Maudie Keeley

Graveside services for lifelong Seminole resident Maudie Fay Keeley, 77, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.

Dr. Kelvin Moseley will officiate at the service. Arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.

Keeley died Saturday, April 17, 1999, in Seminole.

She was born July 26, 1921 to Lydia Faye (Ham) Colwell.

A homemaker, she married Sanford "Tom" Keeley, who preceded her in death.

Survivors include two sons, Wayne Morris Sims, Seminole, and Donald Henry Sims, New York, N.Y.; and five sisters, Dora Pittman, Gladys Watson and Jean Colwell, all of Seminole, Georgia Ham, Shawnee and Jessie Hedera, Midwest City.

Andrea Keesee

Funeral services for Wewoka resident Andrea Gale Keesee, 37, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday at Macedonia Baptist Church.

Rev. Clarence Prevost of Middle Creek Baptist Church will officiate at the services. Interment will follow at Westwood Cemetery under the direction of Myers Mortuary.

Keesee died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 1999 at Seminole Medical Center.

She was born May 1, 1962 in Ada to William C. Keesee.

Keesee was employed with Action Inc. for the past four years, and a Wewoka resident for five years.

Survivors include her husband, Leroy Dancy, of the home; her father, of Lakewood Calif.; three daughters, Nikki Lavonne, Crystial and Venessa, all of the home; and two sons, Devin Elijah and Isaiah Marquee, both of the home; and one sister, Gwendolyn Kay.

Elsie Kelley

Funeral services for Elsie Mae Kelley, 85, mother of a Seminole resident, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at Hudson-Phillips Chapel.

Rev. Wade Scott will officiate at the service. Interment will follow at Holdenville Cemetery.

Kelley died Monday, April 5, 1999 at Holdenville General Hospital.

She was born Nov. 13, 1913 in Dardenelle, Ark., to Madison and Myrtle (Powers) Lowe.

She moved to Oklahoma as a young girl, and had lived in the Holdenville and Hughes County area for the last 60 years.

Kelley was a member of the Capitol Heights Missionary Baptist Church.

She married John Doyle Kelley on Oct. 1, 1931 in Wewoka.

Kelley was preceded in death by two grandsons and one great-grandson.

Survivors include two daughters, Geneva Langwell, Seminole, and Eva Robertson, Guy, Texas; one son, Gerald Kelley, Cleburne, Texas; two sisters, Annabell Dias, Visalia and Thelma Williams, West Plains, Mo; one brother, Madison Lowe Jr., Fair Oaks, Calif.; five grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Paul Kelley

Funeral services for former Seminole resident Paul W. Kelley, 71, were held Tuesday at First Assembly of God Church Gainesville, Texas.

Rev. James Jackson officiated at the services. Burial followed at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home, Gainesville.

Kelley died Saturday, July 10, 1999 at his home.

He was born March 19, 1928 in Tulsa to John A. and Minta Jane Mills Kelley.

A graduate of Seminole High School and then Seminole Junior College, he also attended Oklahoma A&M University in Stillwater.

Kelley moved to Gainesville in 1962 and was employed as an inspector at ARMCO Steel, retiring in 1986.

He was also self-employed preparing tax returns.

Kelley was a member of the First Baptist Church, regularly attending services there, and also the First Assembly of God Church.

He married Thelma Joyce Cormier on June 4, 1958 in Orange. She survives him of the home.

Kelley was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Patrick Howard Kelley on Sept. 17, 1944.

Other survivors include sons Byron J. Kelley, Era, Texas, and Robert J. Kelley, Las Colinas, Texas; sisters Irene Lockhart, Tulsa, Alice Tregea, Placerville and Lela Bennett, Arizona; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were James Lewis, Kenneth Webb, Bill Weatherly, John Roye, Bennie Milburn, and Dr. Gordon Yeargan.

Honorary bearers were Forrest Bennett II, John Tregea, FranV ois Schexnayder and Louis Schmitt.

The family has suggested that expressions of sympathy may be made to Home Hospice of Cooke County, P.O. Box 936, Gainesville, Texas, 76241-0936.

Mildred Kelly

Funeral services for Maud and Ada area resident Mildred Bernice Kelly, 73, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Louis First Baptist Church.

Rev. Sandy Harjo will officiate at the services. Burial will follow at Prairie View Cemetery in Macomb under the direction of Knight Funeral Home,. Maud.

Kelly died Monday, July 5, 1999 at her St. Louis home.

She was born Jan. 29, 1926 in Witcherville Ark. to Gene and Mattie (Hicks) McKinney.

A homemaker, Kelly was a member of the First Baptist Church in St. Louis.

Survivors include three sons, Eddie Riddle, St. Louis, Gary Riddle, Johnsonville, and Ricky Riddle, Greenwood, Ark.; two daughters, Kathy Lamb, Ellinwood, Kan., and Joyce Ware, Tulsa; one sister, Connie Quick, Greenwood, Ark.; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Casket bearers are listed as Roy Hicks, Roy Hicks Jr., Randy Quick, Steve Quick, Eddie Riddle Jr. and John Riddle.

Donna Kepler

Funeral services for lifelong Seminole resident Donna (Self) Kepler, 62, were held Tuesday at Swearingen Funeral Chapel.

Rev. Steve Cline officiated at the service. Burial followed at Cummings Cemetery in Maud under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.

Donna died Saturday, May 8, 1999 at Midwest City Hospital.

She was born Jan. 6, 1937 in Maud, Okla., to Odell Lafayette and Jessie Lena (Martin) Self.

A homemaker, Donna was very active with Trinity Baptist Church in Letha.

She taught Sunday School for many years, was active in the bus ministry, She served as Falls Creek Baptist Youth Camp for many years.

Donna also served as a basketball coach, volunteered as a clown to visit sick kids and shut ins, and helped to home school children.

She was known as the "Pie Lady," but gave most of them away She was also a member of God’s Antiques, a ministry of senior citizens.

In addition, Donna was active in WMU, and the Big A Bible Club Apartment Ministry.

She was an inspiration to all mankind.

Donna was preceded in death by her father and one infant sister, Mary Lena.

She married William "Bill" Hugh Kepler on Dec. 18, 1954 in Seminole, Okla. He survives her of the home.

Other survivors include her mother, of Seminole; one son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Marilyn Kepler, Seminole; two daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Dennis Clagg, Seminole, and Arlene and Allen Broadie, Kansas; two sisters, Lora Jean Beach and Sue Sims, both of Seminole; one brother, Harold Self, Seminole; and grandchildren, Ryan, Lee, Elisha, Zachary, David, Lori and Leigh Broadie, Donald and Tammy Clagg, Michael Cruson and Bethany Grabner; and great-grandchildren Delaney and Joseph Broadie and Riley Grabner.

The family has suggested that expressions of sympathy may be made to Trinity Baptist Church for the Donna Kepler Falls Creek Youth Camp Memorial Fund, which will help send underprivileged kids to camp. The Church address is Rt. 1 Box 37, Seminole, Ok., 74868.

Oscar Kepler

Funeral services for Seminole resident Oscar Lee Kepler, 71, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at Swearingen Funeral Home.

Burial will follow at Little Cemetery.

Kepler died Thursday, Jan. 14, 1999 at Pioneer Nursing Home.

He was born Dec. 19, 1927 in Kiefer to Hugh William and Loccie Leona (Liles) Kepler.

A veteran, Kepler was a Pfc. in the US Army during the Korean Conflict, and served with Company M, 15th Infantry in 1951-52.

He was affiliated with the Baptist church.

Kepler was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Leonard Vaughn Kepler; and one sister, Helen Jean Springwater.

Survivors include four brothers, William Hugh Kepler and his wife, Donna, Seminole, John Earl and Charles Ray Kepler, both of Cushing, and James Lewis Kepler, San Francisco, Calif.; four sisters, Mary Edith Burton, Pawhuska, Wanda May Springwater and her husband, Conard, Loveland, Colo., Naomi Ruth House and Linda Ann Davis and her husband, Jerry, all of Shawnee; and several nieces and nephews.

Casketbearers are listed as Donald Clagg, Zachery Broadie, Lee Broadie, Billy Kepler, Paul Self, Wayne Burton and Steven Burton.

The family requests that memorials be made to Pioneer Nursing Home.

Hubert "Bud" Kiker

Graveside services for former Wewoka resident Hubert Buster "Bud" Kiker, 90, were held Monday at Oakwood Cemetery.

Rev. Johnny Hinton officiated at the service. Burial arrangements were under the direction of Stout Funeral Home.

Kiker died Friday, Jan. 22, 1999 in Austin, Texas.

He was born Aug. 16, 1907 in Double Springs, Ala. to Johnson Davis and Georgia Ann (Hill) Kiker.

He was raised in Wewoka, where he attended school, and after graduation, attended University of Oklahoma.

He worked for the Oklahoma Highway Department just prior to forming Mosher and Kiker Construction Company, which he owned until his retirement.

Kiker married Zoa Nita Kiker Oct. 11, 1934 in Beaver. She survives him of the home.

Other survivors include two daughters, Ann Katzer, Austin, Texas, and Kathy Gholston, Wichita Falls, Texas; one brother, James Kiker, Fayetteville, Ark.; sic grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
