EUREKA SPRINGS, Ark. — Services for Jack “J.D.” Moore, 83, Eureka Springs, were Saturday Oct. 15 at Walker Funeral Service Chapel, Shawnee, Okla., the Rev. Lewis Cox officiating. Burial followed at Resthaven Memorial Park.
Mr. Moore was born April 2, 1922, at Stratford, Okla., to Orba O. and Edith Elizabeth Duggan Moore.
He served in the Army during World War II. Later, he was a truck driver and farmer. He was a Baptist and member of American Legion Post 191 at Stratford.
He married Phyllis LaJoy Deaton Feb. 17, 1960, near Ada. She died Feb. 14, 2000. He was also preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Wilma Maxine Fry Moore; and a son, Kenneth Ray Moore.
Survivors include a son Gary Moore and his wife Kay, Norman; a daughter Linda McNair and husband James, Alpena; three grandsons, Jackie Cole, Jeff McNair and Jordan McNair; three granddaughters, Karen Adams, Heather Cox and Amy Davila; and three great-grandsons, Jack Adams, Dillon Adams and Spencer Albright.

ABILENE, Kan. — Services for Wynema Vesta Shelby, 87, Abilene, are 10:30 a.m. Monday on the Jim Shelby farm, located two miles east of Alex, Okla.
Mrs. Shelby died Oct. 13, 2005, at Abilene. She was born June 3, 1918, at Brice, Texas, to Luther and Elver Perry Hahn.
She married Leonard Shelby. He died in 1995.
Survivors include two sons, Jim Shelby, Bradley, and Dale Shelby, Livingston, La.; and a daughter, LaNelle Hancock, Peck.

He died Oct. 13, 2005. He was born July 11, 1945, at Dallas.
He was preceded in death by his parents Mary and Vincent Rosalez Sr. and a son Vincent Rosalez III.

TUPELO — Graveside services for Donald Andrew Cox, 50, Tupelo, are 3 p.m. Monday at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Francis, the Rev. Ed Rutherford officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. Sunday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mr. Cox died Oct. 13, 2005, at an Oklahoma City hospital. He was born Jan. 21, 1955, at Blyth, Calif., to Andrew Daniel Cox, Jr. and Cora Eva May Cox. He attended school at Tupelo.
Mr. Cox moved to this area in 1964 from Arizona. He married Beverly Ann Key Nov. 12, 1994. He was a heavy equipment operator and a member of the Tupelo Club. He served in the National Guard for eight years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Della Knighten.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly Cox, of the home; two daughters, Crystal Walkup and husband Ronnie, Tupelo, and Carla Gibson and husband Marvin, Coalgate; one son, Richard Hankins, Tupelo; a brother, Andrew Cox, III and wife Anita, Oklahoma City; two sisters, Cora Jackson and husband William, Ada, and Tina Cox, Oklahoma City; five granddaughters; and two grandsons.

Mr. Shores died Oct. 13, 2005, at a local hospital. He was born June 20, 1957, at Ada, to Donald and Wanda Gammons Shores. He lived in this area most of his life, attending school at Homer Elementary and graduating from Byng High School.
Mr. Shores was employed in the oilfield services.

Mrs. Fennell died Oct. 15, 2005, at a local hospital. She was born Oct. 10, 1947, at Ada. She worked at Blue Bell/Wrangler for 27 years.
She married Frank G. Fennell Oct. 10, 1976, at Ada.

ADA — Memorial services for Stanley Ewing Wills, 82, Ada, are 4 p.m. Sunday at the Rollow Chapel of the First United Methodist Church, Dr. George Warren officiating.
Mr. Wills died Oct.13, 2005, at a local hospital. He was born Nov. 7, 1922, at Monta Vista, Colo., to Silas and Anna Dolan Wills. He grew up in the San Luis Valley and also attended school at Hooper, Colo. He served as a first sergeant in the Philippines during World War II and following the war he completed his bachelor’s and master’s degree at Adams State College, Alamosa, Colo. He spent more than 60 years contributing to education in both public school and college administration. While completing his doctorate at the University of Northern Colorado, Greely, he worked at the University of Dacca to train administrators for the public system at Bangladesh. From 1963-1975 he was professor of education, registrar and provost at Wayne State College, Wayne, Neb. In 1975 he moved to Victoria, Texas, to help open the University of Houston-Victoria campus and was professor of education there until his retirement in 2000.
He married Ruth Osborne May 30, 1947. They moved to Ada in July, 2005.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Wills, of the home; three daughters, Karen Kelton and husband Phil, Austin, Texas, Martha Pedersen, Ada, and Kristi Kennedy and husband Kevin, Radcliff, Ky.; two sons, Kyle Wills, Houston, Texas, and Sean Wills and wife Anna, State Road, N.C.; and eight grandchildren, Kevin Kelton, Erica Kelton Harris, Christina Kelton, John Pedersen, Steven Pedersen, Seth Wills, Aaron Nosich and Katherine Kennedy.

STONEWALL — Services for Joe R. Daniel, 84, Stonewall, are 2 p.m. Tuesday at Stonewall First Baptist Church, the Revs. Ray Moffeit and Gary Jamar officiating. Burial follows at Highland Cemetery, Stonewall.
Mr. Daniel died Oct. 14, 2005, at a local hospital. He was born July 7, 1921, at Stonewall, to Leonard Thomas and Alma Rose Daniel. He was a farmer and rancher in the Frisco area and worked in the oilfield. He served in World War II in the European Theatre for three years and was very proud to have served his country.
He married Reba Minor uly 25, 1951.
Survivors include his wife, Reba, of the home; two daughters, Vickie King and husband Dwight, Marietta, and Valerie Daniel, Chickasha; a son, Mickey Daniel, Granbury, Texas; a sister, Dixie Ingram, Norman; two grandsons, Craig King and wife Addy, Senatobia, Miss.; and Chad King and wife Jessica, Ada; two great-granddaughters, Kennedy and Carley King; one niece; and six nephews.
Bearers are his nephews, Leonard Daniel, Johnny Daniel, Pat Daniel, Jackie Daniel, Thomas Ingram and Lee Sweat.
