Funeral services for longtime Sasakwa and Wewoka resident Ruth Houston, 90, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday at Church of Christ in Wewoka.
Mack Lyon and Johnny Hinton will officiate at the service. Arrangements are under the direction of Stout Funeral Home.
Houston died Sunday, May 30, 1999.
She was born July 27, 1908 to Stonewall J. and Sarah Jane (Brown) Blankenship.
Houston married James Audie Houston on June 5, 1925. He preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and one grandson.
Survivors include two daughters, Veta Moore, Wewoka, and Joann Stewart, Huntsville, Ala.; one brother, Gene Blankenship, Bakersfield, Calif.; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are listed as Kelly Bartman, Robbie Stewart, Jeff Reid, David Reid, Tommy Dale Harris and Guy Tucker.
Honorary bearers include Dewey Muirhead, Durward Tucker, Ted Tucker, Cato Jones and Randy Sanders.
The family has suggested that expressions of sympathy may be made to Search and Hosice of Shawnee Regional Home Health.

Betty Howard
Funeral services for longtime Seminole resident Betty Opal Howard, 80, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel.
Dr. Kelvin Moseley will officiate at the service. Burial will follow at Little Cemetery.
Howard died Friday, March 26, 1999 at Seminole Estates.
She was born May 9, 1918 in Thornburg, Ark. to Henry Loftis and Sarah Cline.
A Baptist, Howard worked as a nurses’ aid at Shawnee Regional Hospital until her retirement in 1984.
She married Sylvester Howard to Aug. 17, 1935 in Hartford, Ark. He preceded her in death on April 18, 1994.
She is also preceded in death by her parents, one son, one grandson and one sister.
Survivors include four sons, Harley, Jimmy and Ken, all of Seminole, and Rick Howard of Shawnee; three daughters, Betty Johnson, Seminole, Gail Anderson, Norman, and Sylvia Graves, Perry; three brothers and sisters, Marvin Loftis, and Alta Harchell, both of Seminole and Virginia Rush, Moore; 27 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Stephen Howard
Funeral services for Wewoka resident Stephen Lee Howard, 16, are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Stephens Catholic Church, Holdenville.
Father Matthew J. Brown, O.S.B., will officiate at the service. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery under the direction of Stout Funeral Home.
Rosary services are set for 7:15 p.m. Sunday at the Stout Chapel.
Howard died Friday, March 12, 1999 in an auto accident.
He was born Feb. 17, 1983 in Tulsa to Philip and Jane Howard.
He was a member of the Catholic Church and attended the First Baptist Youth Group.
A sophomore at Wewoka High School, Howard maintained a 4.0 grade point average and was the class treasurer.
He was a member of the Oklahoma and National Honor Society, and was a science fair winner and a representative during the Hanging of the Green.
Howard was a life Boy Scout, and was working on his Eagle Badge.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Max Glaze, and Margaret and Robert Howard.
Survivors include his parents, of the home; one brother, John Howard; grandmother June Glaze.
The family requests that memorials be made to Boy Scout Troop #426.

Ozie Howell
Funeral services for longtime Seminole County resident Ozie Mae Howell, 85, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel.
Rev. Doyle Long will officiate at the service. Burial will follow at Wolf Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Howell died Thursday, March 11, 1999 at Baptist Hospital, Oklahoma City.
She was born Dec. 3, 1913 in Vernon, Ala. to Thomas and Zelma Yerby. She moved to Seminole County, and had lived here for 80 years.
A homemaker, Howell attended Trinity Baptist Church.
She married Dan Howell on June 14, 1946 in Gainesville, Texas. He survives her of the home.
Other survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Charles L. and Joann Posey, Seminole; three grandchildren, Brad and Phillip Posey, and Laura Long; and seven great-grandchildren.
Casket bearers are listed as Brad Posey, Phillip Posey, Chris Posey, Monty Yerby, Josh Yerby and Matthew Yerby.

Earl Huckleberry
Funeral services for Earl E. Huckleberry, 88, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at Swearingen Funeral Chapel. Chris Stinnett will officiate.
Burial will follow in Vamoosa Cemetery.
Huckleberry died Thursday at Pioneer Nursing Home.
He was born May 23, 1910, in Vamoosa to Albert and Betty (McFarland) Huckleberry.
He lived in Seminole County, principally in Maud, all his life, retiring in 1985 from Rudmon Oil. He attended the Church of Christ.
He married Dollie Mae Wynn on Sept. 1, 1933, in Seminole; she died July 27, 1991.
Huckleberry was also preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and one sisters.
Survivors include one daughter, Doris Yerby, Wolf; two grandchildren, Monty and Rick Yerby; and three great-grandchildren.

Marie Hughes
Funeral services for Marie Hughes, 64, mother of Wewoka resident Phillip Floyd, were held today at Cooper Funeral Chapel.
Interment followed at Tecumseh Cemetery.
Hughes died Friday, May 7, 1999 in Texas City, Texas.
She was born April 22, 1935 in Tecumseh, and attended school there.
A homemaker, Hughes moved to Pasadena, Texas in 1968.
She married Joe P. Hughes on July 9, 1955. He preceded her in death on July 15, 1986.
Hughes was also preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include one daughter, Sharon Davenport; three sons, Joe Hughes, Jerry Hughes, and Phillip Floyd; three brothers, Harry Linduff, Don Linduff and Troy Linduff; and five grandchildren.

Roman Hulbutta
Funeral services for longtime Wewoka resident Roman Hulbutta, 62, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at Sand Creek Eufaula Church.
Rev. Freeman Whitlock and Rev. Thomas Billie will officiate at the services. Interment will follow at Tiger Cemetery under the direction of Stout Funeral Home.
Wake services are scheduled for 6 p.m. tonight at Stout Chapel, and the procession to Sand Creek Eufaula Church will commence at 2 p.m. Saturday.
Hulbutta died March 10, 1999 at his home.
He was born Oct. 9, 1936 in Seminole County to Johnson and Sallie Hulbutta.
Hulbutta was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Raymond Hulbutta; and one stepson, Jimsey Hulbutta.
Survivors include four brothers, Ramsey Hulbutta, Geary, Johnny Hulbutta and Paul Hulbutta, both of Wewoka, and Ronnie Hulbutta, Holdenville; three sisters, Nancy Hulbutta and Semaria Grass, both of Wewoka, and Nelsie Yargee, Shawnee.
Pallbearers are listed as Chavez Jones, Jeff Harjo, Randy, Chris, Roger and Johnson Hulbutta.

Funeral services for former Seminole County resident Ethel Johnson Hull, 90, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday at Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel.
Rev. Joe Faircloth will officiate at the service, assisted by Rev. Sam Hendry. Burial will follow at Little Cemetery.
Hull died Sunday, Feb. 7, 1999 at a Shawnee Nursing Home.
She was born April 23, 1908 in Stronge City, in Roger Mills County, to Thomas Loranze and Emma Cora (Nichols) Fifer.
Hull attended Keokuk Falls Schools while in Seminole County.
A homemaker, she was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church.
Hull moved to Shawnee in June, 1959 from Ninnekah.
She married Edgar Thornton Johnson on April 30, 1926 in Tecumseh. He preceded her in death May 26, 1959.
She married Arthur E. Hull on Sept. 2, 1977 in Shawnee; he preceded her in death May 18, 1987.
Hull was also preceded in death by a grandson.
Survivors include four daughters, Willie Mae Kezer, Colton, Calif., Evelyn Godfrey, Shawnee, Benita Myrick and Carolyn Brewer, both of Midwest City; one son, Thomas Johnson, Shawnee; one sister, Mae Luck, Odessa, Texas; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
