OKLAHOMA CITY - Graveside funeral services for Maud native Anna Mae (Peters) Patton, 87, were held today at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.
Arrangements were under the direction of Smith and Kernke Funeral Home.
Patton died Monday, Oct. 18, 1999 in Oklahoma City.
She was born July 12, 1912 in Maud to John and Antonia Peters.
Patton was a graduate of East Central State Teachers College in Ada in May, 1935, and also received a lifetime certificate to teach home economics in Oklahoma public schools.
She lived in Stillwater until 1991, when she moved to Oklahoma City.
She was married to Ralph A. "Red" Patton on Jan. 4, 1937 in Hugo. He preceded her in death in 1990.
Patton was also preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Willie B. Peters, Anton H. Peters, John A. Peters, Carl F. Peters and Harry Peters; and one granddaughter.
Survivors include one daughter, Patricia Ann Cales, Oklahoma City; one son, Leroy James Patton, Oklahoma City; one brother, Jasper Peters, Phoenix, Arizona; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.

Elbert "Pat" Paty Jr.
Funeral services for Seminole resident Elbert "Pat" E. Paty Jr., 70, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel.
Rev. Marion Oden will officiate at the services. Burial will follow at Little Cemetery.
Paty died Saturday, Dec. 11, 1999 at Veteran’s Hospital, Oklahoma City.
He was born May 13, 1929 in Vilonia, Ark. to Jack Paty and Ida Mae (Veneble) Paty Holt.
He had lived in Pauls Valley for a while before moving to Seminole, where he had lived for the past 20 years.
A veteran, Paty served in the United States Army.
He married Wanda Dean (Jordan Paty on March 26, 1979 in Ada; she preceded him in death on Jan. 19, 1995.
Paty was also preceded in death by his parents; his stepfather, Roy N. Holt; one grandson in 1980 and an infant great-grandchild in 1989.
Survivors include three sons, Lindsey Paty, Pauls Valley, and Roy Adam Paty and Pat Paty, both of Wynnewood; one stepson, Odie Jordan, Seminole; four daughters, Linda Prestwich, Stratford, Brenda Lacquement, Pauls Valley, Nancy Maxwell and Twyla Beaver, both of Wynnewood; two stepdaughters, Cathy Hilton and Sue Holland, both of Seminole; one brother, James Paty, Conway, Ark.; one sister, Ruth Gitley, Vilonia, Ark; 30 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
Casket bearers are listed as Brandon Paty, Matthew Lacquement, Lance Jordan, Erick Hilton, Les George, Kenny Long and Tommy Robertson.

Bridgette Payne
Funeral services for lifelong Konawa resident Bridgette Payne, 8, are scheduled for 3 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Konawa.
Rev. Darrell Witten will officiate at the service, assisted by Revs. Charlie Henthorne, Carl Hayes and Bob Payne.
Interment will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery.
Payne died Monday, Oct. 18, 1999 in Konawa.
She was born Nov. 1, 1990 in Seminole to Susan and Leo Payne. They survive her of the home.
Other survivors include two sisters, Brittiny Payne and Kristeena Payne, both of the home; and grandparents, Goldie Payne, Konawa, and Doris and Athel Harris, Brooksville.
Pallbearers include Leon Payne, Marcus Harjo, Dean Payne and Jimmy Yelley.
Honorary bearers include Dean Payne Jr., Kevin Rosamond, Chris Edwards, Chris Burns, Jimmy Edwards and Shawn Edwards.

Frances Peacore
Funeral services for former Seminole County resident Frances Marie (Miller) Peacore, 63, are scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday at Snake Creek Baptist Church.
Revs. Bill Hobia and T.J. Fixico will officiate at the service. Interment will follow at Snake Creek Cemetery under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel.
Peacore will lie in state at the funeral chapel today, and a wake service is set for 10 a.m. Saturday.
Sunday services will begin at 4 p.m. at Snake Creek Baptist Church.
Peacore died Wednesday, Dec. 15, 1999 at an Oklahoma City hospital.
She was born Nov. 20, 1936 in Seminole County to Dixie Alex and Irene (Cornelius) Miller.
Peacore attended Strother School and Chilocco Indian School in Newkirk.
She had lived in Ridgecrest, Calif., for 18 years before moving to Shawnee, where she was a longtime resident.
A member of the Seminole Indian tribe, she was employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
She married Leon Joseph Peacore on March 6, 1959 in Shawnee. He survives her of their Shawnee home.
Peacore was preceded in death by her parents, one son, David Peacore, one brother, Billy Joe Miller, and one sister, Katherine Nina Miller.
Other survivors include two sons, Joaquin Miller and Randall Lee Peacore, both of Shawnee; two daughters, Mary Lou Green, Shawnee, and Francine Irene Johnson, Defiance, Ohio; three sisters, Martha Money and Karen Miller, both of Seminole, and Josephine Miller, Shawnee; three brothers, George Miller, Denver, Colo., Alan Miller, Seminole, and Josey Miller, Shawnee; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Verne Pearcy
Funeral services for Verne Pearcy, 86, mother of Maud resident Derrell Pearcy, are scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday at Fairy Baptist Church, Fairy, Texas.
Bro. Bob Ray will officiate at the services. Interment will follow at Fairy Cemetery.
Pearcy died Tuesday, Dec. 7, 1999 at Hamilton General Hospital in Fairy.
She was born Nov. 7, 1913 in Comanche County, Texas.
A homemaker, Pearcy was a member of Fairly Baptist Church.
She was married to Hollis Pearcy; he preceded her in death March 2, 1997.
Survivors include four sons, Rogers Pearcy, Granbury, Texas, Neil Pearcy, Belton, Texas, Jan Pearcy, Fairy, and Derrell Pearcy, Maud; two sisters, Mae Burke, Sundown, Texas and Virginia Goodman, Stamford, Texas; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Phillip Pennington
Funeral services for lifelong Seminole resident Phillip Ryan Pennington, 18, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel.
Terry Newell will officiate at the service. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
Pennington died Monday, Sept. 27, 1999 at his home.
He was born Oct. 16, 1980 in Shawnee to Phillip W. and Linda Gail (Lane) Pennington.
A 1999 graduate of Varnum High School, he was employed at Western Sizzlin.
Pennington was survived by his parents, of the home; grandmother, Ernestine Lane, Seminole; sister and brother-in-law, Marva and Joe Clower, Seminole; aunts and uncles, Rick and Suzette Pennington, Duncan and Jack and Paula Lane, Seminole; one niece, Dawn Clower, Seminole; cousins, Lori and Chris Madrid, Texas, Tina Lane, Richardson, Texas, and Chris and Bryan Goostree, Seminole; and special friend, Cassee Henson, Seminole.
Casket bearers are listed as Bryan Goostree, Chris Goostree, Wes Lane, Emery Selzer, Jonathon Selzer and Jeran Cox.
Varnum School Superintendent John Cope said he will dismiss school at noon on Wednesday to allow students and faculty to attend the services.

Booker T. Perry Sr.
Funeral services for Booker T. Perry Sr., 75, are scheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 301 W. Gale.
Bishop W.E. Davis, Montgomery, Ala., will officiate. Burial will follow at National Cemetery, Muskogee, under the direction of Evening Springs Funeral Home, also of Muskogee.
Perry died Thursday when his Seminole home was destroyed by fire.
He was born March 17, 1924, in Pauls Valley to Mr. and Mrs. Tom Turner. He spent most of his life in the Ada and Seminole area.
Perry was retired from the US Army.
Survivors include two sons, Theodore Edward Nash, Denver, Colo., and Booker Thomas Perry Jr., Seminole; one sister, Charlotte Davis, Montgomery; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Tyran Perry
Graveside services for Wewoka resident Tyran Montez Perry, 3 month old son of Floyd and Martina Perry, were held this morning at Westwood Cemetery.
Rev. F. Washington from Macedonia Baptist Church officiated at the service. Burial was under the direction of Myers Mortuary.
Perry died Monday, Jan. 18, 1999 at Valley View Hospital.
He was born Oct. 5, 1998 in Ada.
Perry was survived by his parents.
