Funeral services for lifelong Wewoka resident Russell H. Mainard, 87, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday at Stout Chapel.
Neil Thompson will officiate at the service. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
Mainard died Friday, April 16, 1999 at Presbyterian Hospital in Oklahoma City.
He was born Nov. 11, 1911 in Wewoka to Josh L. and Pearl (Chadick) Mainard.
A veteran, he left the Wewoka area only to serve in the US Army, where he served in North Africa and Italy.
Mainard was a member of the First Christian Church in Wewoka, and owned and operated Mainard Insurance Agency for many years.
He married Virginia Mainard in Cushing; she survives him of the home after 61 years of marriage.
Other survivors include Jerald and Relda Mainard, Dallas, Texas; W.C. Wood, Centerville, Texas; Barron Wood, Phoenix, Ariz.; Irene and Al Morton, Yorba Linda, Calif.; Michael, Melissa and Steven Mainard, Texas; Jon and DeDe Stuart, Tulsa; Al, Kathy, Patrick and Katigan Hullum, Tulsa; Brent, Cynthia, Dillion, Russell, Mark and Kailyn Katigan, Ardmore; Nikki, Tommy, Laci and Logan Azlin, Wewoka; Don and Mary Ann Neal, Tulsa.

Weldon Malone
Funeral services for Maud area resident Weldon Eugene Malone, 69, were held Monday at Assembly of God Church in Asher.
Rev. Clyde Quick officiated at the service. Interment followed at the Kettler family cemetery.
Malone died Friday, Sept. 10, 1999.
He was born Feb. 20, 1930 in Savoy, Texas to Liller Mae and Denvil Malone.
A concrete mason, Malone had spent the last 25 years in the Maud-Asher area.
He married Lorene Kettler in Lubbock, Texas on May 24, 1947. She survives him of the home.
Other survivors include five children, Barbara Roberts, Weatherford, Texas, Thomas Malone, and Sue Griffin, both of Amarillo, Texas, Cheryl Lewis, Weatherford, Texas and Ronald Malone, Asher; two brothers, Roy Malone, Slaton, Texas and Kenneth Malone, Ft. Worth, Texas; one sister, Francis Wilkins, Las Cruces, N.M.; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were grandsons.

Louis Malone
Funeral services for lifelong Seminole County resident Louis Malachi Malone, 80, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at St. Mark’s Baptist Church in Wewoka.
Rev. B.G. Renfro of Parker’s Chapel Baptist Church will officiate at the service. Burial will follow at Westwood Cemetery under the direction of Myers Mortuary.
Malone died Monday, Feb. 1, 1999 at Wewoka Nursing Center.
He was born Feb. 8, 1918 in Belles County, Texas, and was a lifelong resident of Seminole and Wewoka.
Malone was retired from the City of Wewoka, and was a member of Church of Christ.
He was married to Wilma J. Malone; she preceded him in death.
Survivors include one son, Denver Malone, Seminole; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

J.P. Manley
Funeral services for Konawa native J. P. Manley, 76, were held today at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel in Shawnee.
Rev. E.T. Long officiated at the service.
Burial followed at Resthaven Memorial Park.
Manley died Saturday, May 22, 1999 at an Oklahoma City hospital.
He was born March 31, 1923 in Konawa to Jarrett P. and Lona (Riley) Manley.
A veteran, Manley served during World War II, and then retired from the oil fields.
He was of the Baptist faith, and had lived in Shawnee since 1972.
Manley was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn L. Manley, Shawnee; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family has suggested that expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3800 Cromwell, Oklahoma City, Ok., 73112.

Rev. Milton Marina
Funeral services for Wewoka resident Rev. Milton Marina, 98, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday at Clearview Community Center in Clearview.
Burial will follow at Clearview Cemetery under the direction of Williamson Funeral Home, Wetumka.
Marina died Saturday, Jan. 3, 1999 at his home in Wewoka.

Orville Markley
Funeral services for former Seminole resident Orville H. Markley, 86, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel.
Rev. Michael Goolsbay will officiate at the service. Burial will follow at Little Cemetery.
Markley died Monday, Jan. 18, 1999 at his Shawnee home.
He was born Jan. 15, 1913 in Maramec to Bert and Eliza Opal Wells Markley.
He attended public schools at Yale, where he lived until he was 15.
Markley then moved to California until he was 18, then moved back to Oklahoma and lived in Seminole, Prague and Shawnee areas since.
He had been an oil field worker for 22 years, and retired from Tinker Air Force Base as a federal employee in May, 1978.
Markley attended the Nazarene Church.
He married Thora Geneva Eberius in Atoka on Dec. 23, 1933. She preceded him in death.
Markley was also preceded in death by his parents and two sons.
Survivors include one sister-in-law, Donnie Work, Edmond; one cousin, Ruth Dodd, Florida; and special friends, Richard and Linn Nowlin, Shawnee.

John Marshall
Funeral services for former Seminole resident William Godfrey Marshall, 75, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Swearingen Funeral Chapel with Rev. Pascal Bevan conducting the services.
He died Sunday Nov. 14, 1999 in Oklahoma City.
Marshall was born in Crownwell on Oct. 11, 1924 to Thomas Benton Marshall and Lillie May (Dove) Marshall.
He spent most of his life in Seminole.
Marshall served in the United Sates Army during World War II from 1941-1945.
He received three silver stars and three bronze stars for his service in combat.
Marshall worked as a security officer and for security services during his lifetime.
He was married to Alpha (Houck) Marshall on June 5, 1949 in Seminole who survives him of the home.
Marshall was a member of the Church of Christ in Seminole.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Frank and Jeff Marshall; and one sister Lessie May Akers.
He is also survived by two sons, Tom Marshall, Moore and J.W. Marshall, Columbus, Neb.; one daughter, Shern Marshall, Oklahoma City; three brothers, Tex Marshall, Las Vegas, Cletas Marshall, Bakersfield, Calif. and Carlos Marshall Bakersfield, Calif.; 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Bertha Martin
Funeral services for Bertha Castoe Martin, 80-year-old former Maud resident, are scheduled for 2 p.m Wednesday.
Services will be graveside at Cummings Cemetery, with Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating.
Burial will be under the direction of Knight Funeral Home.
Martin died July 4 at Colonial Estates Nursing Home in Shawnee.
She was born April 5, 1919, in Searcy, Ark., to John William and Member Elizabeth (Drury) Castoe.
Martin was a homemaker and a member of Oklahoma Avenue Baptist Church in Shawnee.
She married Clarence J. Birdsell on Sept. 4, 1937, in Seminole. He died July 23, 1960.
She later married Bill Martin, who preceded her in death in 1984.
Martin was also preceded in death by her parents and 10 brothers and sisters.
Survivors include one son, Harvey Paul Birdsell, Shawnee; three daughters, Carrie E. Mangus, Shawnee, Bernice A. Lee, Canton, Texas, and Christine L. Cummings, Drumright; one brother, Robert Castoe, Oklahoma City; two sisters, Sylvia Price, Stroud, and Syble Tilton, Oklahoma City; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
