ALLEN — Services for Edith Lucille Clark, 81, Allen, are 10 a.m. Tuesday at Allen Church of Christ, Keith Warren officiating. Burial follows at Allen Cemetery. Friends and family may call at the Criswell Chapel in Allen from 3 p.m. Monday until service time.
Mrs. Clark died Saturday, Oct. 2, 2004, at her home. She was born Oct. 3, 1922, at Ashland to W.A. and Ethel Russell Alexander.
She attended school at Allen, where she graduated. She worked at the Naval Ordinance Station in McAlester from 1967-1977.
She served as a WAAC from 1943-1945 during World War II. She was a member of the Allen Church of Christ.
She married Edwin K. Clark Aug. 2, 1962.
Survivors include her husband, Ed, of the home; one daughter, Sherry Kay Plunk, Allen; one son, Kerry Gene Caldwell, Allen; step-children, Edwin K. Clark III, Allen, and Rebecca J. Butler, Ada; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Jay Carter Caldwell.
Bearers are Chris Caldwell, Stephen Caldwell, Terry Olivo, Edmond Perkins, Frankie Bell, and Glen Harrington.

She died May 5, 1964 in Tempe, Arizona.Mr. Whiten was a truck driver and terminal manager for Chemical Express in Ada, retiring in 1986. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II in the Pacific Theatre. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars – Desert Storm Post in Ada.Survivors include one son, David Whiten, Ada; three daughters, Judy Christopher and husband Gary, Ada, Nancy Haney and husband Gary, Ada, and Sandi Roberts and husband Austin, Ada; one brother, Doc Whiten, Colleyville, Texas; eleven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren.Bearers will be Chad Roberts, Michael Roberts, Tildon Gillum, Jason Christopher, Mark Christopher and Jay Haney. ADA — Services for J.B. Stallings, 85, Ada, are 11 a.m. Saturday at Southwest Church of Christ, Floyd Kaiser will officiate. Burial will follow at Swan Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Stallings died Thursday, Sept. 30, 2004, at an Oklahoma City hospital. He was born April 5, 1919 at Stuart to Clarence and Ruth Painter Stallings. He graduated from Stuart High School. He came to this area in 1953 from California.
He married Euleta Estes. She died in November 1973. He later married Edna Poindexter Oct. 31, 1974, in Ada.
Mr. Stallings was a member of Southwest Church of Christ, he served on the Board of Directors of the First National Bank for 30 years and was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association, Oklahoma Quarter Horse Association, Paint Horse Association. he was known as Ada’s “Will Rogers” and he was a 32 degree Mason. Mr. Stallings served in the U. S. Army during World War II, as a tank commander for the 101st Cavalry. He fought with General Patton in the European and African Campaign, and was a Bronze Star Recipient.
Survivors include his wife, Edna Stallings, of the home; one son, Larry Stallings and his wife Barbara, Norman; four daughters, Karla Dale and husband Fred, Hot Springs, Ark., Debbie Andrews and husband Tommy, Ada, Vicki Godwin and husband Tracy, Ada and Jana Williams, Ada; 10 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and countless friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Wesley Stallings, and sisters, Norma Wilson and Geneva Crow.
Bearers will be Mark Griffin, Kevin Bickerstaff, Gerald Philpot, Glenn Pendergrass, Sherman Ivy and Marvin Mitchell. Honorary bearers will be Dale McGowen, Marvin Barnes, C. B. Howard, Jim Conway and Al Johnson.

MOORE — Services for Ted Vernon Piper, 92, Moore, are 3 p.m. Saturday at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church at Ada.
Mr. Piper died Sept. 28, 2004, at Oklahoma City. He was born Feb. 18, 1912, at Collinsville.
He was a 60-year member of Wah-Shah-She Masonic Lodge at Pawhuska. He was also a 32nd-degree Mason and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
He married Ann Piper. She preceded him in death.
Survivors include a son, David Piper and wife Karen Kate, Edmond; a daughter, Cherie Piper Thompson and husband Page, Ada; four grandchildren, Chris Thompson, Ada, Jeff Thompson and wife Donna, Argyle, Texas, Annett Hickman and husband Joe, Charleston, S.C., and Andy Piper, Oklahoma City; and two great-grandchildren, Hunter Thompson and Anna Grace Hickman.

Mr. Pitman died Thursday, Sept. 30, 2004, at his home. He was born Nov ,1, 1917, at McLoud to Samuel and Narcissus Crockett Pitman. He lived in the Seminole area for 22 years, and moved to Ada two years ago.
Mr. Pitman married Dora Jordan April 1, 1951. He was owner of an oilfield service company in North Dakota for several years. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church and served in the U. S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Dora Pitman, of the home; one son, Jim L. Pitman and wife Danette, Ada; two daughters, Glenda Faye Groethe and husband Kevin, Williston, North Dakota and Donna Sue Scheele, Ada; one sister, Ollie Smothers, McLoud; one brother, Foy Pitman, Williston, N.D.; six grandchildren, Michael Pitman, Fergus Falls, Minn., Lori Ulin, Phoenix, Ariz., Charlene Dignan, Minneapolis, Minnesota, Jennifer Pitman, Williston, N.D., Karina Groethe, Salt Lake City, Utah, and Emily Groethe, Shawnee; eight great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Vail died Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2004, at a local hospital. She was born May 8, 1913, at Buford, Ark., to John and Gertrude Lovelady Coventon. She and her family came to this area in 1919 from Buford. She graduated from Byng High School.
She married Olan Vail Aug. 23, 1934, in Ada. He died Nov. 9, 1984, in Ada. Mrs. Vail was a salesclerk and bookkeeper and was also a homemaker. She was a charter member of Trinity Baptist Church.
