Graveside funeral services for Harold S. Hill, 78, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday at Little Cemetery.
Eugene Warrenburg will give the eulogy. A U.S. Marine Corps honor guard will perform the military rites.
Hill died July 18 at his home in Orange, Calif.
He was born May 21, 1919, in Cromwell to Charles and Ollie (Nichols) Hill. He received his elementary and secondary education in Seminole County.
Hill graduated from Strother High School in 1936 and Seminole Junior College in 1938.
He completed his bachelors degree at East Central State College in 1938 and taught two years at Excelsior High School, near Cromwell, before enlisting in the Marine Corps in 1942.
He retired after 20 years of service at the rank of lieutenant colonel. During the Korean conflict, he was awarded the Bronze Star for meritorious service.
Following Hill’s retirement from the Marine Corps, he was selected by North American Rockwell as director of Manpower Development for the Apollo Project, which placed America’s first man on the moon.
He later went into real estate and lived the rest of his life in Orange.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother; sisters Doris and Rachel; and brother James.
Survivors include two daughters, Vickie Nauck, Riverside, Calif., and Nancy Schwab of Monrovia, Calif.; three brothers, Gene, Bryce and Frank, all of Shawnee; one sister, Wanda Cardenas, Edmond; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Vera Hoskison
Funeral services for Seminole resident Vera Lillian Hoskison, 86, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Swearingen Funeral Home.
Rev. Robert Westfall will officiate the services.
Burial will take place at Little Cemetary.
Hoskison died Friday at Pioneer Nursing Home.
She was born July 9, 1911, in Ardmore to Lee and Polly (Stephens) Parr.
Hoskison, a homemaker, lived most of her life in Seminole and was a member of Haney Methodist Church.
She married Raymond Earl Hoskison on July 17, 1933 in Duncan. He survives her of the home.
Other survivors include her husband, one daughter, Vera Jean Orrell, Seminole; two sisters, Elsie Slayton, Ariz. and Marie Young, Duncan; one granddaughter, one great-granddaughter, and one step-grandson.

Tony Houck
Funeral services for former Seminole resident Tony Allen Houck, 22, will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at the First Freewill Baptist Church in Holdenville.
Rev. Harold Turner will officiate the services.
Interment will be in the Wetumka Cemetery under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home.
Houck died Saturday morning.
He was born July 22, 1975 to Lucky Lynn and Sharla (Osborn) Houck. He lived in Seminole before moving to Holdenville while still in junior high school.
Houck graduated from Holdenville High School in 1993.
He married Erin Lee Evans on Aug. 12, 1995 in Seminole. He was employed by Willace Inc. of Wewoka.
He was preceded in death by his father in 1980, and grandfather, W. H. Houck Sr. in 1969.
Survivors include his wife and one daughter, Dakota, both of the home; his mother and step-father, Bobby Bunch, Holdenville; one sister, Traci Bowen, Holdenville; one step-brother, John Bunch, Shawnee; four grandparents, Shirley and Charlie Osborn, Wetumka and Naoma and Ernest Robinson, Seminole.
Pallbearers will be Jessie Williams, Michael Jones, Emery Lincoln, Mike Allen, Ray Dyer, Cory Zellner, Chad Epperly, Sean Clapp, Marcus Tilley, Jeff Madden and Cory Madden.

Drew Houck
Funeral services for Drew Evelyn (Westerman) Houck, 79, were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Swearingen Funeral Chapel.
Rev. Roy Robertson officiated the services.
Interment was at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Seminole.
Houck died Sunday at Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City.
She was born Aug. 29, 1918 in Dripping Springs, Ark. to Rev. Andrew Marcus Laffette and Martha Lucrecia (Cheatwood) Westerman.
Houck came to Seminole from Malvern, Ark. 65 years ago.
She married Clifford Clinton Houck Feb. 18, 1935 in Wewoka. She was a member of Twin Oaks Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, eight brothers, 10 sisters, and one grandson, Glen Don Garner.
Survivors include two sons, Clifford D. Houck and Ken C. Houck, both of Seminole; one daughter, Margaret Garner, Maud; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grand-children; and one great-great-grand-child.
Casket bearers were Jessie Taylor, Alton Jewel Taylor, Lavern Houck, Joe Lee Houck, Lenard Houck and Charles Lee.
Honorary casket bearers were Bill Garner, Larry Houck and Eugene Houck.

Arvel Joseph Hughes
KONAWA - Military funeral services for former Seminole County resident, Arvel Joseph "Cadillac" Hughes, 84, are set for 2 p.m. Saturday at Pickard Funeral Chapel. Rev. Joe Dixon will officiate, assisted by Rev. Richard Winters.
Interment will follow at the Konawa Cemetery under the direction of Pickard Funeral Home.
Hughes died Thursday at his home in Ada.
He was born in Konawa on Jan. 14, 1913 to John Joseph Hughes and Lannie Lenora (Reynolds) Hughes. He lived most of his life in Seminole County.
On Sept. 20, 1948, he married Era Wanna Cravens in Bentonville, Ark. She survives him of the home.
Hughes was a veteran of World War II.
He was a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church of Byng.
Other survivors include one sister, Eva Fullingin, one step-son, Paul Stephen Reyholds and two grandchildren.

Ada Lee Jones
Funeral services for former Wewoka resident Ada Lee Jones, 97, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Denison, Texas.
Rev Keith Boone and Rev. Jim Goodwin will officiate the service.
Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Shawnee under the direction of Johnson-Moore Funeral Home of Denison, Texas.
Jones was born July 7, 1900 at Mangum in Indian Territory to George and Lila (Curtis) Norris. She attended schools in Mangum.
She served as the grand noble of the Wewoka Rebekah Lodge in 1935, and served various offices in the Wewoka Eastern Star and was a member of the United Methodist Women.
Jones married H.B. Jones in Chandler. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include one daughter, Vike Swart of Denison, Texas.
The family asks for memorials to be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 101 E. U.S. Highway 69, Denison, Texas.

Farris Etta Keisman
Funeral services for the mother of Seminole resident Jim Keisman are scheduled for Saturday.
Farris Etta Keisman, 92, died Wednesday afternoon at Pink Bud Golden Years Retirement Village in Greenwood, Ark.
Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at McConnell Funeral Chapel, Greenwood.
Burial will follow in Huntington City Cemetery.
She was born May 27, 1905, in Huntington, Ark., where she lived until 1991 when she moved to the nursing home.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Huntington for 80 years, a member of Order of Eastern Star and was president of the Huntington City Cemetery Association for 41 years.
She served for many years on the Sebastian County Election Board.
Keisman was preceded in death by her husband, Gus, on Dec. 24, 1980, and one son, Warren.
Survivors include five sons and four daughters-in-law, Jim and Caroline Keisman of Seminole, David and Nancy of Fort Smith, Ark., Gene and Goldie of Clinton Township, Mich., Oran of Prentiss, Miss., and Paul and Faye, also of Prentiss; one daughter, Mary Etta Moore, Phoenix, Ariz.; 14 grandchildren including of Bryan Keisman of Seminole and Brent Keisman of Dallas; and 19 great-grandchildren.
