Funeral services for former Seminole County resident Curtis "Charley" Davis, 64, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel.
Rev. Ray Tainpeah will officiate at the service. Burial will follow at the Davis family cemetery near Sasakwa.
Wake services are set for 6 p.m. tonight at the Hudson-Phillips Chapel.
Davis died Saturday, May 29, 1999 at St. Anthony’s Hospital, Oklahoma City.
He was born Dec. 20, 1934 in Lawton to Wilson and Stella (Harjo) Davis.
Reared in the Sasakwa area, he attended school at what is now known as Bacone.
Davis attended high school in Lawrence, Kan.
Living in Seminole and Hughes Counties, Davis also lived in Ohio for eight years and Tulsa for 23 years.
He moved to Holdenville in Dec. 1997. He was a Methodist.
Davis married Flora Butler in 1975; she survives him of the home.
Other survivors include four sons, Anthony Davis and Mickey Davis, both of Seminole, Kelly Davis, Konawa and Anson Davis, of the home; two daughters, Terri Davis Foster, Bowlegs, and Sherry Butler, Sapulpa; one sister, Virginia Tiger, Wetumka; one brother, Jeff Davis, Ada; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are listed as Kacey Foster, Cody Foster, Mickey Curtis Davis, John Tainpeah Jr., Shawn Dale West, and Danny Driskell.
Honorary bearers include Mickey Wilson Davis, Darrell Tiger, Kelly Davis, Jeffery Larney, Anson Rudolph Davis, Russell Tainpeah, Jai Tainpeah and Timothy R. Hooper.

Dora Davis
Funeral services for Seminole native Dora Mae Davis, 67, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday at Victory Baptist Church.
Interment will follow at Lamar Cemetery east of Holdenville under the direction of Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home in Del City.
Davis died Tuesday, Dec. 7, 1999 in Oklahoma City.
She was born July 21, 1932 in Seminole.
Davis attended church at Victory Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alma and Ida (Johnson) Chotkey.
Survivors include three sons, Robert Davis, Wetumka, James Davis, Oklahoma City and Mark Davis, Shawnee; three daughters, Leslie Renose and Deana Davis, both of Oklahoma City, and Colleen Toney, Moore; one brother, Raymond Chotkey; 20 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Flora Davis
The stepmother of Ronnie Harjo, Tony, Mickey and Kelly Davis, all of Seminole County, died Monday, July 19, 1999 at Holdenville General Hospital.
Funeral services for Flora Mae (Butler) Davis, 50, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel.
Wake services are set for 6 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel.
Davis was born May 30, 1949 in Talihina to Robert and Alice (Bighead) Butler.
She was reared in Hanna, where she attended school, then graduated from Holdenville High School.
Davis moved to Tulsa, then Sapulpa for many years before returning to Holdenville in 1997.
She worked at the Creek Nation Child Care Center, and was a member of the Peach Ground Ceremonial Grounds, near Hanna.
She married Charley Davis in 1975. He preceded her in death on May 29, 1999.
Survivors include one daughter, Sherry Butler, Sapulpa; one son, Anson Davis, of the home; four stepsons, Ronnie Harjo, Konawa, Tony Davis and Mickey Davis, both of Seminole, and Kelly Davis, Konawa; one stepdaughter, Terri Davis, Bowlegs; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Manuel Davis
Graveside services for Seminole resident Manuel L. Davis, 83, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka.
Rev. Meredith Robinson will officiate at the service. Interment will be under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Davis died Saturday, May 8, 1999 at his residence.
He was born May 9, 1915 in Canadian to Eli Davis and Ida (Kittrell) Davis.
An oilfield worker, Davis lived in the Seminole area all of his life. He started working with Noble Drilling and work for 23 years with them. He retired from Homestake Oil in 1966.
Davis was a veteran, having served with the U. S. Army.
He married Essie Brinsfield on May 13, 1938 in Phoenix, Ariz. She survives him of the home.
Davis was preceded in death by his parents, one stepdaughter, two brothers and three sisters.
He is also survived by one daughter, Rugena Gail Lemons, Wewoka.

Quessie Dean
Gravside services for former Seminole resident Quessie Roberta Dean, 88, Eufaula, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at Greenwood Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Black’s Funeral Home, Eufaula.
Dean died Friday, Feb. 19, 1999 at a Eufaula area hospital.
She was born Aug. 17, 1910 in Akins to Christopher and Armenta (Ramsey) Franks.
A homemaker, Dean held numerous jobs outside the home, including work as Pioneer Nursing Home in Seminole.
After she retired from the nursing home, she moved back to Eufaula.
Dean was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Oklahoma City.
She was married to Floyd L. Dean on Aug. 13, 1928 in Van Buren, Ark. He survives her of the home.
Dean was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Orpheus Franks; and five sisters, Cork, Gert, Bessie, Vern and Doll.;
Other survivors include one son, Jack Dean, Eufaula; two daughters, Mary Watson, French Camp, Calif. and Jimmie Carroll, Waurika; two sisters, Waunita Smith and Lavits Mosby, both of Sallisaw; eight grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Stanley DeArmond
WELEETKA - Funeral services for former Seminole resident Stanley "Tubby" DeArmond were planned for 10 a.m. today at the Assembly of God Church in Weleetka.
Rev. Craig DeArmond officiated. Burial followed in Likowski Cemetery under the direction of Williamson Funeral Home.
DeArmond died Sunday at St. John’s Medical Center, Tulsa, at the age of 60.
He was born Sept. 29, 1938, in Weleetka, to Cleo and Vada Yarbrough DeArmond.
He was raised in the Pharaoh area and graduated from Fox High School.
He spent most of his working career in the Seminole area, employed by the Dover Corporation. He worked in the oilfield and was promoted to district manager before becoming an pump supply dealer and an oilwell owner and operator.
He also sang in a gospel group, the DeArmond Family Quartet.
DeArmond was preceded in death by his father Cleo and two brothers, Jimmie and Charles.
Survivors include his mother, Vada, Fort Smith, Ark.; one son, Michael DeArmond, Tucson, Ariz.; two daughters, Rebecca Rison, Lafe, Ariz., and Amy Rushing, Seminole; one sister, Sharon Jackson, Tulsa; one brother, Gary DeArmond, Fort Smith, Ark.; and four grandchildren.
Pallbearers include Marvin White, Bill Witham, Keith Street, Cliff DeArmond, Kent DeArmond and Max Cline.

Viola Deason
BARTLESVILLE - Funeral ser-vices for Viola Deason, sister of a Seminole resident, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at New Harmony Baptist Church.
Rev. Ralph Dershem of Rose Hill community Chruch will officiate at the services. Burial will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the Garden Grove Cemetery, northeast of Shawnee, with Jerry Snyder of Prague officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home, Bartlesville.
Deason died Wednesday, June 2, 1999 at her home.
She was born May 13, 1916 in Wynnewood to James Howard and Rachel (Dillon) McKinnon.
Deason had lived in Belmont and later Shawnee before moving to Bartlesville in 1953 where she was co-owner of Deason’s Poultry until the late 1960’s.
She was a member of the Ramona First Baptist Church, where she served as a Sunday School teacher.
She married Othel Kelsey Deason Sr. on Dec. 22, 1933 in Prague.
Deason was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Paul Lee Deason, and one brother, James McKinnon.
Survivors include three sons, Othel K. Jr., Bartlesville, Jack Deason, Peabody, Kan., and James Deason, Bartlesville; one daughter, Sue Jones, Quitman, Ark.; one brother, Howard McKinnon, Bokosha; three sisters, Doris Dyke, Seminole, Maurine Edmonds,. Oklahoma City, and Serena Powell, Norman; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
The family has suggested that expressions of sympathy be made to the New Harmony Baptist Church, 22050 N. 4015 Rd., Bartlesville, Okla., 74006.
