Funeral services for former Seminole resident Mary Burton (Harrison) Miller, 90, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at Swearingen Funeral Chapel.
Dr. Kelvin Mosely will officiate the service. Burial will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery.
The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Monday from 10 a.m. till noon.
Miller died Thursday at Deaconess Hospital, Oklahoma City.
She was born Jan. 29, 1907 in Greenville, Texas to John Burton Harrison and Mary Harriet (McBride) Harrison.
Miller was a Seminole resident for 56 years, moving to Oklahoma City two years ago.
She was a homemaker as well as a schoolteacher in Holdenville and Atoka. She also worked for Davis Printing.
Miller was a member of Highland Hills Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, and a former member of First Baptist Church in Seminole.
She was married to Howard Johnston Miller on Aug. 17, 1935 in Duncan. He preceded her in death Feb. 19, 1991.
Also preceding her in death were her parents, two brothers and one sister.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Larry Anderson, Oklahoma City; three grandchildren and spouses, Elane and Scott Nelson, Edmond, Laura and Doug Okruch, Bedford, Texas, and Edward Leverett, Houston, Texas; two great-granddaughters, Alex and Riley Nelson, Edmond; two nephews, Kenneth Early, Oklahoma City, and Bill Harrison, Gainsville, Texas; and one niece, Betty Hames, Gainsville, Texas.
Casket bearers include Fred Ellison, Don Raney, Dub Childers, Owen Melton, G.W. Whitford and Kenneth Early.
The family requests that memorials be made to the Oklahoma League for the Blind, 501 N. Douglas Ave., Oklahoma City, OK 73106.

Dorothy Nix
BROKEN ARROW - Private funeral service for Dorothy F. Nix, longtime Seminole resident, were held today at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens.
Nix died Monday in Owasso where she had resided since 1990.
Nix and her family moved to Seminole from Kingman, Kan. in 1927 and she graduated from Seminole High School in 1929.
She was a charger member of the First Christian Church of Seminole and a member of the Seminole Business & Professional Women’s Club. She was honored by BP&W as Woman of the Year.
Survivors include two daughters, Pat Ballard and Judy Roberts, both of Tulsa, and two sisters, Helen George, Kingman, Kan, and Josephine Jones, Wichita, Kan., a grandson and two great-grandchildren.

Ott Morelan
Graveside services for former Seminole resident Ott Morelan, 79, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Maple Grove Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Rev. Carl Whitfield will officiate the service.
Morelan died Saturday at Seminole Municipal Hospital.
He was born June 10, 1910 in Bartlesville to Ottis and Mary (Foster) Morelan.
Morelan was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army as a private. He then worked in the oilfield, which he retired from.
Survivors include one brother, Lymon Morelan, Frankston, Texas.

Jewell Marie Novotny
Rosary for Jewell Marie Novotny, 84, is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Friday at Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Prague.
Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Prague.
Rev. Adrian Vorderlandwehr, O.S.B. will officiate, and burial will follow in Prague Catholic Cemetery.
Novotny died Monday.
She was born Aug. 1, 1913 in Bomartin, Tex. to Martin Leonard and Veronica Janota.
She married Charley Novotny in 1934, and he preceded her in death in 1993.
She had lived in the Paden area most of her life, and she was a member of the St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Prague.
Also preceding Novotny in death were two brothers, four sisters, two daughters, and one son.
Survivors include four sons, Frank and Donald Novotny, both of Prague, and Jim and Johnnie Novotny, both of Seminole; five daughters, Dorothy Kroos and Jane McGill, both of Prague, Louise Wilkerson and Jean Quary, both of Meeker, and Nancy Cagle of Shawnee; one brother, Bill Janota of Oklahoma City, and one sister, Louise Beaudette of Sun Valley, Calif.

E. E. "Bud" Oliver
Funeral services for Seminole resident E. E. "Bud" Oliver, 74, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday at Harvey Road Baptist Church.
Rev. Carl Whitfield will officiate the service. Burial will take place at Little Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Oliver died Thursday at his Seminole home.
He was born Jan. 12, 1923, in Heavener to Luther and Martha Lou (Callahan) Oliver.
Oliver was a farmer, and also worked for Wylie Manufacturing Company, from which he retired in 1974.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, where he served in the 487th Artillary Battalion. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Del City.
Oliver married Lillian Box on March 28, 1946 in Mena, Ark. She survives him of the home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers and three sisters.
Other survivors include one son, Edward Oliver, Fort Worth, Texas; three daughters, Carolyn Sellers, Seminole, Margaret Tolley, Little Rock, Ark., and Anita Christian, Winnemucca, Nev.; three sisters, Marie Cumming, Sterling, Colo., Elsie "Boots" Peeler, Eufaula, and Edith Suter, Lubbock, Texas; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Mary Pack
OKLAHOMA CITY - Funeral services for Mary Frances Pack, 87, wife of former Seminole County resident Lelin Pack, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday at Smith and Kernke Chapel.
Burial will take place at 2:30 p.m. at Little Cemetery.
Pack died Wednesday in Oklahoma City.
She was born April 19, 1910 in Joplin, Mo. to Chester and Callie E. Reynolds.
Pack held a Masters of Psychology from University of Tulsa, and was a Psi Chi National Honorary Psychology Fraternity inductee.
She was employed with, and retired from, Gulf Oil Corporation of Oklahoma.
She married Lelin Pack on July 3, 1955 in Tulsa. He survives her of the home.
Pack was preceded in death by her mother and one sister, Ruth.

Victor Parker
Memorial services for Victor Charles Parker, 56, were held at 10 a.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church in Konawa.
Parker died in his home in Konawa.
He was born July 22, 1941 in Pomona, Calif. to Victor Parker and Barbara Chorlton.
He married Barbara Sossamar in 1969. Parker had lived in the Konawa area for the past five years, where he worked as a painter.
Survivors include his wife, three daughters, Vicky Ann Untersee of Ada, Lynette Parker of Byng, and Kathleen McCullough of Gridley, Calif.; four sons, James Packer of Rio Linda, Calif., Alfred Parker of Sacramento, Carey Brooks of Konawa, and Allen Brooks of Colby, Kan., and seven grandchildren.

Dakota Pennock
Graveside services for Dakota Henry Pennock, 6 months, were held Monday at the Spooner Family Cemetery in Meeker under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Stroud.
Rev. Vincent Mike Harjo officiated the service.
Pennock died Friday in Oklahoma City.
He was born June 6, 1997 to Raymond and Debbie (Harjo) Pennock.
Pennock was preceded in death by one niece, Tisha Ann Pennock, three grandparents, Laverna Johnson, Charlotte Mae Spooner and William "Bill" Spooner; and three great-grandparents, Wilson Harjo, and Ida M. and Irwin Spooner.
Survivors include his parents, of the home; three brothers, Raymond Louis Pennock, Seminole, Kit Irving Pennock, and William Louis Pennock, both of the home; four sisters, Ramonda Lee Pennock, Shawnee, Angela M. and Cheri Elaine Pennock, both of Seminole, and Cassie Renae Harjo, of the home; four grandparents, George H. and T. Harjo, and Josephine Harjo, all of Seminole, and Judy Harrison, Wewoka.
