It was never too cold, too hot, too far, now was he ever too busy to take someone to the hospital, go mow a yard, go to the grocery store, go run an errand for his wife, or just go over and be a friend for a little while, giving comfort through the scripture. He was truly a people person, always trying to enter the word of God into his conversation, for he truly loved the Lord, accepting Him some 40 years ago as his personal savior. In the 55 years of marriage to his wife, Betty, they were apart only two weeks one year when he went away to Kansas to the wheat harvest fields. He always had time to stop and shake hands or give an uplifting thought. Our family could see his health and strength beginning to wane; knowing now the Lord was preparing our hearts for the time of the morning of June 14. We all loved him very much and will surely miss him physically but can look forward to seeing him again in Heaven.
