KENDALVILLE, Ind. Memorial services for J.C. Bottoms Sr., 64, Kendalville, Ind., formerly of Ada, Okla., will be held at a later date at the home of his daughter, Cindy Deatherage, Ada, Okla. Mr. Bottoms died Saturday, Oct. 22, 2005, at a Kendalville nursing home.
He was born March 26, 1941, in Bixby, Okla., to Archie and Ruby Bottoms. He spent many years in California before moving back to Oklahoma. He lived in Ada for several years before moving to Indiana. Mr. Bottoms was a home builder and he was of the Baptist faith.
He married Jerris Hovis on May 3, 1999.
Survivors include his wife, Jerris Bottoms, of the home; three daughters, Cindy Deatherage and her husband Monte, Ada and Jennifer Harrington, Indiana, and Gina Brown Paradez, Okla.; three sons, J.C. Bottoms Jr., Roff, Jason Harrington, Oklahoma, and Jonathan Bottoms, Avon Park, Fla.; two step-daughters, Kathy Zaragoza, Indiana, and Jennifer Donnell, South Carolina; eight grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one sister, Jeannie Williams, Indiana; several nieces and nephews; and a very close friend, Rick Lyles, Tulsa, Okla.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Archie Bottoms and Ruby White, two sisters, Pearl Cherry and Annie Nichols, and two step-sons, Robert Louise Standon in 1969 and Curtis Ray Standon on Jan. 3, 2005.

KONAWA Services for Jack V. Watts, 84, Konawa, are 2 p.m. Monday at Pickard-Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Charley Henthorn officiating. Burial follows at Konawa Cemetery.
Mr. Watts died Oct. 19, 2005, at his home. He was born July 22, 1921, at Rock Creek to Marvin Thomas and Kitty Robbins Watts.
He was educated at Rock Creek, Shawnee and Earlsboro schools. He served with the Civilian Conservation Corps and U.S. Navy, achieving the rank of second class aviation machinist mate.
He married Evelyn Loraine Daniels Dec. 30, 1944. She died Nov. 27, 1994.
In 1946, upon completion of his military duties, he moved to Konawa where he was employed by the Konawa Peanut Company. In 1954, Mr. Watts purchased a well servicing machine and operated it for many years. He later purchased oil wells and operated them for himself. In 1983, Mr. Watts retired from pumping oil wells.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Watts; his parents, Marvin and Kitty Watts; three brothers, Roland, Earl and Victor Watts; four sisters, Irene Patterson, Mildred Patterson, Hazel Bohannon, Christine Cranefield; and a daughter-in-law, Carolyn Watts.
Survivors include a son, James Watts, Konawa; a grandson, Richard Howsmon and his wife Tammy, Ingleside, Texas; a granddaughter, Jeanne Bicknell and her husband Terry, Savannah, Ga.; three great-grandchildren; Alexandra, Errol and Kyndrick Howsmon; a special friend, Mozelle Duncan and her daughter, LaWanda Tanner, and close family friend, Kathy Kelly and her family.
The family asks that donations be made in Mr. Watts memory to Konawa Nutrition Center, 426 E. 1st Street, Konawa, OK 74849.
