19, 1983, in DeQueen, Ark., and had lived most of his life in the Haworth area. He was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are his parents, Pat and Jimmy Kirkpatrick of Haworth, Okla., and Chuck and Sherry Young of Kingfisher, Okla.; a brother, Matthew Kirkpatrick of the home; two sisters, Amy Kirkpatrick of the home and Christie Kirkpatrick of Atsugi, Japan; grandparents, V.L. and LaMoyne Chapman of Garvin, Okla., Faye Young of Idabel, Okla., and Glenda Kirkpatrick James of Goodwater, Okla.

The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Earl E. Harmon
HUGO, Okla. - Earl E. Harmon, 88, of Hugo, died Friday, May 19, 2000, at Christus St. Joseph's Hospital, Paris.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, May 22, at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Doug McClure officiating. Prater, Lampton-Mills and Coffey Funeral Home will make burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Surviving are his wife, Dorothy; a sister, Annie Miles of Lonoke, Ark.; grandchildren, Luciana Bates and husband of Powderly, Paula Rowe of Wichita Falls, Sara Deaton of Lubbock; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Bernice; son, Robert Clifton; brothers Raymond and Virgil Harmon, and sisters, Nora Irby, Katherin Haynie, and Beartha Scott.

Floyd Mack Butler
HUGO, Okla. - Floyd Mack Butler, 90, of Hugo died Wednesday, May 17, 2000, at Choctaw Memorial Hospital.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, May 19 at Prater- Lampton-Mills and Coffey Funeral Home with the Rev. Mutt Wallace officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Surviving are children, Marie Butler Walker and husband Lloyd of Antlers, Kenneth Butler and wife Vickie of Hugo, Donnie Butler and wife Phyllis of Idabel, Clinton Butler and wife Nina of Winfield, Ala., Clellan Butler and wife Melitta of Lawton and Elaine Keith of Decatur, Ala.; a brother, Luke Butler of Yakima, Wash., a sister, Dorothy Wilkins of Idabel; 21 grandchildren and many great and great-great-grandchildren.

Rachel Renfro
HUGO, Okla. - Rachel Renfro, 96, of Hugo died Saturday, May 13, 2000, at Hugo Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, at Miller and Miller Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles Green officiating. Burial was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Surviving are two daughters, Lillie Parham of Fort Towson and Fannie Slaton of Hugo; a sister, Hazel Furr of Hugo; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Maud Martin, brothers, Earnest, Dennis and Don Parker; a daughter, Daisy Bell Thorpe; and a son, J.T. Knight.

Milam Chester Proctor
HUGO, Okla. - Milam Chester Proctor, 76, of Hugo, died Friday, June 30, 2000 at his home. He was a carpenter.

Mr. Proctor was a World War II veteran serving in the Seebees.

He was born April 21, 1924 in Fluvana, Texas, a son of Raymouth Smith Proctor and Ola Mae (Milam) Proctor and had lived most of his life in the Texarkana area. He had lived in Hugo since October 1999.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, July 2, at Wards Creek Cemetery. He will lie in state at Wards Creek Missionary Baptist Church from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Sunday.

The Rev. Gerald Rankin will officiate. Miller & Miller Funeral Home of Hugo has charge of arrangements.

Survivors include six children, Brenda Giles and husband Donald of Texarkana, Bonita Magar and husband James of Hugo, Ola Harrison and husband Joe of Texarkana, Fred Proctor of Texarkana, Roger Proctor and wife Julie of Bossier City, La., and Renae Hobert and husband James of Texarkana; a twin sister, Hester Tidwell of Longview, and a sister Madge Walker of Chandler, Ariz.; 12 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.

Royce Lee Wynn
HUGO, Okla. - Royce Lee Wynn, 48, of Soper died Wednesday, June 29, 2000, at Hillcrest Medical Center, Tulsa.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, June 30, at Assembly of God Church, Soper. Miller and Miller Funeral Home will make burial in Soper Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Surviving are his mother, Evelyn Wynn of Soper; a sister, Carolyn Pierce of Boswell; six brothers, Donnie Wynn of Hugo, Larry, Bob, Cameron, Darrel and Gary Wynn, all of Soper; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jimmie Lou Belvin Hunt
HUGO, Okla. - Jimmie Lou Belvin Hunt, 64, of Oklahoma City died Tuesday, July 8, 1997, at Midwest City Regional Hospital.

Miller and Miller Funeral Home will conduct graveside services at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 12, at Goodsprings Cemetery in Boswell. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

She was born Feb. 27, 1933, in Bennington to Henry and Sarah Belvin. She worked for many years as a waitress fo Ship & Lou's in Bennington and had worked for Little Giant Pump Co. for 23 years.

Surviving are her mother, Sarah Belvin of Boswell; a son, Jerry Paul Belvin of Bennington; a daughter, Judy Murray of Boswell; six brothers, Richard, Johnny and Dante Belvin, all of Boswell; Buddy Belvin of Valliant, Vernon Belvin of Oklahoma City and Solly Belvin of McCloud; three sisters, Lavada Duke of Atoka, Virginia Rutledge of Millerton and Debra Bacon of Boswell; and four grandchildren.

James Marcus Bright
HUGO, Okla. - James Marcus Bright, 84, of Hugo died Sunday, July 6, 1997, at Choctaw Memorial Hospital.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, at Miller and Miller Funeral Home with the Rev. Mutt Wallace officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Surviving are three sons, James Bright of Glen Heights, Texas, Hiram Bright of Hugo and Arthur Bright of Cash, Texas; two daughters, Margaret Patterson of Ferris, Texas and Patsy Robertson of Hugo, 23 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter and one niece, Mary Irvin of Hope, Ark.

James Albert Hammond
HUGO, Okla. - James Albert Hammond, 76, of Paris died Saturday, July 5, 1997.

Graveside services were at 11 a.m. Monday, July 7, under the Bill Darrough Pavilion in Mt. Olivet Cemetery with Prater-Lampton-Mills and Coffey Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Scott Dutton and Jack Cooley officiated.

He was retired from the Merchant Marines and was a veteran of World War II. He was born Sept. 13, 1920, in Pushmataha County to John and Mattie Cooley Hammond.

Surviving are his wife, Wilma; one sister, Dorothy Fisher of Gilroy, Calif., and a number of nieces and nephews including Sandra Campbell of Hugo.

Martha Bully Wilson
HUGO, Okla. - Martha Bully Wilson, 83, of Hugo died Friday, May 1, 19898, at Golden Age Home.

Services were at 2 p.m. Monday, May 4, at Assembly of God Church in Soper with the Rev. Larry Lewis officiating. Burial was in Soper Cemetery by Prater-Lampton-Mills and Coffey Funeral Home.

Surviving are a sister-in-law, Georgia Bully of Bennington, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dick Wilson.
