Funeral services for Konawa resident Algernon G. Morgan Sr. 67, are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Thursday at High Springs Church.
Rev. Don Factor will officiate the services. Burial will follow at High Springs Church Cemetery under the direction of Stout Funeral Home.
Wake services are scheduled for 6 p.m. Wednesday at Stout Funeral Chapel, Wewoka. Procession to High Springs Church will begin at 9 a.m. Thursday.
Morgan died Monday, March 8, 1999 at his home in Konawa.
He was born Nov. 27, 1931 to John and Minerva Morgan in Sasakwa.
Morgan was raised and attended Sasakwa schools. He was baptized at Springfield Methodist Church, Okemah in 1950.
He was in the army and served in the Korean War.
Morgan married Irene Berryhill on Nov. 14, 1950 in Wewoka. She survives him of the home.
He was preceded in death by his parents in 1951, and one son David Lee Morgan in 1983.
Other survivors include children Malcolm Morgan, Konawa, Alta Geneice Morgan, Tulsa, Phealan Perry Morgan, Las Vegas, Nev., Alvena Ayala, Guthrie, Algernon G. Morgan Jr., Shawnee, Richard Dion Morgan, Memphis, Tenn.; one sister, Willette Walker, Ada; 19 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Larry Tiger, Christopher Tiger, Douglas Worchester, Hobbie Carpitcher, Hondo Carpitcher and Prentice Tiger.
Honorary pallbearer will be Wendell Williams.

John Morgan
Funeral services for lifelong Seminole County resident John Douglas Morgan, 79, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church.
Revs. Robert Cocke and David Karges will officiate at the service. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Morgan died Monday, Oct. 18, 1999 at Seminole Medical Center.
He was born July 23, 1920 in Konawa to John Sylvester and Matilda Elizabeth (Gist) Morgan.
He moved to Seminole 51 years ago from Konawa.
A veteran, he served as a staff sergeant in the US Army.
Morgan was employed as a parts manager for Cornelison Engine Maintenance.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 204, and the Methodist Church.
He married Ruby (Gammon) Morgan on Dec. 3, 1941 in Baird, Texas. She survives him of the home.
Morgan was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Carl Gist Morgan.
Other survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Jenny Morgan, Seminole; one daughter, Paula Faught, Ft. Worth, Texas; one brother, Paul N. Morgan, Little Rock, Ark.; five grandchildren, Sean Morgan, Chris Morgan, Matt Morgan and Andy Faught; and three great-grandchildren, Mason Morgan, Kali Sledge and Emily Sledge.
Casket bearers are listed as Sean Morgan, Chris Morgan, Andy Faught, Matt Morgan, Jeff Morgan and Charles Carpenter.
Honorary bearers include Leon Freeman, Claude Cornelison, Jim Whitt, Gib Foster, A.C. Bundy and American Legion Post #204.

Dorothy Morris
Funeral services for Konawa resident Dorothy Helen Morris, 76, are scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday at Pickard Funeral Home Chapel.
Pastor David Fry will officiate at the services. Interment slated to follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Morris died Wednesday, Oct. 13, 1999 in Ada.
She was born July 20, 1922 in Chicago, Ill. To Josephine and Arthur Eastman.
A registered nurse, Morris served in the United States Air Force, where she was a Lieutenant, and stationed in Japan.
She had lived in the Konawa area since 1969.
She was married to Herbert A. Morris on Oct. 2, 1954. He survives her of the home.
Morris is also survives by one son, Philip E. Morris, Ada; three daughters, Jamie Orsburn, Wewoka, Sonja Atkison and Carol Tidwell, both of Ada; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Herbert Morris
Graveside services for Konawa resident Herbert Amber Morris, 80, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at Rosedale Cemetery in Ada.
Pastor David Fry will officiate the service under the direction of Pickard Funeral Home of Konawa.
Morris died Tuesday Dec. 14, 1999 in Konawa.
He was born in Caney on Feb. 19, 1919 to James Yancey Morris and Maggie Morris.
Morris married Dorothy H. Morris in Reno, Nev. on Oct. 2, 1954.
She preceded him in death on Oct. 13, 1999.
He worked as a carpenter and building contractor and lived in Konawa for the last 30 years.
Morris was a veteran of World War II and the Korean conflict.
Morris is also preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters.
He is survived by one son, Phillip E. Morris, Ada; three daughters, Sonja Atkeson and Carol Tidwell both of Ada and Jamie Orsborn, Wewoka; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Jude Morris
Word was just received of the death of former Wewoka resident Jude Morris, 85, in Dallas, Texas.
Funeral services for Morris were held at Danville Cemetery in Kilgore, Texas, with Rev. David Hampton officiating.
Morris died Thursday, Sept. 16, 1999.
He was born July 11, 1914 in Williford, Ark, to Emanuel and Tina Morris.
A veteran, he served in the US Army during World War II.
Morris was a member of the Baptist Church.
During his years in Wewoka, Morris was employed with Norton Forsee Chevrolet and Cadillac Agency.
Survivors include his wife, Freda Morris, Dallas; one daughter, Peggy Ladd, Richardson, Texas; one sister, Pearl Rader, Golliad, Texas; and two grandsons.

Loretta Morris
Funeral services for Cromwell resident Loretta M. Morris, 64, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Okemah.
Rev. Charles Harelson officiated at the service. Interment will follow at Bearden Cemetery.
Morris died Sunday, July 4, 1999 in the Colonial Park Nursing Home.
She was born Nov. 22, 1934 in Kelleyville to Albert and Annie (Cherry) Peepers.
A Seminole resident since 1956, Morris had worked as a cook in several local restaurants.
She married Jo Bill Morris in 1973 in Ada. He survives her of the home.
Morris was preceded in death by one sister, Dean Hasbell Peace, and three half-brothers.
Other survivors include two sons, Joe Dell Peepers, Wolf, and Alvin Ray Tatum, Okemah; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for former Seminole County resident B.F. Morris Jr., 76, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Cromwell Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Morris died Sunday, Jan. 31, 1999 in Sulphur.
He was born March 5, 1922 in Bearden to Ben F. and Beryl Dunn Morris.
A veteran, he served in the US Army Air Force during World War II.
Morris retired from Oklahoma Natural Gas after 37 years of service, and was a member of the IOOF Lodge in Okemah.
He married Grace Marie Morphis on March 11, 1944 in Okemah.
Survivors include one son, Wayne Morris, Bearden; two daughters, Pat Cheek and Aldean Nichols, both of Okemah; three brothers, Bill Morris, Cromwell, Ralph Morris, Odessa, Texas, and Frank Morris, Okemah; four sisters, Binine Alcorn, Woodlake, Calif., Eva Grace, Holdenville, Jessie Phillips Cromwell, and Vera Desjarlais, Fletcher; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
