Funeral services for Seminole resident Lincoln Earl Jones, 20, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Swearingen Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Harjo family cemetery. Jones died Saturday, June 7, 2003, in Seminole after a traffic accident.

Funeral services for Kiley Gabrielle Kean, newborn daughter of Norman Kyle and Lori M. (Warrenburg) Kean of Seminole, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday at Grace Community Church. Ralph Jones and Drew Isaacs will officiate. Burial will follow in Little Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home. The baby was born and died Friday at Unity Health Center North in Shawnee. She weighed seven pounds four ounces and was 18 « inches long. Grandparents include Lonnie and Kim Kean and Sherry Warrenburg, all of Seminole, and Reid and Connie Warrenburg, McAlester. great-grandparents are Dean and Joe Booth of Norman and Nan Fowler of Seminole. great-great-grandmother is Alice Thrasher, Dale.
Lois Harjo
Funeral services for lifelong Seminole County resident, Lois Harjo, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at the Swearingen Funeral Chapel. She died June 6, 2003, at the age of 96, at the Seminole Medical Center. She was born on Feb. 7, 1907, in Konawa to Tony Harjo and Yanah “Grant” Harjo. She was a retired bookkeeper, a member of Achena Presbyterian Church, where she was the oldest member, she was the also the oldest member of the “Hvteyacukli” Band and the “Bear Claw”. Her parents; her brother, Elmer Harjo; and her sister, Fannie Harjo, preceded her in death. She is survived by one brother, Andrew Harjo, of Maud. Casket bearers are Frank Kelly, Jr., Eugene Millen, Charles Sewell, Fannel Smith, Russell Coker and Walter Coker. Honorary Bearers are Danleve Smith, Velma Coker, Lorene Thorpe, Juliet Tiger and Samaria Harjo. Wake services are set for 6 p.m. Sunday at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating the service will be Rev. Kelly Tiger, Sr. Interment will follow at the Harjo Family Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Sue Perryman
Graveside services for former Seminole resident, Sue Perryman, were scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at the Little Cemetery. She died June 6, 2003, at the age of 56 at Unity North Hospital in Shawnee. She was born on February 9, 1947 in Seminole to Lorene Vaughn Burkhart. She was married to James R. Perryman on June 3, 1963 in Van Buren, Ark., who preceded her in death. She moved to Shawnee six years ago. She was a church nursery worker. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lorene Burkhart and her husband, James R. Perryman on March 11, 1997. She is survived by her son, Kenneth Perryman of Earlsboro; her daughter, Ronda R. Perryman of Shawnee; one sister, Louise Burkhart of Cedarville, Ark; and two grandchildren.
Vera Mae Dorothy Baser
Graveside services for Seminole resident, Vera Mae Dorothy Baser, are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday, at the Little Cemetery of Seminole. She died June 5, 2003, at the age of 80, in the Seminole Estates Nursing Home. She was born May 19, 1923, In Dewey to George A. and Nora Love (Hinkle) Mitchell. She was retired from small business administration for government. Her parents; one sister, Ruth Garrett; one brother, Arthur Mitchell; and one grandson, Chris Baser, preceded her in death in 1990. She is survived by her spouse and father of her children, James Baser of Cromwell; one son, Darrell Baser of Balch Springs, Texas; one daughter Carolyn Kernal of Seminole; one brother, Virgil Mitchell of Skiatook; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Officiating the services will be Shawn Crawley. Interment will follow at Little Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole.
Phillip Lester Hutchinson
Funeral services for Wewoka resident, Phillip Lester Hutchinson, are scheduled for Monday at 11 p.m. at St. Paul Baptist Church in Wewoka. He died June 2, 2003, at the age of 23, in Unity North Hospital of Shawnee. He was born Aug. 16, 1979, in Oklahoma City to the late Richard Howard Hutchinson and Irene (Howard) Hutchinson. He lived in Wewoka, attended Wewoka Elementary School and played elementary football in Wewoka. He moved to Norman in 1989 and attended jr. high school at Irving Middle School. He also attended Norman High School finishing the 11th grade. He was a former member of St. Paul Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, George and Albert. Survivors include his stepmother, Loretta Hutchinson of Wewoka; one daughter, Jerika Hutchinson of Norman; brothers, Richard Phillips, Jr. of Phoenix, Ariz., Glen, Kenneth, Ronnie, John, Gregory and David Phillips, all of Los Angeles, Calif., Tony Warrior of Wewoka, George Bryant Hutchinson of Norman and Ray Warrior of Ada; sisters, Jeanette Phillips Raily, Della Phillips, Diane Phillips and Cassandra Scott, all of Los Angeles, Calif.; Sohilia Nicole Hutchinson and Cora Jean Warrior of Wewoka; and Calvaline Williams of Ada. Officiating pastor will be Rev. Reginald V. Woods. Interment will follow at Westwood Cemetery in Wewoka under the direction of Myers Mortuary of Wewoka.
Andrew Jackson Harper
Funeral services for Seminole County resident, Andrew “Jay” Jackson Harper, are scheduled for 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Pickard-Swearingen Funeral Chapel in Konawa. He died on June 4, 2003, at the Harrah Nursing Center, at the age of 73. He was born on Aug. 12, 1929, in Konawa, to Ruben Harper and Allie Nora (Blackwood) Harper. He married Joyce Laverne Gilbert on Oct. 4, 1951 in Oklahoma City. He was a gunsmith for 35 years for Mashburn Arms in Oklahoma City, retiring on Aug. 12, 1994, his 65th birthday. He was a past VFW member; belonged to the Rifleman’s Association, received his master gardener from OSU and received his high school di0ploma in December of 2002 in Shawnee. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruben and Allie Harper. He is survived by his wife, Joyce L. Harper, of the home; two sons, Gary J. Harper of Choctaw and Tony Harper of Charlotte, N.C.; three brothers, Bill Harper of Columbia, S.C., Richard Harper and Steve Chaney, both of Oklahoma City; one sister, Dolores Taliaferro of Norman; six grandchildren; two step-grand children; and two great grandchildren. Officiating the service will be Bro. Randy Jordan. Interment will be at the Vamoosa Cemetery under the direc tion of Pickard-Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa.
Mandy Lee Hyatt
Funeral services for Mandy Lee Hyatt, sister of Seminole resident, Velma Brumley, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday in the Chapel of Little Cemetery in Seminole. She died on June 5, 2003, at the age of 90, in Stillwater. She was born May 6, 1913 in Seminole County to James Henry and Minnie (Carrigan) Estep. She was married to Floyd Mike Hyatt, who died on May 9, 1980. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother as well as a special friend to many. She loved her large family and her friends throughout her life. She enjoyed fishing, giving garage sales, canning, sewing, country music and making a summer garden. She also enjoyed cooking for her children and grandchildren. She recently celebrated her 90th birthday at the Westhaven Nursing Home in Stillwater, where she enjoyed being a resident for the past year and a half. Her parents, three brothers, four sisters, three sons, one daughter, two grandchildren and two great grandchildren preceded her in death. She is survived by two sons, Glen Hyatt and Carl Hyatt, both of Perry; five daughters, Pearl Turner of Edmond, Marie Barber and Wanda Williams, both of Stillwater, Pauline Gottfried and Evelyn Thornbrue, both of Perry; one brother, Rev. Andrew Estep of Wewoka; one sister, Velma Brumley of Seminole; 21 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; and numerous great-great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Church of the Nazarene of Perry in care of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home.
Raymond Cooper
Funeral services for longtime Seminole resident, Raymond Cooper are scheduled for Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at the Maxey Funeral Chapel, located at 643 3rd St. in Paris, Texas. He died on June 3, 2003 at the Hospital in Paris, Texas. He had lived and worked in Seminole for over 40 years. He was a long time employee of Mr. William’s Service Station in Seminole. He leaves tocherish his memory, one stepson, Bob Curry; two sons, Ricky and Maurice Cooper; two daughters, Evone and Elaine Cooper; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He also leaves five sisters and four brothers who live in Paris, Texas.
Helen Graham
Funeral services for Seminole County resident, Helen M. Graham, are scheduled for 11 a.m. on June 7 at the St. Paul Baptist Church in Wewoka. She passed away on June 1, 2003, at the age of 55. She was born on Dec. 1, 1947 to Leonard and Odessa Brooks. She was a devoted and active member of St. Paul Baptist Church. She served in numerous capacities such as Usher, Deaconess, Missionary, Youth Choir Director, church secretary, and treasurer and was not ashamed to partake in the testimony and the workings of Jesus Christ. Outside of her church community, she was a faithful and devoted member of the Vernon C. Brooks, #146, Order of Eastern Star, serving as local secretary. She later became Worthy Matron of Florence Johnson, # 85 of New Lima and was soon elected as Ancient Matron of Christine Hillman Court, #82 of Wewoka. She was preceded in death by her brother, Thurman Biscoe; her father, Leonard Brooks; her mother, Odessa Biscoe. She is survived by her stepfather, Joseph A. Biscoe of Tyler, Texas; two sisters, Josephine Willow and Henrietta Ward of Tyler, Texas; a brother, Andrew Biscoe of Arlington, Texas; two sons, Michael D. Bailey of Shreveport, La. and Billy Tip Graham, Jr. of Norman; two stepsons, Richard L. Graham, Sr. of Killeen, Texas and Russell L. Graham of Oklahoma City; nine grandchildren; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, relatives and gracious friends. Loel T. Bryan
Graveside services for former Seminole resident, Loel Terry Bryan, were held on June 3 at Fort Lincoln Cemetery in Bladensburg, Md. She died on May 31, 2003 at the age of 91 in Winchester, Va. She was born March 26, 1912 in Vidette, Ark. to Perry Kay and Sarah Alice Smith Grisso. She was owner of Arden’s Childrenswear, retiring in 1968. She was a member of Bowlegs United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. She was an avid quilter and active in numerous quilting clubs and circles. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Walter Ervin Terry, and her second husband, Daniel Joseph Bryan. She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Terry McKeown of Winchester, Va. and Kay Terry Jaeschke of Deale, Md.; one son, Gerald Donald Tery of Sarasota, Fla.; a brother, Lloyd Wesley Grisso of Moab, Utah; six grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Carl Neeley Funeral services for Carl C. Neeley, a resident of the Konawa/Asher area, were held Tuesday, June 3, 2003 at the First Baptist Church in Asher. Rev. Dewayne Johnson officiated the services. A graveside service followed at the Spring Hill Cemetery, southeast of Poteau, under the direction of Pickard-Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa. Neeley died Sunday, June 1, 2003 at Seminole Medical Center at the age of 82. He was born to George Henry Neeley and Rose Pearl (Clopton) Neeley on May 4, 1921 in Monroe. Neeley married Liddie Marie Tate in 1944 in Poteau, she preceded him in death in 1982. He later married Betty Treat, she preceded him in death in 1991. Neeley moved to the Asher area in 1979, and was a retired exterminator. He also sold produce in many communities around the Asher area, becoming known as “Mr. Neeley the Vegetable Man.” Neeley was of Baptist Faith. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Liddie; his second wife, Betty Neeley; one daughter, Rosa Filpot in 1992; and several brothers and sisters. Neeley is survived by two sons, Carl H. Neeley, Asher, and Michael W. Neeley, Granite; one daughter, Shirley Anglin, Holdenville; one brother, Floyd Neeley, Anaheim, Calif.; one sister, Annie Rodgers of Idaho; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Daisy Campbell
Funeral services for Daisy Ellen (Vieweg) Campbell, grandmother of Seminole County residents, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Walker Funeral Service Chapel in Shawnee. Pastor Dwayne Bobbitt will officiate. Burial will follow at Little Cemetery, under the direction of Walker Funeral Home. Campbell died Sunday, June 1, 2003 at her home at the age of 86. She was born to Albert Emmanual Walter Vieweg and Mary Ellen (Payton) Vieweg on April 14, 1917 in Minco. Campbell attended and graduated from El Reno Schools. She lived in El Reno and moved to Shawnee in October of 1949. She married Claud Allen Campbell on Dec. 21, 1935 in Duncan. Campbell was a homemaker, and was a member of the Hilltop Assembly of God Chapel, east of Shawnee. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Claud, on Oct. 23, 2002; two children, and infant daughter Claudine Campbell, and a son Harvey Campbell; and eight brothers and sisters. Campbell is survived by four children, Flo Crouch, El Reno, Junior Lee Campbell, Tecumseh, Marian Kinslow, Tecumseh, and Billy Campbell, Shawnee; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the Hilltop Assembly of God Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 21, Earlsboro, OK.
Sheryl Harvey
Funeral services for Sheryl Sue (Gerlach) Harvey, a former copy and layout editor with the Daily Oklahoman, are scheduled for 2 p.m. on Monday in the Epworth United Methodist Church in Chickasha. Rev. Guy Langston will officiate. Interment will follow at the Fairlawn Cemetery in Chickasha, under the direction of McRay Funeral Home of Chickasha. Sheri passed away at her home in Brighton, Colo., at the age of 46. She was born Dec. 17, 1956 in Tulsa, the third child and second daughter of Bobbie Jean and Stanley Gerlach. She graduated from Chickasha High School in 1975. In 1980, she graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a B.A. Degree in Journalism. Sheri belonged to the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority and played on the OU women’s golf team. She worked as a copy and layout editor at the Daily Oklahoman until her marriage in 1982, at which time she moved to New Orleans and worked on the news desk at the Times-Picayune newspaper. In 1986, she moved to San Antonio, Texas, and continued her newspaper career. Sheri covered golf and wrote a twice weekly golf column for the Express-News newspaper. Shortly after her son was born in 1988, Sheri and her family moved to Denver, Colo., where she worked at the Denver post and the Rocky Mountain News. Sheri was preceded in death by her parents, Bobbie Jean and Stanley Gerlach; and grandparents, Wilma and Haskell Bethurum and Nell Gerlach. She is survived by her husband, Harvey and one son, Craig Paul Harvey, both of Brighton, Colo.; one sister, Gayle and her husband Robert Stewart, Spicewood, Texas; one brother, Craig Gerlach, Fairbanks, Alaska; one nephew, Connor Gerlach, Fairbanks, Alaska; and numerous other family and friends.
Leon Tracy
Funeral services for Seminole resident Leon Clyde Tracy are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday at the Barnes & Johnson Funeral Home Chapel in Midwest City. Interment will follow at the Chapel Hill Cemetery in Oklahoma City, under the direction of Barnes & Johnson Funeral Home. Tracy died Thursday, May 29, 2003 at the age of 79. He was born to Orpha and Mary Tracy on Nov. 20, 1923 in Cushing. Tracy was a veteran, serving during World War II. He is survived by his wife, Audrey, of the home; one son, Fred, of Luther; and numerous other relatives and friends.
