GREENWOOD, Ark. — Services for Nora Plank, 90, Greenwood, are 10 a.m. Monday at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel, Greenwood, the Rev. Eddie Wilson officiating. Burial is 3 p.m. at Rosedale Cemetery, Ada, Okla. Visitation is 1-9 p.m. Sunday at McConnell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Plank died Oct. 13, 2005, at Greenwood. She was born Aug. 20, 1915, near Millersburg, Ohio, to John and Benah Troyer. She worked many years at Meadowlark Homestead and the Corner Lunch, Newton, Kan. She married Levi J. Plank Dec. 2, 1937. He died in 1994. Mrs. Plank was a member of Harvest Time Tabernacle and served as part of the CARE sight group.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband.
Survivors include one daughter, Mary Tucker and husband Tracy, Greenwood; one son, Roger Plank and wife Mabel, McKenzie, Tenn.; two grandsons, Laverne and Eric Plank, Jackson, Tenn.; four granddaughters, Shannon Buckelew, Greenwood, Hidie Loyer, Fort Smith, Ark., and Cassy Tucker, Memphis, Tenn; four great-grandchildren, Justice, Faith, Kristin and Grace; and numerous other friends and family.

Mrs. Vandergrift died Oct. 13, 2005, at Mustang. She was born Nov. 9, 1947, at Brownsville, Texas, to G.B. and Opal Moore West. She lived in Ripley, Tenn., as a child and later moved to Memphis, Tenn., where she attended Memphis Tech High School. She lived most of her adult life at Memphis, and moved to Mustang in 1984. She worked for the Memphis Park Department and in the cafeteria at Putnam City Schools, Oklahoma City.
Survivors include her husband James, of the home; two sons, Terry Vandergrift and wife Jennifer, Ada, and James Linden Vandergrift Jr., Mustang; one daughter, Melisa Cuthrell and husband Robbie, New Bern, N.C.; five grandchildren; two sisters, Patsy Thompson, Memphis, and Rachel Williams, Mustang; a host of nieces nephews and cousins; and special friends, Sherry Reynolds and Debbie Henshaw.

She grew up in Ada and attended East Central University, where she studied nursing. She was a homemaker. She moved to Bridge Creek.
Survivors include a son, Eric, Oklahoma City; a daughter, Amanda Hancok, Mantel, N.C.; a brother, George Jones, Washington, D.C.; two grandchildren, John Hancock and Morgan Scott; and many other relatives and friends.

Mr. Long died Oct. 13, 2005, at an Allen nursing home. He was born Jan. 17, 1917, at Hermitage, Mo., to Albert Preston and Rosetta Morrow Long. He attended school at Hermitage, Moi.
Mr. Long married Maggie Lois Dodson April 23, 1935, at Davis. She died Dec. 18, 1993, at Oklahoma City. He later married Lorene Smith in 1999. Mr. Long served with the Civilian Conservation Corps. at the Turner Falls area and Conroe, Texas, in 1934-1935. He was a farmer and later, was a butcher in this area for many years until his retirement. Mr. Long attended Bethel Free Will Baptist Church at Allen.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Ada, Elsie and Mary; five brothers, Johnnie Long, Edward Long, Cecil Long, Alva Long and Roscoe Long.
Survivors include his wife, Lorene Long, of the home; one son, Dale E. Long and wife Violet, Allen; three step children, Charlene Echols and Wayne Reed, both of Atwood, and Judy Orr, Choctaw; three granddaughters, Pam Irwin and husband Danny, Purcell, Tammy Freeman and husband Joe, Houston, Texas, and Jessica Plunk and husband Bruce, Byng; three great-grandsons, Caleb Irwin, Clay Plunk and Ethan Freeman; and two great-granddaughters, Holly Irwin Sapp and Allie Plunk.

Mr. Stanford died Oct. 11, 2005. He was born Oct. 14, 1927. He was in the U.S. Navy. He was also employed by the Department of Public Safety from 1955-1957, a captain for the Mesquite Police Department, Mesquite, Texas, from 1957-1967, police chief of Stillwater Police Department, Stillwater, Okla. from 1967-1970, police chief of Galveston Police Department, Galveston, Okla., from 1970-1973, and police chief of Pearland Police Department, Pearland, from 1973-1989. After retiring, Mr. Stanford went to work for the First National Bank of Pearland. He was also a life member with the International Association of Chiefs of Police and a member of the Texas Chapter FBI National Academy.
Survivors include his wife, Mary M. Stanford, Pearland; one daughter, Vickye Gordon and husband Mike, Ada, Okla.; two sons, Rickye G. Stanford, Ada, and Mark G. Mr. McDonald died Oct. 10, 2005, at a local hospital. He was born Sept. 21, 1936, at Gove County, Kan. He later moved to Oklahoma in 1964.
He married Donis Yvonne Sutton June 19, 1965, at Ada. Mr. McDonald was employed with Brockway Glass Company for 25 years, and later was a Manager for Hudson’s Used Furniture until his retirement. He was formerly a Sunday School teacher and Deacon at the Master’s House and New Beginnings Churches, Stratford.
Survivors include his wife, Donis McDonald, of the home; two daughters, Kristi Clark and husband Trevor Clark Sr., Stratford, and Kerri McDonald, Ada; two grandsons, T. J. Clark and Jesse Clark; a cousin, James Cook, Wichita, Kans.; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Warren and Elwanda Kelso, Charles and Ruth Sutton, Paul and Rachel Sutton, Delton and LaHonda Sutton, Butch and Anita Sutton, all of Ada, and David and Kathleen Sutton, Moore; several nieces, nephews, great, and great-great-nieces and nephews.

ADA — Services for Jeannie Marie “Granny” Baker Thomason, 77, Ada, are 10 a.m. Saturday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Dan McLemore officiating. Burial follows at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mrs. Thomason died Oct. 9, 2005, at an Oklahoma City hospital. She was born May 30, 1928, on the Navajo Reservation, Torreon, New Mexico to Abel and Martha Charles Toledo. She attended boarding schools at Crownpoint, N.M., and Ignacio, Colo. She moved to the Ada area in 1967.
She married Charles Edmond Baker in 1950. He died in 1970. She later married Jimmy Thomason in 1973 at Ada. Mrs. Thomason was a home attendant for Susan Cason and Trigg Yerby for the past 20 years, and formerly she was employed in food service at East Central University, Oak Hills Country Club and Bob’s BBQ. Mrs. Thomason was a member of the Ada First Indian Baptist Church and a member of the Chickasaw Senior Citizens.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Louise Destea; a brother, Preston Toledo; and three grandsons, Joshua James Shaffer, Charles “Chuck” Baker and Kevin Johns.
Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Thomason, of the home; three daughters, Charlotte Johns and husband Jim, Lilli Youngblood and her husband Henryand Bonnie Baker, all of Ada; two sons, Charles “Kato” Baker, Grants, N.M., and Preston Baker, Ada; three brothers, William Toledo, Farmington, N.M., George Toledo, Oklahoma City, and Raymond Toledo, N.M.; one sister, Amalia Toledo, Oklahoma City; twelve grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bearers are her grandsons, John Charles Cannady, Rusty Youngblood, and James Street, Jim Johns, Henry Youngblood and Doyle Baker. Honorary bearers are Bill Yerby, Denver Davidson, John Lucas and Wendell Pettigrew.
