Funeral services for Sasakwa resident Richard Guess, 66, are scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday at Macedonia Baptist Church.
Rev. E.G. Bert of St. Stephens Missionary Baptist Church will officiate at the services. Burial will follow at Westwood Cemetery under the direction of Myers Mortuary.
Guess died Tuesday, May 11, 1999 of injuries received in an automobile accident.
He was born Sept. 4, 1932 in Maud. He lived for many years in Sasakwa.
He was married to Georgetta Guess, who survives him of the home.
Guess was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers.
Other survivors include two daughters, Shelby Patton, Oklahoma City, and Lavon King, Tulsa; four sons, Richie Guess, Oklahoma City, Richard Davis, Holdenville, Greg Guess, Ada and Lef Andrew Guess, Ponca City; two brothers, Calvin Guess, Prague, and Larry Guess, Sasakwa; five sisters, Fayetta Watts, Wewoka, Juanita Guess, Kansas, Bertha Moore, Evelyn Nichols and Wanda Davis, all of Wewoka; and 12 grandchildren.

Corene Guess
Funeral services for longtime Wewoka resident Corene Maxine Guess, 63, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday at Southeast COGIC Headquarters, 4019 S. Penn, Oklahoma City.
Dr. Bobby L. Williams of New Jerusalem Temple COGIC will officiate at the service. Burial will follow at Westwood Cemetery under the direction of Myers Mortuary.
Guess died Saturday, Jan. 23, 1999 in Midwest City.
She was born Feb. 20, 1935 in Wetumka.
Survivors include one daughter, Theresa Hines, Oklahoma City; two sons, Lee Andrew Guess, Ponca City and Leon Isaiah Cato, McAlester; two brothers, Willie Osborne, Menlo Park, Calif., and Mackilee Samilton, Wetumka; 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are listed as Bobby Williams II, Trent Colbert, Gail Barnett, Darrell Whittley, Howard Lewis and James Mustin Sr.

Lee Guinn
SHAWNEE - Funeral services for Lee Oxley Guinn, 92, mother of a Konawa resident, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel.
Rev. Waldo Young and Rev. Delbert Akin will officiate at the service. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
Guinn died Tuesday, April 20, 1999 at a Shawnee Nursing Home.
She was born Aug. 22, 1906 in Tarter to Howard and Purley Oxley and attended school in Tarter.
Guinn was a graduate of the first class of licensed practical nurses at the old City Hospital.
She was a member of the North East Free Will Baptist Church.
She married Earl J. Guinn on Sept. 17, 1922 in Konawa. He preceded her in death Dec. 22, 1986.
Guinn was also preceded in death by two daughters, Vesta Sparks and Earlene Haas, four brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include three daughters, Beulah Kinnamon, Shawnee, Beatrice Haas, Konawa, and Wanda Sangster, Earlsboro; one brother, Jessie Oxley, Mill Creek, and one sister, Essie Johnson, Dunnigan, Calif.; 13 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 22 great-great-grandchildren.

Violet Hailey
Funeral services for Konawa resident Violet Cletis Hailey, 94, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday at United Methodist Church in Konawa.
Rev. Pam Shirk will officiate at the services. Burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery under the direction of Pickard Funeral Home.
Hailey died Thursday March 25, 1999 in Ada.
She was born Nov. 30, 1904 in Shawnee, I.T.
Hailey graduated from East Central University, and had lived in the Konawa area for the past 50 years.
A retired school teacher, Hailey was a lifetime member of the Konawa United Methodist Church, the Rebeccas, Eastern Star Lodge, The White Shrine, Ameranth, Home Extension Club and Retired Teachers Association.
She married Vitchel Hailey on Nov. 29, 1930.
Survivors include one son, Mike Hailey, Konawa; one daughter, Mary Ann Miller, Konawa; two sisters, Etta Childers, Clovis, Calif., and Geneva Cox, Kerman, Calif.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Floyd Hale
Graveside services for longtime Seminole resident Floyd C. Hale, 83, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
Rev. Carl Whitfield will officiate at the service. Arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Hale died Thursday, May 27, 1999 at the VA Hospital in Oklahoma City.
He was born May 6, 1916 in Deirks, Ark. to Phillip and Myrtle (Jackson) Hale.
A veteran, he service with the US Army during World War II.
Hale worked as a barber in Oklahoma City, Konawa and Wewoka, and lived most of his life in Seminole.
He was raised in the Church of Christ, and later became a Baptist.
Hale married Mildred Louise Hale on Dec. 31, 1978. She preceded him in death Oct. 16, 1995.
He was also preceded in death by his parents and nine brothers and sisters.
Survivors include four sons, Chris Hale, Maud, Richard Bateman, Seminole, John Bateman, Shawnee and Mel Bateman, Phoenix, Ariz.; one sister, Anna V. Shaw, Konawa; 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and close friend and caregiver, Nellie Thompson, Seminole.

Jacob Hale
Funeral services for longtime Cromwell area resident Jacob Hale, 52, are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Monday at Greenleaf Baptist Church, Okemah.
Wake services are scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Stout Chapel. The procession to Greenleaf Baptist Church will arrive at 4 p.m. Sunday.
Interment will be at Little Quarsarty Cemetery.
Hale died Thursday, Jan. 14, 1999 at his home in Okemah.
He was born Dec. 2, 1946 in Cromwell to Billy and Lucy (Coker) Hale.
He was raised in the Cromwell area and attended school in Excelsior, and graduated from Butner High School in 1965.
Hale later attended Haskell Indian Junior College in Lawrence, Kan., where he was listed on the honor roll.
He was employed as a construction worker all his life.
Survivors include four brothers, David Hale, Cromwell, Donald Hale, Glenpool, Anderson Hale, Bixby, and Jasper Hale, Hominy; and six sisters, Marie Berryhill, Okemah, Mary Louise Randall, Oklahoma City, Betsy Sue Hewitt, Okemah, Carolyn Tucker, Tulsa, Maggie Coon, Cromwell and Joyce Ann Hale, Tulsa.
Pallbearers are listed as Roger Frank, Ronnie Frank, Reuben Dunn, Kenneth Cooper, Frankie Coachman and Terry Mosley.
Honorary bearers include Eddie Frank, Franklin Lowe, Eddie McKane, Billy McKane and Manuel Coon.

Inez Hall
PRAGUE — Graveside services for Inez Hall, 84, mother of a Seminole resident, are scheduled for noon Friday at the Prague Cemetery, under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home.
Hall died on Monday, May 31, 1999, in Oklahoma City.
She was born May 30, 1915 in Greenbriar, Ark., to James Augustus Glover and Carrie (Kidd) Glover.
Hall was a resident of Canny Creek until February 1999 when she moved to Meeker.
She was married to Charlie P. Hall; he survives her of their home in Meeker.
She was a member of the Canny Creek Baptist Church and was the owner and operator of a restaurant and real estate business before retiring.
Other survivors include one son, Bill Blackhawk, Paradise Valley, Ariz., one brother, Gene Glover, Seminole, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Lessie ‘Margaret’ Hall
Graveside services for lifelong Seminole County resident Lessie "Margaret" Hall, 79, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday at Little Cemetery.

Hall died Thursday, Aug. 19, 1999 at her home.
She was born April 23, 1920 in Wetumka to Henry and Sarah (Eakman) Wilkerson.
A homemaker and mother, she was married to Bill Alfred Hall on Oct. 15, 1942 in Seminole.
He survives her of the home.
Hall was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Shirley June Hall in 1953, four brothers and one sister.
Other survivors include one son, Wayne Hall, Shawnee; one daughter, Carol Ann Hartman, Shawnee; three sisters, Jewel Lacy and Stella Berger, both of Oklahoma City, and Velma Chester, Minco; and three grandsons.
