EDMOND — Services for Mary Alice O’Dell, 74, Edmond, were 2 p.m. Aug. 1, at First Baptist Church, Edmond.
Mrs. O’Dell died July 29, 2005. She was born June 6, 1931, at Muskogee County, to John Luther and Ida Crews. She received most of her education in Chandler, initially at a one-room schoolhouse called Pleasant Ridge. In sixth grade she was promoted to the eighth grade, which later sent her to college a year earlier than scheduled. She graduated from Chandler High School in 1948; spent her first year of college at Oklahoma Baptist University, where she majored in art; and transferred to Central State College in 1949, to pursue a degree in elementary education. She married Faye O’Dell July 14, 1950, at Wichita Falls, Texas.
Mrs. O’Dell was active in her local church and occasionally was a substitute teacher at local schools.
She was preceded in death by one infant son, Johnny Bob; her parents; and one brother, Ray Crews.
Survivors include her husband; one son, John O’Dell and wife Vicki, Edmond; two daughters, Susan Conway and husband Jim, Edmond, and Shannon Greenhaw and husband Joe, Shawnee Mission, Kan.; two sisters, Joy Chandler and Thelma Jeffries; two brothers, Bill Crews and wife Norma, and Jim Crews and wife Hallie; one sister-in-law, Barbara Lowe; one brother-in-law, Jack O’Dell and wife Lynn; ten grandchildren, Dusti Tignor and husband Lance, Angie Noles and husband Jade, Kelli O’Dell, Bo O’Dell, Jamie Conway, Ramsey Conway, John Conway, Reilly Greenhaw, Kathryn Greenhaw and Will Greenhaw; and three great-grandchildren, Gunnar Tignor, Sam Tignor and Dax Noles.

Mr. Carter died Aug. 1, 2005, at his home. He was born Nov. 30, 1953, at Ada, to Harold and Emma Holly Carter. He was a bricklayer and was affiliated with the Baptist Church.

The child died Saturday, July 30, 2005, at an Oklahoma City hospital. He was born Jan. 27, 1999, at Ada to Anthony Edward “Tony” and Tawana Kaye Phares Sexton. He lived in this area all his life and attended school at Glenwood.
Survivors include his father and stepmother, Tony and Cheryl Sexton, of the home; two sisters, Kacey Danielle Sexton and Ashleigh Reneé Sexton, of the home; grandparents, Ron and Ruth Sexton, Fittstown, Jack and Roylene Couey, Ada; grandfather, Dan Phares, Stonewall; great-grandmothers, Dena Sims, Ahloso, and Helen Phares, Coalgate; great-grandfather, Richard Sexton, Fittstown; an uncle, Warren Sexton, Las Vegas, Nev.; two aunts, Amanda Sexton, Ada, and Nicole Hargus, Stonewall.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Tawana Kay Sexton, and sister, Shania Maria Sexton, on May 31, 2001.

Mr. Jackson died July 16, 2005, at Oklahoma City. He was born May 7, 1947, at Duncan, to Henry J. and Christine Fellers Hankins.
He graduated from Ada High School and attended East Central University. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during Vietnam.
Survivors include a son, John Hankins, Newcastle; his mother, Christine Hankins, Oklahoma City; a brother, Steve Hankins, Torrance, Calif.; and two grandsons, Zachary and Shane.

Mr. Louie died July 26, 2005, at an Ada hospital. He was born July 10, 1962, at Seminole, to Cecil Ray Jackson and Cora Mae Louie. He graduated from New Lima High School in 1980, and attended Seminole Junior College for two years. He moved to Ada from Wewoka in 1989. He worked for Ward’s Construction for numerous years.
He married Donna Carrethers Nov. 23, 2002, at Ada.
He was preceded in death by his father; one sister, Chanelle Lee; and both of his grandfathers.

Mrs. McEuin died July 28, 2005, at Ada. She was born March 18, 1926, at Stratford, to John Stephen and Mabel Effie Laurent Bragg. She married Robert McEuin Nov. 27, 1942, at McDermitt, Nev. She was a homemaker and lived in the Stratford area for the past 60 years. She was a member of Galey Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; one son, Thomas Steven McEuin; eight brothers; and three sisters.
Survivors include three daughters, Ellen Jacques, Lake Lure, N.C., Janey Evans, Cottenwood, Ariz., and Robert White, Austin, Texas; one sister, Nadine Moody, Ashland, Ky.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

LAWTON — Services for E.L. Redman, 92, Lawton, formerly of Ada, are 2 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church of Stratford, the Rev. Marvin Knox officiating. Burial follows at Memorial Park Cemetery, Ada.
Mr. Redman died July 28, 2005, at Lawton. He was born Sept. 5, 1912, at Pauls Valley, to Elbert L. and Ethel Bennett Redman. He graduated from Aylesworth High School in 1932. He married Thelma Lucretia Wallace May 29, 1932, at Madill. He served in the U.S. Army in the Philippines during World War II. After the war, the family moved to Ada where he was employed by the Oklahoma State Highway Department. In 1965 the family moved to a farm east of Stratford, and owned and operated a grocery store before retiring. He was also in the cattle business until moving to Ada in 2002.
Mr. Redman was a member of the First Baptist Church of Stratford where he served as deacon, church training director, and usher. In March of 2005 he and his wife moved to a health care facility in Lawton.
Survivors include his wife; one son, Tommy Redman and wife Carol, Ada; two daughters, Pat Blackburn and husband Bill, Lawton, and Mary Emerson and husband Dean, Denton, Texas; eight grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Bearers are Ottie Smith, Don Morrison, Eldon Lee, Kenneth Keel, Connie Mercer and Travis Lambert.

Ms. Newberry died Thursday, July 28, 2005, at a Coalgate hospital. She was born July 8, 1960, at Buffalo to Jesse Newberry Sr. and Kay Cline Newberry. She lived in the Stonewall and Tupelo areas all her life. She graduated from Tupelo High School and attended East Central University.
She was employed at Pre-Paid Legal, then later with the Tupelo schools in the cafeteria. Ms. Newberry attended the Church of God.
Survivors include a son, Jonathan Newberry, Tupelo; her father, Jesse Newberry Sr., Tampa, Fla.; four brothers, Al Gatlin, Oklahoma City, Jesse Newberry Jr., Tampa, Fla., Rance Garrett and Joe Bob Garrett, both of Idaho; three sisters, Bridget Alm, Meeker, Vicki Stewart, McLoud, and Tonya Fatih, Tampa, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her mother, and a brother, Gordon Gatlin.
Bearers will be Harland Stonecipher, Allen Stonecipher, Paul Fortner, Kenny Fortner, Alan Fortner, and Earl Jones.
