Funeral services for Wewoka native John W. Perryman, 51, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at McClendon Funeral Home Chapel.
Rev. Russell Houser will officiate at the service. Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. Sunday, and until noon Monday.
Perryman died Friday, March 5, 1999 in Okmulgee County.
He was born Aug. 18, 1947 in Raymond B. and Louise L. (Myers) Perryman.
He was a carpenter and a member of Carpenter’s Local #943 in Tulsa, and was employed by the Tracy Woodworking Shop.
Perryman was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson.
Survivors include his wife, Olivia (Ganus) Perryman; two sons, Gary Lee Hurst, Luther, John Burk Perryman, Las Vegas, Nev.; one sister, Janie Goostree, Yukon; three brothers, Ron Perryman, Seminole, Don Perryman, Wartrace, Tenn., and Richard Perryman, Benton, Mo; and two grandchildren.
The family requests that memorials be made in Perryman’s name to the Okmulgee Library Foundation for Audio Books.

James Peters
KONAWA — Funeral services for James Loyd "Jim" Peters, 67, Konawa, were held Monday at the Abundant Life Tabernacle.
The Rev. George Carson officiated. Services were under the direction of Criswell Funeral Home, Ada.
U.S. Marine Corps Reserves Fox Battalion 214 of Oklahoma City conducted military honors at the burial at Non Cemetery.
Peters died Thursday, June 10, 1999 at his home.
He was born Jan. 9, 1932 at Stoney Point, south of Calvin to William Henry Peters and Inez Shropshire Peters.
Peters attended grade school at Stoney Point and C-Bar and high school at Calvin.
He began 20 years of service in the Marine Corp when he enlisted in February 1951 at the age of 19. He served in both the Korean and Vietnam wars, and was awarded various medals and honors before retiring from the military.
Peters had several country and western bands during his time in the military and played throughout this area after the service.
He was All-Around Champion Cowboy for two years while serving in the military.
After moved to the Allen area in 1979 after his retirement from the military. He was a bus driver for the Allen school system and retired from the State Highway Department in Ada in 1994.
He was a member of the Abundant Life Tabernacle in Konawa.
Peters married Victoria Naranjo in 1951. In 1979 he married Jewel Probasco.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Peters, of the home; two sons, Buck Peters, Ada and Dusty Peters, Detroit, Mich.; two daughters, Carmen green, San Jose, Calif., and Lana Breslin, Denver, Colo.; a brother, Ray Peters, Calvin and two sister, Pearl Larabee, Non and Dorothy Farris, Holdenville.
Pall bearers were Leroy Dunn, Bob Willard, Stewart Johnson, Ronnie Bible, James Summers and Loyd Parmalee.
Honorary bearers are Harold "Fuzzy" Rice, Billy Graham, Travis "Bo" Honsinger, Robert B. Honsinger, Stanley Honsinger and Archie Russ.

Raymond Phillips Jr.
Funeral services for Raymond Phillips Jr., 70, brother of Seminole residents Jeraldene Frye, Seminole, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday at Parks Brothers Chapel in Stroud.
Rev. Leon Williams and Rev. Harold Gaches will officiate at the service. Burial will follow at Davenport Cemetery.
Phillips died Sunday, Aug. 15, 1999 in Cushing.
He was born July 20, 1929 in Kiowa to Raymond and Jessie (Westlake) Phillips.
He was a resident of Lincoln County for the past 35 years, and was a mechanic for Allied Material Corp., Trucking Division.
Phillips was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Davenport.
He married Kathy Humphrey on Aug. 3, 1956 in Chickasha. She survives him of the home.
Phillips was preceded in death by his parents.
Other survivors include four daughters, Cheryl Williams, Chandler, Sharon Miller, Tulsa, Lisa Myers, Broken Arrow, and Sandy Messer, Kendrick; three brothers, James Phillips, Stroud, T.L. Phillips, Clinton, and Ernie Phillips, both of Davenport; six sisters, Jeraldene Frye, Seminole, Bertha Cook, Little Axe, Mildred Williams, Stroud, Dottie Nidell, Moore, Sue Williams, Stroud and Linda McGee, Cushing.
Also surviving him are five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Jay B. Phillips
Funeral services for Jay B. Phillips, 45, son of a Cromwell woman, were held Monday under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home.
Phillips died Friday, Oct. 22, 1999 at the Veteran’s Hospital in Oklahoma City.
He was born May 16, 1954 in Oklahoma City to J.B. Phillips and Jessie Rose Morris Phillips.
Phillips was a disabled veteran who served in the Army during the Vietnam Era.
He was a Catholic and was living in Talihina at the time of his death.
Phillips was preceded in death by his father.
His mother survives him of Cromwell.

Jay Phillips
Funeral services for former Seminole resident Jay Carl Phillips, 38, are scheduled for 4 p.m. Saturday at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel.
Rev. Carl Whitfield will officiate at the service. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.
The casket will be open until service time. Once closed, it will not be re-opened.
Phillips died Thursday, June 3, 1999 at his home in Holdenville.
He was born Oct. 12, 1961 in Okmulgee to Jay and Sarah (Crain) Phillips.
He attended Seminole schools in his early years, then graduated from Holdenville High School in 1980.
Phillips graduated from Seminole State College with an associates degree in Computer Science, then attended East Central University in Ada.
A machinist, Phillips worked on computer lathes, and was a former employee of Eaton Corp. in Shawnee and National Oilwell in McAlester.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Seminole, and served on the Holdenville City Council for one year.
Phillips was preceded in death by his mother.
Survivors include his father, Jay and Laurie Phillips, Seminole; his former wife, Trisha Phillips, Holdenville; two brothers, Kerry Causey, Seminole, and Kevin Causey, Norman; three sisters, Connie Ann King, Broken Arrow, Debbie Pierce, and Deanna Causey, both of Shawnee; and his grandparents, N.J. and Isla Mae Phillips, Seminole.
Casket bearers are listed as Brian Smith, Phillips Eckles, Brownie Harjo, Gene Kelly, Jeff Leonard and Lloyd Hunter.

Lela Phillips
OKLAHOMA CITY - Funeral services for Wewoka native Lela Mae Phillips, 69, are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist North Church.
Rev. Billy Renfro and Rev. C.D. Ford will officiate at the service. Interment will follow at Westwood Cemetery under the direction of Williamson Funeral Home, Wetumka.
Phillips died Sunday, Sept. 19, 1999 at Terrace Garden Nursing Home, Oklahoma City.
She was born April 8, 1930 in Wewoka to Earvin James Watson and Bessie Lee Mosley.
Phillips received her education at Douglas High School in Wewoka, and joined with Chapel Grove at an early age.
In 1947, she married Archie Douglas Sr., then moved to the Shiloh Community in 1948, where she became part of the New Hope Baptist Church.
She married Randy "Pompey" Phillips. He preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Nathaniel Dough and eight sisters.
Survivors include seven children, Larry Douglas Sr., Midwest City, Jacquilinee Johnston, Spencer, Glenda Shaw, Oklahoma City, Brenda Atkins, Kansas City, Mo., Josephine Ford, Midwest City, David Douglas, Del City and Archie Douglas Jr., Midwest City; one sibling, Luvell Watson, Midwest City; 38 grandchildren, and 27 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are listed as Jerry Hughes, Ray Blackshire, Freddie Griffis, Mackilee Samilton, Glen Alexander, Stanley Alexander, Elray Alexander and Calvin Thompson.

Nathaniel Phillips
Funeral services for Seminole native Nathaniel Phillips, 72, are scheduled for noon Wednesday at Macedonia Baptist Church in Wewoka.
Arrangements are under the direction of Even Spring Funeral Chapel, Muskogee.
Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
Phillips died Friday, April 2, 1999.
He was born Oct. 27, 1926 in Seminole to Willie and Ethel Phillips.
Phillips was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Bessie Mae Simpkins.
Survivors include two brothers, Bill Phillips, Oklahoma City, and Tom Phillips, Bakersfield, Calif.; two sisters, Versie Mae White, Kansas City, Mo., and Margaret Carter, Oklahoma City.
