Delsie Jane Wortham Nelson Warren
HUGO, Okla. - Delsie Jane Wortham Nelson Warren, 77, of Soper, Okla., died Sunday, Jan. 9, 2005, in Paris.
Funeral services were set for 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 12, with the Rev. Greg Hammack officiating, assisted by the Rev. Randall Scott. Interment was to follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home.
She was born Nov. 16, 1927, in Idabel, Okla., to Elbert Wiley and Willa Mae Shankles Wortham. She married Joe Nelson, who preceded her in death. She then married Orville Warren on Feb. 18, 1977, in Hugo. She was a member of Soper First Baptist Church. She worked for the Citizens State Bank as a bookkeeper in Hugo for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Willa Mae Tapley and Juanita Hollaway; and one son, Jimmy Warren.
She is survived by one son, Bill Warren of Fort Towson, Okla.; three daughters, Cleda Brownfield and JoAnn McAllister, both of Paris and Yolanda Bonds of Soper, Okla.; one brother, Delbert “Pap” Wortham of Idabel; one sister, Virginia Blackstock of Houston; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
