Funeral mass for longtime Seminole resident Joe Joseph Decker, 93, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
Rev. Basil Keenan, OSB, will officiate at the services. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Shawnee under the direction of Parks Brother Funeral Home, Prague.
Viewing and visitation is scheduled for 4 p.m. Thursday at Parks Brother Funeral Home, Prague.
Rosary and wake services are set for 7 p.m. Thursday at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel.
Decker died Tuesday, March 23, 1999 in Seminole County.
He was born March 17, 1906 in Newkirk to Michael and Frances Rose (Horinek) Decker.
Decker was a longtime Seminole County resident, and he and his brother Jim were prominent farmers and ranchers in the area.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Frank; and three sisters, Matilda, Agnes and Frances.
Survivors include one brother, Jim Decker, of the home; and five sisters, Mary Hair, Duncan, Rose Drescher, Oklahoma City, Ann Rogers, McLeon, Louise Plumley, Denver, Colo., and Margaret May, Oxnard, Calif.
The family has suggested expressions of sympathy may be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and St. Gregory’s University Scholarship Fund in Shawnee.

Frances Decker
Funeral mass services for Seminole County resident Frances K. Decker, 84, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

Decker died Monday, Feb. 8, 1999 in an accident at her home north of Seminole.
She was born Dec. 2, 1914 to Michael and Frances Rose (Horinek) Decker.
She attended Seminole Public Schools and graduated from Prairie Valley High School.
Decker graduated from University of Oklahoma with a masters degree in education, and taught school at Lone Star, Seminole Elementary School, Standard Oil Company in Negutas, Peru, Wichita Falls, Texas and retired from teaching in Tulsa.
Upon retirement in 1977, Decker moved back to Seminole.
She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the Catholic Daughter of America and many Catholic leagues.
Decker was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Frank; and two sisters, Matilda and Agnes.
Survivors include two brothers, Joe Decker and Jim Decker, both of the home; and five sisters, Mary Hair, Duncan, Rose Drescher, Oklahoma City, Ann Rogers, McLeon, Va., Louise Plumley, Denver, Colo., and Margaret May, Oxnard, Calif.

George Deer
Funeral services for Wewoka resident George Elliott Deer, 74, are scheduled for 1:30 Saturday at Akasvmkv Baptist Church.
Dan Factor will officiate at the service. Burial will follow at Little Quarsarty Church Cemetery, Cromwell, under the direction of Stout Funeral Home.
Wake services are scheduled for 6:30 p.m. tonight at Stout Chapel, and a memorial service is set for 7:30 p.m. Friday at Akasvmkv Baptist Church.
Deer died Thursday, April 15 at Elmwood Manor Nursing Home.
He was born Aug. 14, 1924 in Okemah to Sparney Deer and Nancy Harjo.
At the age of five, he enrolled at Bacone Orphanage Home in Muskogee, and while there was baptized by Dr. Weaks.
Deer entered the US Army on July 13, 1943, and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal while serving in World War II in Europe and China.
He was discharged from the Army on Jan. 17, 1946.
Deer worked as a Municipal Water Treatment Plant operator for the City of Wewoka for many years, retiring in 1987.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Josiah Deer in 1959; Alfred Deer in 1982, and Robert Deer in 1992; and two sisters, Lucy Deer Thomas in 1975 and Minnie Deer in 1989.
Survivors include one brother, Edward Deer of Wewoka and one special nephew, Jerry Deer, of Wewoka.
Pallbearers are listed as Edwin Deere, Robin Dena, Edison Deere, Hulley Deere, Brandon Lena and John Williams.
Honorary pallbearers include Ethan Deer, Alfred Deer, Virgil Casey and Francis Deer.

Jessie Deere
Funeral services for Seminole native Jessie Deere, 80, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at Liberty Baptist Church.
Rev. Bill Matthews and Rev. Phil Thompson will officiate at the service with Rev. Larry Goins assisting. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Home.
Deere died Wednesday, May 12, 1999 at a Shawnee hospital.
He was born Jan. 19, 1919 in Seminole to Robert and Nicey Deere.
He attended Lone Star School near Seminole.
Deere was employed at Shawnee Milling Company, and lived in Shawnee since he was 19 years old.
He was a member of the Seminole Indian Nation and Liberty Baptist Church.
He married Minnie Thompson, who preceded him in death.
Deere married Levesta Lewis on March 30, 1973 in McAlester. She survives him of the home.
He was preceded in death by one son, James Deere, and one grandson.
Other survivors include his daughters, Jessica Deere, of the home, Nellie Straight and Molly Deere, both of Norman, and Judy Deere, of Los Angeles; one son, Michael Deere, Oklahoma City; brothers, Jackson Deer, Tulsa, and Buster Deer, Seminole; 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Bill Degge
OKEMAH - Funeral services for Wewoka native Bill Degge, 65, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Okemah.
Rev. Charles Harelson will officiate at the service. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brother Funeral Home, Okemah.
Degge died Thursday, Aug. 26 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa.
He was born June 11, 1934 in Wewoka to Charley Robert and Opal L. Degge.
A veteran, he served with the 187th Airborne overseas in Korea, and also with the 45th Infantry Division of the Oklahoma National Guard.
Degge was the owner and operator of Degge Oilfield Service for 33years.
He was a member of the American Legion, VFW and Eagles, and had lived in Okemah since 1962.
Degge married Betty Jo Brandt on March 4, 1957 in Henryetta. She survives him of the home.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Other survivors include one son, Timmy Degge, Okemah; one daughter, Rhonda Degge, Okemah; his mother, of Wewoka; four sisters, Joys Boyd and Pat Davis, both of Wewoka, Faye Sallee, Waldron, Ark., and Elaine Carter, Odessa, Texas; and five grandchildren.

Sarah Dely
Seminole resident Sahra Elease Dely died Monday, April 5, 1999 at her home.
No services are scheduled. Arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Dely was born to Harper Snipes and Nora Baliey.
Survivors are two special friends, Beth Plumlee Self and Nancy Pratt, both of Seminole.

Delia Dement
Graveside services for Maud resident Delia Dement, 92, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday at Konawa Cemetery.
Services will be conducted by Rev. Pam Shirk under the direction of Pickard Funeral Home of Konawa.
She died on Aug. 2, 1999 in Seminole.
Dement was born on May 7, 1907 in Butner, Ok to Belle Updegraff and D.K. Updegraff.
She married Elmer Dement in 1925. He preceded her in death March of 1982.
Dement was also preceded in death by two sons Marvin and Leroy, one daughter Betty and one grandson.
Dement is survived by one daughter June Duck, Konawa; 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchil-dren and 7 great-great-grandchil-dren.

Nelda Fern Dennis
Funeral services for Wewoka resident, Nelda Fern (Hall) Dennis, 78, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday at the Holdenville First Freewill Baptist Church under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Rev. Russell Payne will officiate. Interment will follow at the Pontotoc Cemetery, 10 miles north of Tishomingo.
Dennis died Wednesday, March 17, 1999 in Woodward.
She was born March 13, 1921 in Mulberry, Ark. to Tillman Anderson and Mamie (Brown Anderson.
On July 29, 1940, she married Herbert C. Hall in Sapulpa; he preceded her in death on Jan. 22, 1980.
She later married Morris L. Dennis on Oct. 19, 1984 in Colorado Springs, Colo.; he preceded her in death on Aug. 6, 1998.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and two grandsons.
Survivors include two sons, Herbert Dale Hall, Higgins, Texas and Gerald Ray Hall, Mooreland; a sister, Carlene Hall, Bixby and two brothers Roland Anderson and Duan Anderson, both of Bixby, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
