Tommie Simmons
MIAMI, Okla. - Tommie Lee Simmons, 61, 1226 Skyline Drive, died at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17, 1996, at his home after an illness.
Mr. Simmons was born Nov. 30, 1935, at Picher.
He moved to Miami 15 years ago from North Miami.
He was a major in the Army Reserve.
He received citations from the 90th Regional Command and 319th Support Battalion for service in the Army Reserve from 1967 to 1996.
He was co-owner of Dan Hensley Sales and Service in Miami for 35 years.
He also had worked for the federal government as supervisor of supervisory personal administrators in Norman, Bartlesville and Fort Smith, Ark.
Survivors include two sisters, Marji Grayson and Billie Johnson, both of Miami.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Paul Thomas Funeral Home, Miami.
The Rev. Noel Doherty will officiate.
Burial will be in GAR Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Thames, Bill Edwards, Russell Ellis, Gary Burkholder, Gene Philpott and Larry Keen.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Contributions may be made to St. John's Hospice at Grove or All Saints Episcopal Church in Miami.
Ronald Dry
FAIRLAND, Okla. - Services for Ronald Lee Dry, 68, Merritt Island, Fla., formerly of Fairland, who died Saturday, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Cooper-Althouse Funeral Home, Miami.
Jappie Robertson will officiate.
Burial will be in Ottawa Indian Cemetery, east of Miami.
Pallbearers will be Bob May, Frank Munoz, Charles Venis, Earl Goodman, Dick Dill and David Jackson.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Contributions may be made to Brevard Hospice or to the Midget Football Program on Merritt Island, Fla., in care of the funeral home.
Alberta Hamilton
MIAMI, Okla. - Services for Alberta Flora Hamilton, 90, 2128 Denver Harner Drive, who died Monday, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church, Miami.
The Rev. Charles Horton will officiate.
Burial will be in GAR Cemetery, Miami.
Pallbearers will be Mark Womack, Mark Womack Jr., Bill Cameron, Jerry Jones, Tom Berry and Doug Tunnell.
The family will be at the home of Laura Jones, 320 11th Place N.E.

Donald Hoots
MIAMI, Okla. - Donald L. Hoots, 55, 1100 E. Northeast, died at 1:54 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17, 1996, at Baptist Regional Health Center, Miami, after a long illness.
Mr. Hoots was born Aug. 7, 1941, in Wyandotte, Mich.
He moved to Miami in August 1989 from Lamar, Colo.
He was graduated in 1959 from Wyandotte Mission High School.
He was a heavy equipment operator in Colorado until ill heath forced him to retire.
He was a member of Harvest Time Ministries, Miami.
Survivors include two sons, Dale Hoots, Gunnison, Colo., and David Hoots, Miami; a daughter, Rebecca Angelo, Gardner, Kan.; a sister, Beverly McBride, Wyandotte; and eight grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Cooper-Althouse Funeral Home, Miami.
Burial will be in Glenn Abbey Memorial Gardens, east of Miami.
The family will receive friends from 8 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
They will be at the home of Carol Hoots, Miami.
Contributions may be made to the Youth Department in the Harvest Time Ministries, or to Gideon's Foundation, in care of the funeral home.
William Jackson
GROVE, Okla. - William J. Jackson, 73, Grove, died at 4 p.m. Monday, Dec. 16, 1996, at his home after a sudden illness.
Mr. Jackson was born Oct. 26, 1923, at North Miami, Okla.
He made his career in the Air Force and retired in 1968 as a technical sergeant.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Moose Lodge, both of Grove.
He married Kathryn Park in 1944 at Columbus, Mo.
She survives.
Additional survivors include a daughter, Cynthin Bennett, Maineville, Ohio; two sons, Michael Jackson, San Jose, Calif., and David Jackson, Purdy, Mo.; two sisters, Marguerite Warner, Miami, and Nadine Corbus, Portland, Ore.; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
The body will be cremated.
Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Chapel, Grove.
Dale Bennett, pastor, will officiate.
Contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Grove, in care of the funeral home.
