Ima Jean Thomas Curtis, 77, died at Shawnee Regional Hospital on Monday.
Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Thursday at Romulus Baptist Church. Darrell Witten and Norman Kiker will officiate. Burial will take place at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Knight Funeral Home in Maud.
Curtis was born in Okmulgee on April 28, l920 to Curtis Peavler and Laura (Hall) Peavler. She moved to the Macomb area as a small child and lived there until 1977 when she moved to Shawnee. She then moved back to the Macomb area three years ago.
She was the owner and operator of Thomas Dairy Ranch. She retired in the early l980s and was employed by Colonial Estates and Sunset Estates care centers.
She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary and attended a non-denominational church.
Curtis was preceded in death by her first husband Leonard Thomas, who died in l975; her parents, three brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by her husband, Harvey Curtis of the home, one son, Gary Thomas of Macomb; one daughter, Mary Jo Hargus of Asher; four stepchildren, Mike Curtis of Rio Linda, Calif.; Robert and Richard Curtis of Sacramento; and Vickie McViar of Carmichael, Calif.
Other survivors include one brother, Joe Peavler of Maud; one sister, Betty Schlehuber of Moore; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Everett Doren Dobbs
Everett D. Dobbs, 91, died of natural causes on June 17, 1997. Services will be held Monday. In the Chapel of Yanda & Son Funeral Home, 1500 W. Vandament, Yukon. The deceased grandson David Forgety, Seminole, will officiate.
Graveside services will be held at Carney Cemetery at 4 p.m. under the direction of Yanda & Son Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Richard Dobbs of Overland Park, Kan., Stephen Dobbs, San Antonio, Texas, Larry McAdoo, McGregor, Texas, Matt Seward, Oklahoma City, Tim Paxton, Newcastle and Ted McIlwain, Yukon.
Dobbs was born July 10, 1905 near Tyron, in Lincoln County to Amos and Jenny Dobbs.
He married Ada Faye Osborn in Chandler on Dec. 22, 1927. They had three children; his wife preceded him in death on Oct. 28, 1986.
Dobbs was a farmer near Tyron until May of 1939. He moved to Seminole and was a machinist for Eureka Took Company and Mick Tool Company until he retired in 1972.
After retirement he was an avid golfer at the Seminole Public Golf Course and a member of the Church of God in Seminole.
In 1991 he moved to the Baptist Retirement Center in Oklahoma. He was in hospitals and nursing homes for the past 14 months.
Dobbs is survived by his three children, Leon and Virginia Dobbs, McGregor, Texas, Lorna and Max Prewitt, Oklahoma City and Sue Robison, Yukon; eight grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

Marylee Douthit
Graveside services for Marylee Douthit, 63, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at the Wolf Cemetery. Rev. Robert Millsap will officiate.
Interment is under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
She died Thursday in Eufaula.
A Shawnee resident, Douthit had lived most of her life in the Seminole area. She lived in Bowlegs for 26 years before moving to Shawnee.
She was born on June 15, 1933 in Seminole to Theodore "Ted" R. Price and Mary E. (Coggin) Price.
On Sept. 2, 1949, she married Jim Riley Douthit Sr., in Lindsay; he survives her of the home.
Douthit was an income tax preparer and a member of the Victory Tabernacle, Shawnee. She was also a member of the Communications Worker Union, the AFL-CIO Ladies’ Auxiliary and the P.T.A.
Douthit was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
Other survivors are two sons, Jim R. Douthit Jr., Oklahoma City, and Steven W. Douthit, Bloomfield, NM; one daughter, Mary Beth Paulk, Shawnee; one brother, Ted Price Jr., Maysville, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Casket bearers will be Paul Hobia, Eric Douthit, Riley Wade Douthit, Joshua Gandy Douthit, Gene Bellows and James Zientek.
Honorary casket bearers will be Steven Douthit Jr., Rickey Paulk, Dale Douthit, James Douthit, Mike Douthit, and Darrin Shulls.

Jim Downing
Funeral services for Jim Downing, 82, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at Swearingen Funeral Chapel.
Rev. Roger Brewer will officiate. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
Downing died Sunday at Carl Albert Hospital, Ada.
He was born Oct. 2, 1914, in Muskogee, to Benjamin and Josephine (Tucker) Downing. He lived most of his life in Seminole.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1941 to 1945 in Company A 328th Medical Battalion. He was a staff sergeant during World War II.
For 22 years he worked for O.L. Harvey Trucking. He was a lieutenant with Seminole Police Department for 11 years.
He was a member of First Church of God and a lifetime member of American Legion Post 204, where he was past commander.
He married Helen Slay on Oct. 11, 1945, in Ada; she survives him, of the home.
Other survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Glen and Mel Osburn, Oklahoma City; four daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Allen George, Oklahoma City, Cecilia and Bill Coker, Debbie and Scott Lewis and Terry and Richard Poulter, all of Seminole; two sisters, Ruby Smith and Bessie Jackson, both of Oklahoma City; and six grandchildren, Greg Osburn, Todd George, Jason Lewis, Jamie Downing, William Coker and Magan Coker.
He was preceded in death by one brother and several sisters.
Pallbearers will include Louis Chase, Oartie Anderson, Denny Evans, Gene Knight, Tom Springer and Todd Vesely.
Members of American Legion Post 204 will serve as honorary casketbearers.
Military graveside rites will be provided by VFW Post 11194 Desert Storm, Konawa; and Oklahoma City Chapter 85 Honor Guard.
Leah Dozier
Leah Noble Dozier, 92, of Seminole died Monday at a Shawnee hospital.
Funeral services are set for 1 p.m. Thursday at St. Luke’s Baptist Church in Spencer. Kenn West is officiating.
Burial will take place at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Spencer under the direction of Keller Funeral Home of Wewoka.
Dozier was born Jan. 1, l905 in Seminole County Indian Territory to Logan Noble and Susie Mills.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Dozier; one son, Billie Island and one brother, Tom Noble.
She was a member of St. Luke’s Baptist Church.

John Driver
John Driver, 76, former Seminole resident, died Wednesday in Kingwood, Texas.
Funeral services are pending with Swearingen Funeral Home.

Golda Duty
Funeral services for Golda Leona Duty, 85, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday at Cooper Funeral Chapel in Tecumseh.
Dwyane Dennis of Central Church of Christ will officiate, and burial will follow in Tecumseh Cemetery.
Duty died Wednesday in Shawnee.
She was born June 1, 1911 in Delta, Colo. to Curt and Lizzie Wells, and she attended Little Public Schools.
On Oct. 7, 1930, she married Frank Duty in Ada. He preceded her in death in May 1985.
She lived most of her life in Seminole, and had lived in Tecumseh since 1964, where she was a homemaker.
She also cooked at Nina’s Cafe in Tecumseh for two years and at Rainbow Cafe in Seminole for 15 years.
She was an active member of the Central Church of Christ in Shawnee.
Duty was preceded in death by four brothers, Elmer, John, Otis, and Harvey Wells, and two sisters, Gertie Grounds and Clara Stidham.
Survivors include two daughters, Nina Baylis of Tecumseh and Betty Ott of Shawnee; two grandsons, and four great-grandchildren.

Ethel Eberle
Funeral services for Ethel Eberle, 84, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at the Sasakwa Church of Christ.
Virgil Romine will officiate, and burial will follow at the Eberle Family Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Pickard Funeral Home in Konawa.
Eberle died Wednesday at Valley View Regional Hospital in Ada.
She was born Jan. 29, 1913 in Sasakwa to George and Clemmie Brown.
She married Otto Eberle in May of 1934. He precede her in death in April of 1992.
She worked as an income tax accountant and a seamstress, and she had lived in Sasakwa her entire life, where she was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sons, Claude Eberle of Smithville and Ted Eberle of Konawa; four daughters, Betty Parrett of Bartlesville, Barbara Moon of Sasakwa, Ramona Scott of Ada, and Laveda Head of Marshall, Va.; one sister, Mildred Parks of Santa Rosa, Calif., 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Cliff Eberle, Eddie Parrett, Doug Moon, Mike Scott, Doug Martin, Franky Eberle, and Bryan Eberle.

Dorothy Elliott
Funeral services for Dorothy Marie Peterman Elliott, 74, Maud resident, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hill Top Free Will Baptist Church, Wewoka. Rev. N.R.Smith will officiate.
Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the McLoud Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Elliott died Sunday in her home in Maud.
She was born August 8, 1922, in McLoud to Morris Dee Whittet and Eva May Munson Whittet.
Her first husband, Leonard "Shorty" Peterman, preceded her in death. She is also predeceased by her parents, one brother, Ralph Whittet, one sister, Alice Whittet and two granddaughters, Donna and Tracy Ashlock.
On April 28, 1974, she married Herman L. Elliott in Arizona.
She moved to Maud in 1981 from McLoud. She is a homemaker and a member of the Hill Top Free Will Baptist Church in Wewoka.
Survivors include her husband, Herman L. Elliott of the home, two sons, Leonard Wayne Peterman, McLoud and Herman Elliott, Salida; one daughter Mary Ruth Ashlock, Modesto, Calif., five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Casketbearers will be Hulon Mosley, J. C. Kinard, David Elliott, Tom Whittet, David Whittet and Larry Whittet.
Honorary casketbearers will be Ham Gaines and H. A. Elliott.
