WEWOKA ¾ Charles Thomas Vallandingham, 73, of Wewoka died Tuesday, Dec. 30, at Seminole Municipal Hospital.
Funeral services, under the direction of Stout Funeral Home, will be at First Baptist Church in Wewoka at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 2.
Rev. Michael Vallandingham and Rev. Dan Anderson will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Wewoka.
Vallandingham was born in Wilburton on Aug. 30, 1924, to Earl Rowe and Eva (Faulkner) Vallandingham.
He graduated from Wewoka High School in 1942; he attended East Central University and graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1953.
He works for Phillips Petroleum until 1963, when he returned to Wewoka to work in the family business, Earl’s Magneto Service.
He later owned and operated Val’s Furniture and Appliance and Val’s Auto Mart in Wewoka.
He was a deacon of First Baptist Church, where he was a member for nearly 35 years. He taught Sunday School and was an active member through those many years.
He was a 32nd Degree Mason, Shriner and a member of the Rotary Club.
Vallandingham was a veteran of World War II, having served two and one-half years in Europe in the Army Air Corps.
He married Rosella Tuttle on Dec. 7, 1945. She survives him, of the home.
Other survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Glenda Vallandingham, Van Buren, Ark.; son Dwayne Vallandingham of Wewoka; daughter and son-in-law, Janie and Randy Grisham, Wewoka; six grandsons, Michael, Robbie, Richie, Jacob and Jason Vallandingham and Jarrod Wood; two granddaughters, Christina Vallandingham and Kelsey Grisham; granddaughter-in-law, Tara Vallandingham; and one great-granddaughter, Jordan Lynn Vallandingham.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and one granddaughter.

Earlie Vanzant
Graveside services for Earlie Mae Vanzant, 86, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Rev. Larry Chesser will officiate the service.
Vanzant died Monday at Holdenville General Hospital.
She was born March 25, 1911 in Crystal Springs, Ark., to Tucker Bertrand and Mollie Springer.
Vanzant was a homemaker and a retired Avon representative.
She married Nathaniel Vanzant in May, 1941 in Wewoka. He survives her of their Wewoka home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and three brothers.
Other survivors include one son, Don William Vanzant, Shawnee; one daughter, Linda Mae Smith, Altus; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Casket bearers will be Jerry Payne, Cozzy Lee Vanzant, and Roy Vanzant.

Carmon "Bill" Walden
Funeral services for former Seminole resident Carmon Cecil "Bill" Walden, 81, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday at Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel.
Pastor Jerry States will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Little Cemetery.
Walden died Monday in Muskogee.
He was born April 10, 1916 in Booneville, Miss. to Marcus and Mattie (Martin) Walden.
Walden served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He retired from Canadian Valley Electric Coop, where he worked as a district serviceman.
He married Norma States on March 7, 1949 in Van Buren, Ark. She survives him of the home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Cotton Walden.
Other survivors include one son, Time Walden, Carson; two daughters, Cecelia Stodola, Carrolton, Texas, and Brenda Abel, Braggs; four brothers, Earl Walden, Junior Walden, Olen Walden and Harold Walden, all of Prague; two sisters, Maxine White, Prague, and Ilene Goode, Okemah; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Etha Wiggins
Funeral services for former Seminole resident Etha Mae Wiggins, 88, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at Swearingen Funeral Chapel.
Rev. Dwayne D. Bobbitt will officiate the service. Burial will take place at Little Cemetery.
Wiggins died Wednesday at a Weatherford, Texas nursing home.
She was born Nov. 15, 1909 in Seminole to Henry S. and Susan Belle (Ramsey) Hill.
Wiggins was a former minister at the Hilltop Assembly of God Church. She also played piano at Glad Tiding for several years.
She was married to Quincy Wiggins. He preceded her in death in March, 1975.
Survivors include two sons, W.E. "Dub" Wiggins, Weatherford, Texas, and Bobby N. Wiggins, Morgan, Texas; two sisters, Jewel Bailey, Seminole, and Naoma Moore, Yakima, Wash.; six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Jaime House
Graveside services for Jaime Dean House, infant son of Larry and Dosha House, Sasakwa, were held today at Tate Mountain Cemetery under the direction of Stout Funeral Home.
Rev. Wesley Martin officiated the service.
House died Monday at Valley View Regional Hospital.
Survivors include his parents; grandparents, James Dickinson, Stonewall, Vita Dickinson, Wanette, Linda and Vernon Tripp, Wewoka, and Jerry House, Waldron, Ark.; and great-grandparents Wayne and Beatrice Bible, Sasakwa and Robert and Onita House, Sasakwa.

Raymond Williams
TAHLEQUAH - Funeral services for former Seminole County resident Raymond Eugene Williams, 59, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday at Reed-Culver Chapel.
Williams died Wednesday in Tulsa.
He was born May 21, 1938, in Seminole County to Ewell Raymond and Effie Marie (Harms) Williams.
Williams was reared and educated in Konawa. Upon leaving school, he worked for the City of Konawa and then for OG&E in Konawa. He later transferred to Muskogee until his retirement.
He was a volunteer fireman in Konawa and also belonged to the Gideons. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Konawa.
Williams married Jane Ritchey on March 17, 1982. She survives him of the home.
Other survivors include his mother; six children, Raynell Foster, David Williams, both of Konawa, Brenda Carter, Tahlequah, Mark Cummins, Noble, Linda Lear, Peteau, and Robert Cummins, Tahlequah; five sisters, Francis Bottoms, Shawnee, Gerldine Lee, Ada, JoAnn Cheek, Duncanville, Texas, Geneva Millican, Gallop, NM, and Joyce Wood, Konawa; one brother, Afton Millican, Konawa; and ten grandchildren.

Irma Jean Wilson
Funeral Services for Wewoka resident Irma Jean (Williams) Wilson, 67, are scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday at St. Mark’s Baptist Church in Wewoka.
E. G. Bert will officiate the service. Burial will take place at Bruner Cemetery, Turkey Creek under the direction of Keller Funeral Home.
Wilson died Dec. 4 at Holdenville General Hospital.
She was born March 25, 1930 in Wewoka to Dewey Williams and Rachel (Bruner) Franklin.
Wilson was a graduate of Douglas High School, and attended Worshums College in Chicago for embalming and funeral directing.
She was one of the founding members of St. Mark’s Baptist Church, Lima.
Wilson was a resident of Elmwood Manor Nursing Home, Wewoka, at the time of her death.
She married Willis Wilson in Okemah. He survives her of the home.
Wilson was preceded in death by her father.
Other survivors include two daughters, Reletta Osborne, Wewoka and Debrah Taylor Mitchell, Oklahoma City; one son, DeKovan McClead, Wewoka; one sister, Betty Franklin, Wewoka; one brother Coody Franklin, Oklahoma City; 12 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren
Pall bearers are Clayton Noble, Jessie Crawford, Kevon Chandler, Dale Benjamin, Tomy D. Phillips, Clyde Spencer.
