Funeral services for Maud resident Ora Alice (Hopper) Glover, 65, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at Trinity Baptist Church, Maud.
Rev. Carl Whitfield will officiate at the services. Burial will follow at Cummings Cemetery under the direction of Knight Funeral Home.
Glover died at her winter home in Ocean Springs, Miss.
She was born Dec. 1, 1933 in Sapulpa to Farris Derward and Juanita Catherine (Slaybaugh) Hopper.
Glover had lived in Maud since 1966, when she moved from Burkburnett, Texas.
She worked for Goss Dry Goods in Maud for several years before working at Carlton’s IGA in Seminole.
In March of 1973, she began working at the Citizens State Bank of Maud and continued working for The Bank, N.A. until Sept. 1988.
Glover was a member of B.P.O.E. Lodge #2501 in Ocean Springs, and the Maud Historical Society.
She married Bobby Ray Glover on July 3, 1950 in DeQueen, Ark. He preceded her in death on June 22, 1992.
Glover was also preceded in death by her father, in 1964; one brother, Raymond Hopper, in 1956; and one great-grandson, Eric Roberts, on May 31, 1995.
Survivors include her mother, on Maud; one son and daughter-in-law, Herb and Barbara Glover, Ocean Springs; one daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Terry Renfro, Maud; seven grandchildren, Cam Glover Thorne, Joanny Ray Glover, Sandy Glover and Shelly Glover Spiers, all of Ocean Springs, Dawnda Renfro Roberts, Fort Polk, La., Toby Wade and Dillon Ray Renfro, both of Maud; and three great-grandchildren, Andrew Throne, Ocean Springs, Kayla and Tori Roberts, Fort Polk La.
Other survivors include brothers and sisters-in-law, Clarence and Mary Hopper, Maud, Charles and Shirley Hopper, Maud, Joe and Julie Hopper, Pleasant Grove, Wilford and Alma Ruth Hopper, Pink, and John and Doris Hopper, Maud; and one sister and brother-in-law, Juanita and Ted Phillips, Maud; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family as well as a number of friends in Ocean Springs and Maud.

J.C. Goforth
Graveside services for J.C. Goforth, 70, father of Seminole resident Carson Goforth Jr., and brother of Euguene, Bobby and Charlie Goforth, also of Seminole, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at Little Cemetery.
Rev. Adrian V. Martin will officiate at the services. Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home.
Goforth died Sunday, Oct. 17, 1999 in Oklahoma City.
He was born Oct. 14, 1929 near Prague to Fred and Edna Mae (Woodruff) Goforth.
He was a retired manufacturer of commercial air conditioners.
Goforth was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include one son, Carson Goforth Jr., Seminole; three daughters, Linda Koehler, Brenda June West and Sherry Sims, all of Oklahoma City; four brothers, Bill Goforth, Prague, Eugene Goforth, Bobby Goforth and Charlie Goforth, all of Seminole; one sister, Doris Novotny, Prague; 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Ardelia Gordon
Funeral services for lifelong Seminole County resident Ardelia I. Gordon, 74, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday at Macedonia Baptist Church.
Rev. W. Cooper of First Baptist Church in Lima will officiate at the service. Burial will follow at Lima Cemetery under the direction of Myers Mortuary.
Gordon died Friday, Nov. 5, 1999 at Deaconess Hospital, Oklahoma City.
She was born July 31, 1925 in Seminole County to Mr. and Mrs. Ted Island.
Gordon was employed as a dietary helper at Lima School Cafeteria until her retirement.
She had lived her entire life in Lima, and attended the First Baptist Church of Lima.
She was married to George Gordon; he preceded her in death.
Gordon was also preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include three brothers, Oscar Island, Spencer, and Joe Island and Leafus Island both of Lima; three sisters, Vera Taylor, Oklahoma City, Rosie Woodfork, Norman, and Leola Hardwick, Lima.

Norma Gordon
Funeral services for former Wewoka resident Norma Jean Gordon, 41, were held today at McKay-Davis Funeral Home in Oklahoma City.
Interment followed at Westwood Cemetery in Wewoka.
Gordon died Dec. 25, 1999 from gunshot wounds during a family argument.
She was born Feb. 11, 1958 in Wewoka to Rogers Gordon and Gertrude DeWitt.
A 1976 graduate from Wewoka High School, she moved to Oklahoma City, where she was employed at Best Western Saddleback Inn, and later at Clarion Hotel.
Gordon was preceded in death by one son, one brother, one stepsister and her parents.
Survivors include two daughters, Larrietta Gordon, Oklahoma City, and Sharon Gordon, Denver, Colo; one son, Chadd Edwards, Seminole; seven sisters, Deloris Barkus and Mildred Gordon, both of Palo Alto, Calif., Irene Nichols, Spencer, Mayetta Bowden, JoAnn Lambrett, Shirley Thompson and Marsha Walker, all of Oklahoma City;
Also surviving her are two step brothers, Alvin Jones and Vernell Thompson, both of Oklahoma City; nine grandchildren; and her companion, Otis Floyd Jr., Oklahoma City.

Salatelo Gordon
Funeral services for Wewoka resident Salatelo David Gordon, 23, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday at Macedonia Baptist Church.
Rev. F. Washington of Macedonia Baptist Church will officiate at the service. Burial will follow at Westwood Cemetery under the direction of Myers Mortuary.
A viewing is scheduled for Wednesday.
Gordon was found with a gunshot wound to his neck at Sportsman’s Lake Cove 5 on Wednesday, May 5, 1999.
He was born Feb. 10, 1976 in Wewoka to Norman Jean Gordon.
Survivors include his mother, of Oklahoma City; one daughter, Aubree Proctor, Wewoka; one son, Salatelo David Gordon Jr., Wewoka; one brother, Chad Edwards, Wewoka; and two sisters, Larietta Gordon, Oklahoma City, and Shavon Gordon, Denver, Colo.

Hurshel Goss
MAUD - Funeral services for Hurshel H. Goss, 90, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church.
Burial will follow in Cummings Cemetery, Maud, under the direction of Knight Funeral Home.
Mr. Goss died Monday at Shawnee Regional Hospital.
He was born June 2, 1908, in Asher to William Newton and Virginia Maud (McClure) Goss.
He married Crystal Van Meter on March 6, 1926, in Okmulgee. She preceded him in death on Oct. 8, 1995.
Mr. Goss was a member of the Maud Chamber of Commerce and Rotary Club and was a 32nd degree Mason.
He was a strong civic leader for Maud, instrumental in the opening of Citizen State Bank.
Mr. Goss was a merchant for 35 years, owning and operating Goss Dry Goods.
He was also a member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, where he served as head usher for many years.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Kay D. and Darlene Goss, Maud; four grandsons, Steve and Terrie Goss, Maud, David and Angie Goss, Norman, Rodger and Tiffany Goss of Oklahoma City, and Gregg and Joanie Goss, Spiro; one granddaughter, Nancy and Paul Lucy, Maud; eight great-grandchildren, Justin, Cody, Blake, Keri, Jake and Jayce Goss, J.P. and Jeff Lucy.
Goss was preceded in death by one son, one grandson, his parents, four brothers and two sisters.

Leila Gourd
DURANT - Funeral services for former Seminole resident Leila Gourd, 92, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at Abundant Life Temple Church in Durant.
Rev. Randell Drake will officiate at the service. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 6-7 p.m. tonight at Coffey Funeral Home.
Gourd died Wednesday, May 12, 1999 in Norman.
She was born Nov. 2, 1906 in St. Mary’s Kan. To Steven Oscar and Matilda Estella (Hoobler) Smith.
Gourd was a retired bookkeeper for Bryan Memorial Hospital.
She was a member of the Abundant Life Temple Church. Her husband, Rev. E.A. Gourd, was in the process of building the church when he died.
The wife of a minister, Gourd lived in Seminole for a time, when her husband pastored a church here.
Gourd was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church Eastern Conference, and was a secretary for the Women's Auxiliary.
She married her husband on Dec. 19, 1931 in Oklahoma City; he preceded her in death on March 17, 1963.
Gourd was also preceded in death by her parents, one granddaughter, three sisters and two brothers.
Survivors include two daughters, Betty Robinson, Purcell, and Jean Earles, Edmond; and seven grandchildren.
Pallbearers are listed as Harvey Earles, Brad Earles, Stan Earles, Bob Robinson, Michael Mashburn and Dale Ford.
