Funeral services for Sasakwa resident Eula Mae Harjo, 74, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at Bird Creek Baptist Church.
Rev. Bryant Jesse will officiate at the service. Burial will follow at Harjo-Bowlegs cemetery under the direction of Stout Funeral Home.
Wake services are set for 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Stout Chapel. The procession to Bird Creek Baptist Church will begin at 3:30 p.m. Sunday.
Harjo died Friday, June 18, 1999 in Shawnee.
She was born Oct. 29, 1924 in Sasakwa to George and Lillie Harjo.
Raised in Sasakwa, she attended Cully School, and later Chilocco School near Arkansas, Oklahoma.
Harjo taught bilingual and worked as a teacher’s aid for 22 years in Sasakwa.
She was a member of Bird Creek Baptist Church.
Harjo was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Eulene Miller and one granddaughter.
Survivors include one son, Isam Bowlegs Jr.,; two daughters, Bess Bowlegs, Sasakwa and Laura Lee Osborne, Elmore City; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are listed as Daniel Lindstrom, Bobby Osborne, Johnny Ray Wilson, Chris Caballero, Alex Caballero, and Junior Harjo.
Honorary bearers include Lee Cloud, Dave Bowlegs and Ted Underwood.

Josephine Harjo
Funeral services for Josephine Stewart Harjo, 46, are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Rock Springs Baptist Church in Sasakwa.
Wake services will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday at Stout Chapel in Wewoka.
Interment will be at the Davis Family Cemetery under the direction of Stout Funeral Home.
Houston Tiger will officiate the services.
Harjo died on September 4, 1999 in Seminole.
Harjo was born on Jan. 18, 1953 in Talihina to Katie Stewart.
She was raised and attended school in Sasakwa before she moved to Wewoka, where she remained a resident until her death.
On June 27, 1987 Harjo married Andrew Harjo, who survives her of the home.
She is preceded in death by two sons, Raylon and David Harjo; and her mother.
Harjo is also survived by two brothers, Vincent Harjo, Stilwell and Robert Wolf, Jr., Holdenville; three sisters, Lillie Petete, Moore, Esther Herrera, Tulsa and Louisa Stewart, Jay.
Pallbearers are listed as Willie Harjo, Reggie McGirt, Stefan Harjo, Jimmy Taylor, Anthony McGirt and David O’Quinn.

Matilda Harjo
Funeral services for Wewoka resident Matilda Maxine "Peggy" Harjo, 70, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at Hilltop Presbyterian Church in Wewoka.
Robert Kernel and Kelly Tiger will officiate at the service. Interment will follow at Stevens family cemetery under the direction of Stout Funeral Home.
Wake services are set for 6 p.m. tonight at Stout Chapel.
Harjo died Tuesday, June 8, 1999 at her Wewoka home.
She was born March 25, 1929 in Wewoka to Josey and Mollie Stevens.
Harjo attended Sams School, Wewoka High School, Bacone College and East Central University.
She also attended graduate classes at the University of Arizona, Tucson, and the University of Kansas.
Harjo was employed by the Bureau of Indian Affairs at the Haskell Indian Nations University in Lawrence, Kan., for 30 years.
After retiring in 1987, she returned to Wewoka. She was a member of the Hilltop Presbyterian Church, the Arts and Crafts Club of Wewoka, and listed on the Seminole Nation Museum and Historical Society Founders Chart.
She was married to Jacob Harjo; he survives her of the home.
Other survivors include a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers are listed as Andy Johnson, Jeremy Postoak, Steve Johnson, Stanley Johnson, William Johnson and Lewis Johnson.

Allen Harjo Sr.
Funeral services for Seminole County native Allen Harjo Sr., 80, were held today at High Spring Indian Baptist Church, Konawa.
Bryant Jesse officiated at the service. Interment followed at the church cemetery under the direction of Stout Funeral Home.
Harjo died Saturday, Jan. 30, 1999 at Southwest Medical Center.
He was born May 28, 1918 in Vamoosa to Cheparny Edward and Cynda (Charty) Harjo.
Harjo was raised and attended school in the Vamoosa area, and later attended college in Southeastern State in Durant and Murray State in Tishomingo.
He was employed in the oilfield, and has also driven Ukes in Washington.
Harjo married Grace Factor on Aug. 22, 1944 in Oklahoma City. She survives him of the home.
He was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters, Lula Harjo, Felix Harjo, Hattie (Harjo) Frye, Viola (Harjo) Spain, Pauline Harjo, Atlan Harjo, Andrew Harjo and Ambrose Cully.
Other survivors include seven children, Carl Franklin Harjo, Oklahoma City, Allen Harjo Jr., Tucson, Ariz., Carolyn (Harjo) Littlefield, Maryland, Bruce Kirby Harjo, Warren Steven Harjo and Samuel Isaac Harjo, all of Oklahoma City, and Cynda Marie (Harjo) Goddard, Moore; one brother, Carlee "Jack" Harjo, Vamoosa; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Carl Lee Harjo Jr., Terry Allen Harjo, Jeffery Lee Harjo, James E. Shaw, Billy Spain, and Emman "Shot" Spain.
Honorary pallbearers were Dale Harjo and David Harjo.

Rev. Edmond Harjo Jr.
Funeral services for Wewoka resident Rev. Edmond June "Peewee" Harjo Jr., 47, are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Monday at Spring Baptist Church, Sasakwa.
Rev. Leon Postoak and Rev. Billy Joe Harjo will officiate at the service. Interment will follow at Spring Church cemetery under the direction of Stout Funeral Home.
Harjo died Thursday, Jan. 14, 1999 at his Wewoka home.
He was born Jan. 8, 1952 in Ada to Edmond and Lillie Harjo.
He was baptized by Rev. John Factor, pastor of Bird Creek Indian Baptist Church on Oct. 29, 1966, and was a long time member of Spring Baptist Church, where he served for many years before joining Central Baptist Church, Oklahoma City.
He was preceded in death by both parents.
Survivors include his wife, Diana and three children, Sarah Jolene, Jonathan James, and Rachel Marie, all of the home; one brothers, Monroe Harjo, Altus; and two sisters, Amy Harper, Sasakwa, and Louella Parker, Albuquerque, N.M.
Pallbearers are listed as Randy Epperly, Jefferson Harjo Jr., Wilbert Harjo, Gilbert Harjo, Glen Harjo, Dennis Factor, Joe Coon and Raymond Cully.

Cem-Se Harjo Tiger
Funeral services for Cem-Se J. Harjo Tiger, three-month-old son of Wewoka residents Jennifer Harjo and George William Tiger III, are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Rock Springs Baptist Church.
Rev. Franklin Harjo and Rev. Edward Jimboy will officiate at the service. Interment will follow at the Tiger family cemetery in Wolf under the direction of Stout Funeral Home.
Harjo Tiger died Thursday, Feb. 18, 1999 at Children’s Hospital in Oklahoma City.
He was born Nov. 11, 1998 in Oklahoma City.
Harjo Tiger was preceded in death by grandparents Jonah Harjo in 1966 and George Tiger Jr. in 1993; great-grandparents Frank Walters in 1984, George Tiger Sr. in 1983, Eunice Cully in 1998 and Sukey Foster in 1971.
Survivors include his parents, of the home; two sisters, Joanah Harjo Tiger and DeMya Harjo Tiger, both of the home; grandparents Jimsey and Betsy Harjo, Wewoka, and Debra Tiger, Konawa; and great-grandparents, Mary Tiger, Konawa, Effie Lena Harjo and Susie Walters, both of Wewoka.

Clifton Harris
NOWATA - Funeral services for former Seminole resident Clifton Harris, 104, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday at Stumpff-Nowata Funeral Home Chapel.
Idus England of Seminole will officiate at the services. Following the services, Harris will be removed to Stokes, Ark., where services are set for 10 a.m. Thursday at Church of Christ with Bennie Williams officiating.
Interment will follow at Harris Cemetery in Stokes.
Harris died Friday, Nov. 12, 1999 at Claremore Veterans Center.
He was born Jan. 22, 1895 at Brockett, Ark. to John M. and Sarah Isabelle (Collier) Harris.
He grew up and received his education in the Brockett, Kan. area until coming to Oklahoma with the wheat harvest as a young man.
Harris served with the US Army in Belgium and France during World War I.
As a result of his efforts during the war, he was awarded the honorary rank of Full Colonel by the Oklahoma National Guard on June 20, 1998.
On March 16, 1999, Gov. Frank Keating declared "Clifton Harris Day."
At that time, Harris was also recognized by the United States Congress with a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition, and he was personally presented with the French National Order of Legion Medal by French Consul Pierre LePetit for his service in France.
In 1925, Harris came to Oklahoma and began work for ITIO Oil Company in Oilton.
He moved with the company to Seminole until 1944, when he moved to Richmond, Calif. and worked in the shipyards.
Harris returned to the family farm in Arkansas in 1945, then back to Seminole in 1956.
He became active as a cabinet maker in the Seminole area until his retirement in 1982, when he made his home in Nowata.
Harris continued to make furniture after his retirement.
He was a member of the Church of Christ, and served as a church elder for over 50 years.
He married Lilye Jane Morris on Aug. 18, 1922 in Ingram, Ark. She preceded him in death Jan. 18, 1994.
Harris was also preceded in death by his parents, 13 brothers and sisters; and one daughter, Bonnie Evans in Sept., 1993.
Survivors include one daughter, Vernell (Nellie) Creech, Nowata; five grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Casket escorts will include Craig Creech, Chuck Creech, Paul Creech, Cliff Creech, Brandon Creech, Collin Creech, Andy Creech, Justin Creech, Shane Autrey, Dustin Autrey and Jeffrey Evans.
A memorial has been established to the 10-33 Emergency Team, 321 E. Cherokee, Nowata, Okla., 74048.
