A memorial Mass for longtime Seminole priest Father Thomas Rabideau is scheduled for 7 p.m. Monday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
Archbishop Eusebius J. Beltran will officiate.
A Mass of Christian Burial and interment is scheduled for 4 p.m. Tuesday at St. Gregory’s Abbey, Shawnee. Officiating will be Rev. Martin Lugo, OSB.
Funeral services are under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel, Shawnee.
Rabideau died Wednesday at St. Ann’s Home in Oklahoma City.
He was born Sept. 29, 1916, in Oshkosh, Wis., to Joseph and Anna (Penzenstadler) Rabideau. He attended St. John’s Seminary Prep School in Collegeville, Minn., and high school at St. Gregory’s in Shawnee.
He was received into the novitiate of St. Gregory’s Abbey in 1936 and made his monastic profession in 1937.
He earned a bachelor of arts degree in philosophy from St. Benedict’s College, Atchison, Kans., in 1939, and spent three years in theological studies at St. John’s Seminary.
He was ordained into the priesthood in 1943, and began teaching biology and coaching sports at St. Gregory’s.
During the summers, he worked toward a master’s degree at the University, completing it in 1950.
He also served as curator of the Museum of Art Gallery at St. Gregory’s.
In 1951, Rabideau was appointed pastor of Immaculate Conception parish in Seminole, where he served until December, 1996.
During the 1960s, he started a mission church, St. Cecilia’s, at Maud.
He also continued to teach life science and engineering graphics at St. Gregory’s high school and college.
Rabideau was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Dominican Sister Mary Lourdes Rabideau; and one brother.
Survivors include three nephews, Daniel, Richard and Thomas Rabideau; his monastic community at St. Gregory’s Abbey; and his parishioners at Seminole and Maud.

Don Rains
KONAWA — Graveside services for longtime Konawa resident Don Eldon Rains, 61, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday at the Vamoosa Cemetery.
Charley Henthrone will officiate. Interment is under the direction of Pickard Funeral Home.
Rains died Wednesday, Nov. 17, 1999, in Oklahoma City.
He was born March 5, 1938, in Vamoosa to Eunice and Willie Rains.
Rains lived all his life in the Konawa and Oklahoma City areas.
In September 1961 he married Judy Rains in Oklahoma City; she survives him of the home in Oklahoma City.
Rains was a truck dispatcher and a Baptist. He was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy.
Other survivors include his mother, Eunice Rains, Konawa, two sons, Kenneth Rains, Oakland, Calif., and Jason Rains, Bethany; one brother, Bill Rains, Konawa; three sisters Jo Spencer, Greenville, Texas, Sue Powell Tucson, Ariz., and Charlotte Powell, Pinetop, Ariz., and four grandchildren.

Chester Rainwater
Graveside services for Sasakwa resident Chester O. Rainwater, 76, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday at Wolf Cemetery.
Ed George will officiate at the service. Interment is under the direction of Stout Funeral Home.
Rainwater died Thursday, April 29, 1999 in Sasakwa.
He was born Jan. 22, 1923 in Seminole County to Otto and Maggie (Brake) Rainwater, and was raised in the Lone Dove area.
A veteran, Pockrus served in the US Navy during World War II. He worked as a plumber and a rancher.
Rainwater had been a continuous resident of Oklahoma since his return from California in 1951.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Jewell Rainwater, two brothers, Orbin and Paul Rainwater; and one sister, Luanna Wheeler.
Survivors are listed as Sharon Campbell, Killeen, Texas, Elwyn Rainwater, Sasakwa, Marilyn Rainwater, Wanette Coker and Rollie Rainwater, all of Seminole, one brother, Jerry Rainwater, Claypool, Ariz.; three sisters, Lois Woodruff, Garber, Lucille Ballard, Bakersfield, Calif., and Polly Rundell, Magazine, Ark., and six grandchildren.
Pallbearers are listed as Harrison Doolin, Bill Armstrong, Phil Fowler, Mike Hailey, Vernon Isaacs and Terry Harjo.

Nadean Ramsey
Betty Nadean Ramsey passed away on Saturday, Aug. 21, 1999, at Seminole Medical Center at the age of 70.
She was born to Harley N. Mead and Ludie Pearl (Moore) Mead on July 28, 1929 in Lenna, Okla.
She moved to Hughes County as a young child and lived eight miles west of Wetumka, where she attended Lawnwood Schools.
She was married to Paul T. Ramsey on Nov. 1, 1946, in Ada, Okla.
They lived in Holdenville for five years and in California for 10 years before moving to Seminole, where they have lived for the past 30 years.
She worked as a cook for Seminole State College for over 20 years.
She was affiliated with the Assembly of God church.
She was an avid fan and supporter of the SSC Trojan baseball team and was their designated "granny."
She is survived by her husband, Paul Ramsey, of the home; one daughter, Paula Moradi, and husband, Ali, of Seminole; three sons, Gary Ramsey and wife Donna of Wetumka, Ricky Ramsey and wife Sharon of Wetumka, and Mark Ramsey of Seminole; four grandchildren, Crista Ramsey of Seminole, Stormy and Jeremy Ramsey of Wetumka, and Shonda Rogers, Holdenville; two great-grandchildren, Quinn and Brady Rogers, Holdenville; one brother, Warren Mead and wife Geneva, Eufaula; one sister, Pat Smith and husband Gerald, Wetumka; nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25 at the Assembly of God Church in Seminole.
Rev. Charles Story and Rev. Doyle Long will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Coach Lloyd Simmons and the SSC Trojans.
Interment will be at Holdenville Cemetery under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home.
Memorial donations may be made to the Nadean Ramsey Memorial Scholarship Fund, which has been established in her honor at Seminole State College.

Homer ‘Dean’ Redding
Memorial services for longtime Seminole County resident Homer "Dean" Redding, 80, are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel.
Mike Stanberry will officiate at the service.
Redding died Thursday, Dec. 16, 1999 at Wewoka Nursing Center.
He was born Feb. 20, 1919 in Weleetka to James Henry and Flora Elizabeth (Smock) Redding.
He was a resident of Seminole County since 1958.
A retired auto mechanic, Redding owned and operated a garage for many years.
He married Norma Cook on Dec. 20, 1938. She survives him of the home.
Redding was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Peggy Haskins; four brothers and one sister.
Other survivors include one son, Paul Redding, Wewoka; three daughters, Frankie Lee Hamil, Tulsa; Sherrie Vogt, Grain Valley, Mo., and Phyllis Jean Browning, Seminole; 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Tracy Reeves
Graveside services for former Seminole resident Tracy Reeves, 37, are scheduled for 2:30 p.m. at Maple Grove Cemetery.

Reeves died Friday, Nov. 19, 1999 in Oklahoma City.
She was born June 5, 1962 in Seminole to Robert A. and Ginger (Neese) Reeves.
Her mother preceded her in death.
Survivors include her father and stepmother, Robert A. "Wink" and Mary Sue Reeves, Shawnee; two sisters, Shelly Holmes, Seminole, and Kelly Reeves, Shawnee; one stepbrother, Tony Dockrey, Shawnee; and six stepsisters, Martha VanBeber, Patty Ann Campbell, Diane Weddle, Kay Lilley and Nancy Dockrey, all of Shawnee, and Janet Melton, Oklahoma City.
Robert Reynolds
Graveside services for Wewoka resident Robert Don Reynolds, 47, were held Monday at Oakwood Cemetery.
Rev. Merideth Robinson officiated at the services. Arrangements were under the direction of Stout Funeral Home.
Reynolds died Friday, Oct. 29, 1999 at his home.
He was born July 23, 1952 in Wewoka to Chester C. "Jake" and Dolores (Brinsfield) Reynolds.
He was reared in Lawton, and attended Lawton Schools, graduating in 1970.
Following graduation, Reynolds attended OSU in Okmulgee.
He worked in Texas, Oregon, and Oklahoma City, then moved to Wewoka in 1988 and was employed with Sertco Company in Okemah until the time of his death.
He was preceded in death by his father in Oct., 1991.
Survivors include his mother, of Wewoka; one sister, Sue Cook, Duncan; three brothers, Larry Reynolds, Wewoka, Billy Floyd Reynolds, Oklahoma City, and Michael Lynn Reynolds, Faxon.
