Funeral services for Cordelia Ledbetter, 94, mother of several Seminole residents, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at Hudson-Phillips Funeral home in Holdenville with Rev. Roy Roberson officiating the services.
Ledbetter died on Tuesday, Dec. 14, 1999 in Seminole.
She was born Aug. 30, 1905 in Marion County Arkansas to James and Elizabeth (Clark) Green.
Ledbetter married Ollie Evertt Ledbetter on Jan. 17, 1921 in Hughes County; he preceded her in death in March of 1990.
She spent her life caring for her family.
Ledbetter was also preceded in death her parents and two brothers, Floyd and Lloyd Green.
She is survived by four daughters, Velma Brewer, Holdenville, Thelma Griffith, Seminole, Syble Harris, Seminole and Louise Dobson, Seminole; two sons Floyd Ledbetter, Holdenville and Harvey Ledbetter, Seminole; and 14 grandchildren.

Robert Leerskov
CLAREMORE - Funeral Services for Bob Leerskov, 77, father of Seminole resident Beverly Cowan, are set for 10 a.m. Saturday at the Blue Starr Church of Christ.
Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery under the direction of Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Funeral Service.
Leerskov died Wednesday Sept. 29, 1999 at St. Francis Hospital.
He was born on July 1, 1922 in Claremore to Robert Nelson and Cora Etta Cluck Leerskov.
Leerskov attended Catoosa, Claremore and Tiawah schools, where he graduated in 1942.
He worked for Davis Chevrolet before enlisting in the U.S. Navy in 1942.
Leerskov was honorably discharged on Nov. 30, 1945.
Leerskov married Luella Ailene King on March 20, 1946.
She preceded him in death.
He was a retired Boilermaker and a member of the Blue Starr Church of Christ.
Leerskov was also preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by one son, Robert Leerskov Terrell, Texas; one daughter Beverly Cowan, Seminole; one sister, Flora DeLozier, Oologah; six grandchildren and two great-grand children.
Pallbearers are listed as Kevin Leerskov, Jason Leerskov, Clay Crutchfield, David Crutchfield, Brad McClure, Bruce McClure and Mark Wheatley.
Honorary pallbearers are listed as Larry Caton, Tom Conrad, Frank Eddings Jim Evans and Warren Murray.

Oleta Ligon
Funeral services for Wewoka resident Oleta (Poindexter) Ligon, 67, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Wewoka.
Dan Anderson will officiate at the services. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery under the direction of Stout Funeral Home.
Ligon died Saturday, Dec. 25, 1999.
He was born March 25, 1932 in Pontotoc to Mathew and Marie Poindexter.
Ligon lived in Pontotoc and Latta as a child, a later moved to Cromwell, where she graduated in 1949.
After moving to Wewoka in the 1960’s, she was employed with Dr. Grimes at Wewoka Hospital, and in 1973 was employed as a dispatcher for Wewoka Police Department. She retired in 1993.
Ligon was a member of the First Baptist Church in Wewoka, and the Fraternal Order of Police.
She married Hoyt Ligon on March 4, 1958. He preceded her in death.
Ligon was also preceded in death by her father, her mother and stepfather, William Hopper, and two brothers, Jesse Poindexter and Vernance Poindexter.
Survivors include one son, Gary Ligon, Wewoka, and one grandson.
Pallbearers are listed as Art Garner, Roy Sisco, Charles Sisco, Dave Anderson, Tommy Mackey and Olan Carr.

Dessie Lindsey
Funeral services for Konawa resident Dessie Lindsey, 89, were held at Pickard Funeral Home Chapel.
Rev. Anthony D. Sisemore of Floydada, Texas, officiated at the services, assisted by Rev. Mitch Williams. Interment followed at Vamoosa Cemetery.
Lindsey died Saturday, Dec. 25, 1999.
She was born Jan. 12, 1910 in Vamoosa to Docia and John Birdwell.
A homemaker, Lindsey lived her entire life in Konawa and Vamoosa areas.
She was married to W.C. Lindsey on Nov. 3, 1928 in Anadarko. He preceded her in death on Sept. 20, 1977.
Survivors include her children, Tressie Brower, Konawa, Fay Wright, Oklahoma City, Melvin Lindsey, Konawa, Elvin Lindsey, Graham, Texas, Bobby Lindsey, Oklahoma City, Norma Sisemore, Hale Center, Texas, Almeta Burkhalter, Victoria, Texas, and Shirley Stejskal, Yukon; one sister, Icy Clark, California; 30 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are listed as Johnny Landrum, Chuck Wright, Billy Sisemore, Mitch Sisemore, Greg Burkhalter, and Kevin Burkhalter.
Honorary bearers are Roger Lindsey, Elvin Roy Lindsey and Eric Gill.

Graveside services for former Seminole resident Mamie Gertrude Little, 96, are scheduled for 2 p.m. June 2 at Little Cemetery.
Little died Tuesday, May 25, 1999 at Quitman, Texas.
She was born Jan. 22, 1903 in Cedar Creek Mo.
Little was preceded in death by her husband, former Seminole resident Jack S. Little in 1963; and three sons, Lowell Little, 1978, Kenneth Ray Little, 1978 and James Alvin Little, 1995.
Survivors include one son, Harold Eugene, Quitman; one daughter, Betty Ruth DePew, Quitman; 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Jewell Long
Memorial graveside services for former Seminole resident Jewell Faye Long, 66, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday at Little Cemetery.
Long died Saturday, July 3, 1999 at her Norman home.
She was born March 18, 1933 in Seminole to Theodore Roosevelt Jackson and Selina Bell West Jackson.
A registered nurse most of her life, Long and her husband, Robert C. Long Sr., had celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary recently. He survives her of the home.
Long was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Charles Jackson; one sister, Opal Jackson; one daughter, Judy Hathcock; and one son, Christopher K. Long.
Other survivors include three sons, Robert E. Long and Robert C. Long Jr., both of Seminole, and Theodore Collier, California; one daughter, Kimberly Mae Renegar, Seminole; and 13 grandchildren.
The family has suggested that expressions of sympathy may be made to Hospice of Norman.

Richard Looney
Funeral services for Seminole resident Richard Randolph Looney, 78, were held this morning at Swearingen Funeral Chapel.
Rev. Dwayne Bobbitt and Rev. Glen Pense officiated at the service. Burial followed at Little Cemetery.
Looney died Saturday, Feb. 13, 1999 in Seminole.
He was born April 14, 1920 in Morgan, to Bloomer Ann (Pickett) and William Radford Looney.
He moved to Seminole 19 years ago from Odessa, Texas.
A veteran, Looney served in the US Army as a private first class.
He retired as a diesel mechanic in 1989. Looney was a member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church.
He was married to Rosie Inez (Williams) Looney on Dept. 8, 1976 in Odessa. She survives him of the home.
Other survivors include three sons, Richard Ray Looney and Lonnie Allen Looney, both of Odessa, and Frank William Looney, Oklahoma City; three stepsons, Richard Ray Selvey, Oklahoma City, Michael Edward Selvey, San Angelo, Texas, and Jeffery Shawn Selvey, Waynoka; one stepdaughter, Kathryn Carlene Thompson, Oklahoma City; one brother, Willie Ray Looney, Lebanon; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Casket bearers are listed as Richard Ray Selvey, Michael Edward Selvey, Bobby Thompson, Ronnie Adams, James Looney and Ali Moradi.

Joe Lord
Graveside services for Maud resident Joe Lord, 85, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday at Resthaven Memory Garden in Oklahoma City.
Arrangements are under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home, Oklahoma City.
Lord died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 1999 in Oklahoma City.
He was born June 8, 1914 in Oklahoma City to C.E. and Goldia Lord.
An employee for Cities Service Gas Company for several years, Lord was employed by Douglas Aircraft during World War II.
A rancher, he moved to his childhood home in 1946, where he operated a dairy and raised beef cattle.
In 1965, Lord relocated to Maud, and continued ranching until ill health forced him to retire in early 1999.
He was married to Monty Lord; she survives him of the home.
Lord was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Audrey Duffy and his daughter, JoEllen Lamb.
Other survivors include one son, Mark Lord, Round Rock, Texas; one brother, Clifford Lord, Oklahoma City; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
The family has suggested expressions of sympathy may be made to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation or the donor’s charity of choice.
