GROVE, Okla. _ Wynefred H. Arnall, 81, Grove, died Friday, Jan. 23, 1998, at Grove General Hospital after a long illness.
Mrs. Arnall was born Jan. 2, 1917, at Hobart.
She was a homemaker and attended Grove First Christian Church.
She married Ralph E. Arnall on Jan. 3, 1937, at Tulsa. He survives.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, with Wayne Shaw officiating.
Burial will be in Olympus Cemetery, Grove.
Visitation will be at 2 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Joann Briscoe
MIAMI, Okla. _ Joann Briscoe, 69, 1105 E St. NW, died at 8:52 a.m. Friday, Jan. 23, 1998, at a Quapaw nursing home after a long illness.
Mrs. Briscoe was born Feb. 9, 1928, at Byron, Okla.
She moved to Miami in 1950 from Commerce.
She also had lived in North Miami.
She worked for six years as a ward clerk at Baptist Regional Health Center, Miami.
She was a member of Miami First Church of the Nazarene.
She married Jeff T. Briscoe on June 21, 1947, at Columbus, Kan. He died Sept. 22, 1995.
Survivors include two sons, George Briscoe, St. Louis, Mo., and Roger Briscoe, Miami; a daughter, Donna Teague, Miami; three brothers, Don Tockey, Trinity, Ala., Phillip Tockey, Cleveland, and Mike Tockey, Arlington Heights, Ill.; a sister, Helen Lillie, Bushnell, Ill.; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are pending with Cooper-Althouse Funeral Home, Miami.
Buddy Ellison
GROVE, Okla. _ Services for Buddy Melvin Ellison, 73, 1102 Dogwood Drive, who died Thursday, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Grove First United Methodist Church.
The Rev. Nikicq Blackford will officiate.
Burial will be in GAR Cemetery, Miami.
Graveside military rites will be conducted by the Northeast Oklahoma Veterans Funeral Detail.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Paul Thomas Funeral Home, Miami.
Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, in care of the funeral home.
Lucinda Fletcher
AFTON, Okla. _ Lucinda Alice Fletcher, 89, Tulsa, formerly of Afton, died at 7:35 a.m. Friday, Jan. 23, 1998, at St. Francis Hospital, Tulsa, after an illness.
Mrs. Fletcher was born Dec. 23, 1908, at Fairland.
She lived in Afton from 1952 to 1994, when she moved to a Tulsa nursing home.
She worked as a caregiver for the Department of Human Services, a voter registrar and a baby-sitter.
She also worked at the Avon Tourist Court, Buffalo Ranch and Afton Hospital.
She was a member of Afton First United Methodist Church.
Her first husband, Fred Henry Hemancq, died in 1958. Her second husband, George Fletcher, died in 1983.
Survivors include two daughters, Lilah Heman Russell and Faye Heman Ready, both of Tulsa; a stepson, Lester Heman, Hermiston, Ore.; two sisters, Erthie Myers, rural Fairland, and Martha Walker Williams, Miami; five grandchildren and three great-grand-children.
Arrangements are pending with Guilford-Thomas Funeral Home.
Patricia Hale
GROVE, Okla. _ Patricia Hale, 64, Grove, died at 9:48 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 22, 1998, at her home after a long illness.
Mrs. Hale was born April 1, 1933, at Marshall, Minn.
She moved to Arkansas City, Kan.
She graduated from Arkansas City High School in 1951.
She moved to Grove in 1984 from Arkansas City.
She worked for DiVall Retail Liquor Store, Arkansas City, for ten years.
She was a member of the Ladies' Auxiliary of the VFW, DAV, and the American Legion.
She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She was an Episcopalian.
She married Clarence Richard Devereux on April 9, 1955, at New Kirk.
He died in 1975.
She married Arthur Hale on Feb. 14, 1980, at Arkansas City.
He survives.
Additional survivors include four sons, Richard Emery, Atlanta, Ga., Robert Emery, Parsons, Kan., David Devereux, Denver, Colo., and Darin Devereux, Arkansas City; and seven grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Arkansas City, with the Rev. Bill Fulton officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hinderliter-Woodard Funeral Service, Grove.
Hattie Migis
GROVE, Okla. _ Hattie Louise Migis, 91, Grove, died Thursday, Jan. 22, 1998, at a Grove nursing home after a short illness.
Mrs. Migis was born June 19, 1906, at Sioux City, Iowa.
She was a homemaker and a Presbyterian.
She married Joseph P. Migis on July 20, 1928, at Elk Point, S.D.
He died June 27, 1964.
Survivors include a son, Ronald Paul Migis, Grove; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Logan Cemetery, Sioux City, Iowa.
Visitation will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove.
Contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice or the American Cancer Society, in care of the funeral home.
Ruby Byrd
GROVE, Okla. - Ruby Pearl Byrd, 52, Grove, died at 10:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 5, 1997, at St. John's Regional Medical Center, Joplin, Mo., after a long illness.
Mrs. Byrd was born Sept. 14, 1944, at Maysville, Ark.
She moved to Grove in 1989.
She was a homemaker.
She married Jimmy Byrd on Oct. 31, 1989, at Charleston, S.C.
He survives.
Additional survivors include a son, Mark A. Garrett, Siloam Springs, Ark.; three brothers, Melvin Morgan, Jay, Johnny Morgan, Sacramento, Calif., and Leonard Morgan, Eucha; a sister, Georgia Duvall, Grove; a grandchild; and a niece, Teresa Morgan, whom she raised, of the home.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Eucha Cemetery, near Jay.
The Rev. Gary Bishop will officiate.
