Benjamin Gordon of Wewoka, 64, died in Oklahoma City on Saturday. Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday at Prairie Spring Baptist Church in Castle.
Interment will take place at Church Cemetery in Castle under the direction of Stout Funeral Home.
Gordon was born on Feb. 10, l933 in Okemah. He was raised in Okemah. He attended high school in Phoenix, Ariz. He served in the U. S. Army from l952-l955. He lived in Colorado for 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers and one sister.
Gordon is survived by his wife Pearl Gordon; one son, Anthony Gordon of Oklahoma City; four step-children, Dana Gittens, Wendy Newsom and Bianca Hudson of Denver and Lanardo Gittens of Pomona, Calif.
Other survivors include three sisters, Emma Gordon and Dorothy Carolina of Oklahoma City; and Dollie Carolina of Wewoka; and seven grandchildren
His nephews will serve as pallbearers and his nieces as flower bearers.

Bennie Grace
CROMWELL ¾ Funeral services for Bennie Grace, 71, are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church.
James E. Wigington will officiate. Burial will follow in Sand Creek Cemetery under the direction of Stout Funeral Home, Wewoka.
Grace died Tuesday at Shawnee Regional Hospital.
He was born June 22, 1925, in Bearden, where he was also reared. He lived in Texas and Missouri before settling in Cromwell in 1967.
He married Eva Lee Morris on Nov. 8, 1944; she survives him, of the home.
Other survivors include one son, Tommy Grace, Haddam, Kans.; two sisters, Dean Sikes and Ethel Watson, both of Viburnum, Mo.; and seven grandchildren
He was preceded in death by one son, Johnny Grace, on Dec. 5, 1993.

Edith Townsend Greenlee
Funeral services for Edith Townsend Greenlee, 88, were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Pickard Funeral Home.
Richard Winters officiated, and burial followed at Vista Cemetery.
Greenlee died Saturday at Valley View Regional Hospital.
She was born Oct. 31, 1908 in Konawa to Everett and Vertie Townsend.
She married Estal Greenlee, and he preceded her in death in 1993.
She was a homemaker and lived in the Konawa area all of her life.
Survivors include two brothers, Benton Townsend of Oklahoma City and Gene Townsend of Lindsay, and one sister, Margaret Allen of Lubbock, Tex.

Thelma Haddan
The death of local educator, Thelma M. Haddan former Seminole teacher, was just recently announced by her daughter; Haddan died in Westminster, Calif., on May 25.
Haddan was a native Oklahoman who taught at Roosevelt School during her residency.
She received a bachelor’s degree from Durant and her graduate degrees from the University of Oklahoma.
After leaving Seminole, Haddan taught the college in Chickasha and later served as assistant dean of students at the University of Oklahoma.
She is survived by her daughter, Merrell Ann Haddan of Westminster who related, "[Thelma Haddan] always remembered her students in Seminole as some of the best in the state. She was pleased to have been able to work with many of them again when they attended college in Norman."

William Haley
William Loyd Haley, 60, died Tuesday in Seminole. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Friday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Basil Keenan will officiate.
Burial will take place at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Seminole under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
A Rosary will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday at Swearingen Funeral Chapel.
Haley was born Aug. 28, 1936 in Harpster, Ohio, to John David Haley and Irene Bradshaw Haley. He married Sharon Kinsey on March 17, l973.
He was retired from the US Navy Mobile Construction Battalion #1 in Port Hueneme, Calif., in l985. He moved to Seminole in l990.
He is a member of Masonic Lodge of Salem, Ohio.
Haley was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Johnney Haley.
He is survived by his wife of the home; three sons and daughter-in- law, Ken and Francine Haley, William J. Haley of the home and William C. Haley; three daughters, Mary Beth Haley of the home, Cindy Haley and Sue Ann Haley of Marion, Calif.
Other survivors include five brothers, Bob Haley of Wilmington, N.C.; Gary Haley of Austin, Texas; Doug Haley of Marion, Ohio; Pat Haley of Virginia Beach, Va.; Jim Haley of Shelby, Ohio; one sister, Doretta O’Hara of Marion, Ohio; and three grandchildren, Kenneth Haley II, Alicia Haley and Emmanvelle Haley.
Casket bearers are Martin Anthony, Ken Haley (son), Bill J. Haley (son), Soney J. Kiser, Kenneth "Mickey" Haley (grandson) and Aaron Willoughby.
Honorary bearers are Thomas Willoughby and Paige Moore.

Frances Haney
Frances Bessie Haney, 79, died Wednesday at her home in Seminole.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at Hitchitee Methodist Church. Mike Harjo and Don Jones will officiate. Burial will take place at Hitchitee Church cemetery in Seminole under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
A wake service is set for 6 p.m. Friday night at the church. She will be moved to her home Thursday morning and transferred to the church on Friday morning.
Haney was born Feb. 18, 1918 to Evan Jim and Germaine (Phillips) Jim in Atoka. She was a full-blood Mississippi-Choctaw of the Bear Clan.
She moved to Seminole in l946 from Bentley. She married Vernon Haney Feb. 21, l949 at the Hitchitee Methodist Church in Seminole. She was a homemaker.
Haney was self-taught and could speak fluent Choctaw, Seminole and English languages. Her hobbies were quilting, gardening and crossword puzzles.
She was a member of Hitchitee Methodist Church and United Indian Methodist Conference. She taught Sunday School classes and loved gospel singing. She served as church pianist for many years.
She is survived by four sons, Aaron Dixon of Okemah, Evan, David and Joseph Haney of Seminole and one daughter, Eomi Harjo of Okmulgee.
Haney is also survived by one brother, Charles Simpson of McAlester; and one sister, Pearl Reese of Kiowa; and 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Casket bearers are David, Evan, Joseph, Daniel, and Sandy Haney; Victor Harjo. Honorary bearers are Charles W. Harjo, Norman Haney, Sr., Norman Haney, Jr., Michael Haney, Willie and Emmitt Jim and Joe Perkins.

Jessie Hart
Funeral services for Jessie Mildred Hart, 92, are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Church of Christ in Little.
Burial will follow in the Little Cemetery, and services are under the direction of Parks Funeral Home.
Hart died Wednesday in Shawnee.
She was born Dec. 19, 1904 in Hunt County, Texas to John and Madge McKelvey.
She graduated from East Central University and taught at Henryetta, Okfuskee and Prairie Valley Schools until she retired.
She was a teacher for 35 years.
She married Elza A. Hart in Henryetta on Dec. 1, 1933. He preceded her in death on Nov. 2, 1959.
Hart had made her home in Seminole County for the last 41 years, and she was a member of the Church of Christ at Little.
Hart is preceded in death by her son, John Hart in 1969, one sister, and one brother.
Survivors include a daughter, Margaret Finke of Seminole; a brother, John McKelvey of Newton, Kan.; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Allen Hensley
WEWOKA - Funeral services for Allen Dewayne (Bud) Hensley, 61, a Wewoka native, will held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Stout Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Charles Clary will officiate.
Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka under the direction of Stout Funeral Home.
Hensley died Wednesday.
He was born on Jan 13, 1936, in Wewoka.
Hensley lived in Arlington, Texas, for the past 20 years. He was self-employed as an environemntal plant maintenance contractor.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Melvin Hensley.
Hensley is survived by his mother, Gladys Crawford of Wewoka; daughters, Rhonda Self of Mansfield, Texas and Shawnette Hensley of Holdenville; brothers, Jack Hensley of Yoakum, Texas, and Jerry Hensley of Wewoka; and three grandchildren.
Edward Herber
Edward Herber, 85, died April 19 in Tyler, Texas. Funeral services were held in Tyler on Monday for the former Seminole resident.
Graveside services were conducted by Linda O’Neal; burial was under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home in Tyler.
Herber was born Oct. 25, l911 in Lipscomb, Texas. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II. He moved to Tyler in l971; prior to that he owned a service station in Seminole.
He was a member of the Baptist church.
Survivors include his wife, Nellie Herber of the home; son, Edward Fred Herber Jr. of Seminole; daughters, Joyce Rogers, Norman, Shirley Williams, Whitehouse, and Annette Denise James of Tyler; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers were Gene Williams, David James, Jesse Williams, Donald Rudd, James Persons and James Emerick.
