Graveside funeral services for Earl Rudolph "Rudy" Lovins, former Seminole resident, were held Thursday morning at Little Axe Community Cemetery.
Tribal representative Johnny Mann officiated. Burial was under the direction of John Ireland Funeral Home.
Lovins, 64, died Tuesday at a Shawnee hospital.
He was born April 2, 1933, in Lawton to L.D. and Janie (Harjo) Lovins.
He attended school in the Seminole area. He was employed by the State of Oklahoma at Little River State Park until his medical retirement in 1991.
He was an active member of the Seminole Nation.
He married JoAnn Johnson on Aug. 14, 1957, in Wewoka.
Survivors include his wife; daughters, Ann and Marilyn Lovins and Carol Hackbarth, all of Norman, and Donna Wunderlin, Lewisburg, Tenn.; one son, Earl Lovins, Norman; one brother, Dave Bowlegs, Wewoka; eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Janie and Edmond Bowlegs; four brothers and one stepbrother.

Beulah Madsen
Funeral services for Beulah Agatha "Pat" Madsen, 74, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
Father Basil Keenan, OSB, will officiate the service.
Burial will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Madsen died Thursday in her Seminole home.
She was born Dec. 7, 1922 in Denison, Texas to Dee Pat Sr. and Effie (Power) Dobbs.
Madsen was a telephone operator for years in Oklahoma and California.
She moved to Seminole from Los Angeles, Calif. in 1969. She was married to Dick Madsen, who preceded her in death in 1985.
Other who preceded her in death include her parents and one sister, Ruby Beene.
Survivors include one brother, Dee Pat Dobbs Jr., Sallisaw, and other Seminole residents.
Casket bearers will be Keith Eppler, Roger Long, Allan Barger, Billy Eppler, Keith Cotton and Mark Selfridge.

Winston Marsh
Memorial services for former Seminole County businessman Winston R. Marsh, 69, are scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Immanuel Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Jeff Moore officiating.
He died Monday at his home in Shawnee.
Marsh was born Sept. 11, 1928 in El Reno to Leonadus and Della (Pitt) Marsh. He graduated from Shawnee High School in 1947 and lived most of his life in Shawnee.
He had served in the U.S. Army in the Korean conflict and had a 37-year career with Southwestern Bell in Holdenville, Lawton, Oklahoma City, Seminole and Shawnee. He retired in 1984.
He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
Marsh married Marjory Goodson in Shawnee Sept. 26, 1964. She survives him of the home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters and two brothers.
Other survivors include his family, Samuel Marsh, Tab and Amy Marsh, Lee and Regina Marsh, Kari, Kase and Spike Kelly, Lillian Lyon, Virginia Deyer, and Dudly Williams.

Carl Maynard
Funeral services for Carl Eldon Maynard, 61, were held today at Stout Funeral Home Chapel in Wewoka.
Rev. Perry Justus officiated the service. Burial was at Little Cemetery.
Maynard died Saturday.
He was born March 27, 1936 in Seminole to Lonnie and Elfreeda Maynard. He was raised in the Seminole area until the family moved to California in 1950.
Maynard went into the Air Force in 1955 and was stationed in several locations. He had worked with various computer companies including IBM, and retired in computer sales.
He was involved in gospel music for several years, associated with such groups as The Master’s Trio and Carmays.
Maynard returned two years ago to Wewoka after living in Dallas, Texas for the past 18 years.
He was preceded in death by his father, one brother, Wayne, and three children, Melody, Lonnie Glenn and Carla Dawn.
Survivors include his mother; four children, Chery Maynard and Steve Maynard, both of New Mexico, Theresa Maynard, Tahlequah, and Tammy Denise Maynard-Ortiz, Tulsa; one sister, Paula Kiker, Wewoka; and four grandchildren.

Raymond McCanless
Graveside services for Raymond McCanless, 89, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at Maple Grove Cemetery.
Rev. Rusty Dawson will officiate the services.
He was born Dec. 12, 1907, in Durant to Jo and Florence (Knight) McCanless.
He moved to Seminole with his family in 1927 during the oil-boom. He worked for Gulf Oil Co. for 41 years, and served a short term in the Navy during World War II.
McCanless married Ruby Williams in 1932. She preceded him in death.
Survivors include one son, Gilmer, Sapulpa; one daughter, Judy, Spavinaw; two sisters, Jessie Cyche, Chester, and Mae Thorp, Cypress, Texas; one brother, Leroy McCanless, Seminole; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Geneva McKenzie
Funeral services for Seminole resident Geneva Marie McKenzie, 77, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at Nazarene Church in Holdenville with Rev. Meredith Robinson officiating.
Burial will be at Holdenville Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
McKenzie died Wednesday at Shawnee Care Center.
She was born May 7, 1920, in Allen to Jess and Icie Belle (Brown) Brewer.
McKenzie was a homemaker, and retired from State of Oklahoma Motor Fuel Department, where she was a secretary. She came to Seminole from Oklahoma City in 1989, and was a member of Holdenville Nazarene Church.
She married Tobe McKenzie on Oct. 14, 1960 in Chandler. He preceded her in death in 1986.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother, James H. Brewer.
Survivors include three stepchildren, Charleen McKenzi, and Betty Kay Gilmore, both of Oklahoma City, and Coleen Augle, Oak Harbor, Wash.; one sister, Mae Cane, Seminole.

Albert Mears
Graveside services for former Seminole resident Albert Benton Mears, 75, are scheduled for 2 p.m. at Maple Grove Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Mears died Friday in his Tulsa home.
He was born May 26, 1922 in the Summitt Township of Marion County, Kan. to William Floyd and Ellis (Pitchford) Mears.
Mears worked for the Seminole Ice Plant before moving to Tulsa in the 1950’s, where he retired from Tulsa County.
He married Leota (Lackey) Mears in 1943 in Shawnee. She survives him of the home.
Other survivors include three sons, Teddy Lee Mears, Allen Benton Mears and Dennis Nelson Mears, all of Tulsa; three brothers, William "Bill" Mears, Seminole, Roy Mears, Washington, and Gene Mears, Friendship, Texas; two sisters, Charlotte Morris, Houston, Texas and Louis Kelly, Broken Arrow; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Public viewing will take place beginning at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Swearingen Funeral Home.

Terrance Moon
WEWOKA ¾ Funeral services for Terrance D. Moon, 47, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at Stout Funeral Chapel.
Rev. Bob Thornburgh of Madill will officiate. Burial will follow in Little Cemetery.
Moon died Wednesday at Presbyterian Hospital, Oklahoma City, after a long illness.
He was born Aug. 28, 1950, in Wewoka to Helen and Hubbard Thomas Moon. He graduated from New Lima High School in 1968.
He served four years in the U.S Air Force and worked at the Oklahoma State Prison in McAlester from October, 1987, until December, 1990.
He returned to Wewoka five years ago.
He was preceded in death by his father in April, 1974.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Helen and A.C. Redwine of Spaulding; one son, Noah Barton Moon Perry, U.S. Marines, Paris Island, S.C.; one daughter, Amber Donelle Moon, McAlester; two sisters, Donna Oliver, Eufaula, and Phyllis Garrison, Montrose, Calif.; three brothers, Thomas J. Moon, Richardson, Texas, Tim Moon, Oklahoma City; and David Moon, Barbarton, Ohio.
Pallbearers will include Michael Stewart, Jimmy and Bill Lozier, all of Seminole, Nathan Stewart, Henryetta, and Graham and Joseph Moon, both of Wewoka.
Honorary pallbearers include Stephen Allen, Wewoka, and Tracy Shull, Savana.
