Graveside services for longtime area resident, Anna Norris Heath, 83, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at Little Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Heath died Wednesday, March 17, 1999 in the Henryetta Hospital.
She was born Nov. 16, 1914 in Blaine County to James Henry Tate and Myrtle (Shirley) Tate.
Heath was a homemaker and a cook for the Bowlegs School System.
She was a member of the Walnut Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three husbands, Wood Norris, Bob Adams and Bill Heath, two brothers and two grandchildren.
Survivors include two sons, Jim Norris, Seminole and Willie Norris, Bartlesville, one daughter, Anita Stinnett, Henryetta, seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

John ‘Jack’ Heath
Funeral services for longtime Seminole resident John "Jack" M. Heath, 77, are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church.
Dr. Kelvin Moseley will officiate at the services. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Heath died Tuesday, Nov. 16, 1999 at Shawnee Regional Hospital.
He was born May 7, 1922 in Wetumka to John William and Ida Mae (Blackburn) Heath.
A veteran, Heath served in the US Navy during World War II.
Heath moved to Seminole from St. Louis in 1953, and has been a resident here ever since.
He was employed with Tinker Air Force Base until his retirement until April 1, 1986.
Heath was a member of First Baptist Church.
He married Juanita Clark on May 1, 1949 in Shawnee. She survives him of the home.
Heath was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and one sister.
Other survivors include one son, Ronald W. Heath, Stamford, Conn.; one daughter, Peggy Ann Heath, Woodland, Texas; one sister, Margie Parent, Oklahoma City; and one granddaughter.
Casket bearers are listed as Clyde Sharp, David Stephens, Jack Reynolds, Patrick Garbutt, Owen Melton and James Childers.

Joel Heathcott
Graveside rites for Joel Henry Heathcott, 59, a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Wetumka Cemetery.
Father Basil Keenan, O.S.B., will officiate at the services. Arrangements are under the direction of Williamson Funeral Home, Wetumka.
Heathcott died Sunday, Dec. 26, 1999 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa.
He was born May 14, 1940 in Yeager to Otto and Dessie (Denton) Heathcott.
A veteran, he spent a total of 25 years in active duty with the US Army, US Army National Guard and US Army Reserve.
Heathcott retired as the First Sergeant of Co. D 120th Engineer Battalion at Muskogee.
He also served 12 years with the Wetumka Police Department, 10 years as Wetumka City Manager and 15 years with Wetumka Fire Department.
A longtime member of the Wetumka Kiwanis Club, Heathcott was also active in the original Wetumka Jaycees and American Legion, and worked with Little League for 10 years or more.
He also volunteered many hours with the Wetumka Senior Citizens Center and area nursing homes.
Heathcott was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church sing 1985.
Survivors are listed as his wife of more than 25 years, Evelyn Heathcott, of the home; two sons, Danny of Iowa and Chris, of Wetumka; three brothers, Gene, of Mounds, Leonard of Lawton and Dewayne, of Pryor; two sisters, Euvonne Harrison, Tulsa, and Louella Ray, Wetumka; and three grandchildren.
Pallbearers are listed as Elizabeth Brooks, Junel McGuiness, Jerry Hughes, Tony Pack, Earl Smith and T.J. Carter.
Honorary bearers include Joey Beth Smith, Pat Griggs, Clark Chastain, Ben Givens and Cathy Brown.

Ruby Heffley
Funeral services for longtime Seminole resident Ruby Jane Heffley, 70, are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Monday at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel.
Rev. Merle Long will officiate at the service. Burial will follow at Little Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Heffley died Thursday, Nov. 11, 1999 at Baptist Hospital, Oklahoma City.
She was born Aug. 17, 1929 in Coalgate to Charlie and Euila (Westfall) Driskill.
Heffley worked as a nurse’s aide at Seminole Municipal Hospital for seven years.
She was the pastor wife of Bible Chapel Church, a very loving mother and loved God.
Heffley was active in Bible Chapel, in all the church activities.
Her family was her life.
She married Leon Heffley on Sept. 9, 1948 in Shawnee. He survives her of the home.
Heffley was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and four brothers.
Other survivors are one son, Jerry Leon Heffley, Seminole; two daughters and their husbands, Jeannine and Les Robinson, and Vicky and Charles Trent, all of Berryville, Ark.
Also surviving her are her grandchildren, Adriana Glover, Stratford, Lesley Ann and Bryan Odam, Tulsa, Jamie Robinson, Berryville, Ark., Christy Trent, Grand Island, Neb., and Amy and Jimmy Best of San Diego, Calif.; and three great-grandchildren, Jordan, Justin and Trey Odam.
Pallbearers will include Kenneth Heffley, Joe Heffley, Robert Heffley, James Heffley Jr., Jeff Driskill, Jerry Poff and Ivan Pokrefky.

Jack ‘Papa Jack’ Henderson
Funeral services for Jack C. "Papa Jack" Henderson, 69, father of Seminole resident Jack W. Henderson, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday at Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Shawnee.
Revs. Percy Jerkins and Janie Kirt Morris will officiate at the services. Interment will follow at the church Columbarium under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Home.
Henderson died Sunday, Dec. 26, 1999 at a Shawnee hospital.
He was born Aug. 8, 1930 in Shawnee to O.W. and Carolyn Henderson.
A 1949 graduate of Shawnee High School, Henderson worked at Miller’s Plant Farm in Shawnee for many years, retiring in 1981.
He was a veteran, serving in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.
A lifelong Shawnee resident, Henderson was a member of the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Masonic Lodge, McAlester Consistory, York Rite Bodies, and was a Boy Scout leader for many years, currently with Troop 418 of Meeker.
He was also president of Ada Ostomy Association and editor of their newspaper, a life member of DVA, and on the board of directors of Bennie Kay’s Designs in Shawnee.
Henderson married Betty Holliman in 1954 in Shawnee. She survives him of the home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.
Other survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Melodie and Larry Beauchamp and Brenda and Jim Miles, all of Shawnee; one son and daughter-in-law, Jack W. and Joy Henderson, Seminole; eight grandchildren, Sean and Jon Beauchamp, Shawnee, Christina Lefferts, Oklahoma City, James Albert Miles, Shawnee, Audrey and Tasha Henderson, Branson, Mo., Sara Henderson, Seminole, and Laura Mears, Wewoka; one great-grandson, Seth Michael Lefferts, Oklahoma City.
He was also survived by four brothers, William T. Henderson, Norman, Donald O. Henderson, Van Buren, Ark., Frank L. Henderson, Oklahoma City and James E. Henderson, Hinton; and one sister, Martha Jane Duval, Altus.
The family has suggested memorials be made to the Dick Briscoe Memorial Park Fund, in care of ARVEST American National Bank.

Ed ‘Pooge’ Hendryx
Funeral services for longtime Seminole resident Ed "Pooge" Hendryx, 69, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel.

Hendryx died Saturday, July 3, 1999 at Baptist Hospital, Oklahoma City.
He was born March 19, 1930 in Seminole to Clyde and Mary Ellen (Peace) Hendryx.
Hendryx worked in the oilfield most of his life, and was the owner of Seminole Tank Service since 1961.
He married Mary Imogene (Fleming) Hendryx on April 5, 1949 in Holdenville. She survives him of the home.
Hendryx was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Hershell Hendryx in 1998 and Bill Hendryx.
Other survivors include two daughters, Susan Kelley, Oklahoma City, Lori Hendryx, Seminole; four sons, Mike Hendryx, Ronnie Hendryx, Jeff Hendryx and Scott Hendryx, all of Seminole; three sisters, Juanita Mann, Shawnee, Dorothy Howell, Wiggins, Colo., and Betty Hendryx, Jones; 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Pall bearers are listed as Bob Swearingen, Tommy Parks, Ronnie Conner, Brett Breedlove, Wayne Babb, Glenn Cook, George Higdon and Don Breedlove.

Terry Henley
Graveside funeral services for lifelong Seminole resident Terry Dean Henley, 37, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Chapel, Resthaven Memorial Park in Shawnee.

Henley died Thursday, April 1, 1999 in Seminole.
He was born Nov. 4, 1961 in Oklahoma City to Harold Dean and Sue Carolyn (Seidel) Henley.
A graduate of the University of Oklahoma, he was employed as a Radiographer at Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City.
Henley was a member of the Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his mother on May 22, 1992.
Survivors include his parents, Harold and Sheryl Henley, Seminole; grandparents, Glen and Mildred Henley, Henryetta, and Margaret and Fred Seidel, Moore; one step-brother, Leroy Kramer, Dallas; and two step-sisters, Lori Kramer, Okemah and Sharon Bycko, Oklahoma City.
Honorary pallbearers are listed as Paul Flemming, Noel Thomas, Leroy Kramer and Witek Bycko.
